We are in last place. We traded away a quarterback that had a lot of success in this offense for Bradford AND gave up picks to pay him a lot more than Foles. The quarterback that was traded away had a 27-2 ratio one year and a 7 TD game. So far Bradford is making that move look completely unnecessary and a terrible decision. Does he change that and shake off the rust, we will see. I feel good about most of Chip's moves besides this one and am a Chip supporter, you can't nail them all. Sproles was a brilliant move. No I supported Foles, and if you remember, I never sat there and whined about how bad he was. I was skeptical of the trade, but at the end of the day, our roster is better then it was when Chip took over. If Chip hated Foles, or didn't want him, then I didn't want him either. We've all had to pretty much be all in on Chip this year as he makes some big ballsy moves... some will hit, some will not. But I'm happy he took a huge risk on a QB that has a better shot at a title then Foles does, even though I concede that he has a better shot at a losing season then Foles does. I'm sick of barely missing/making the playoffs and being a bitter unhappy fan doesn't make losing any more satisfying.

He didn't look decisive but he didn't look terrified like a rookie and god awful in the first half. Nelson fumbles a ball when we're driving.... is that on Sam? Jmath and sproles drop catchable balls.... is that on him too? Like I said earlier, I think its a confidence thing with Sam and his Oline/Run Game/Poor WR play has made him look much worse then he actually is. But like you say, QB's will unfairly get all the hate when things go bad.

Yea I never gave Chip credit. Just the Eagles in general for bringing him in. I like how he threw Howie under the bus though for Marcus Smith when that had no inclination of bring a Howie pick (way to early and desperate last second choice). Howie was never unprepared for the draft. He lived for it.

Unreal that the defense let Washington score a touchdown there at the end. They had to go 90 yards and a field go wouldn't help them. This one is on the defense. That was just horrible.

Negatives: More damn drops. Eagles inability to convert a crucial third down when they need to. The horrid kicking game.

Positives: Bradford played his best game of the year, although it was still far from great. I thought it was the most comfortable he's looked. 270 yards w/3 TDs and no interceptions is more like what I thought he'd do when we acquired him. Hopefully, the improvement continues. Murray ran better. Although it would have been near impossible to run worse.

As a positive guy by nature, I can look at this team, and say that only the Cowboys have looked like a better team than the eagles. We were one possession from beating both Atlanta and Washington. And Atlanta is proving to be a damn good team. And we beat the Jets, who are 3-0 in other games. I suppose the negative to that is that these guys don't seem to have the ability to win the close game. 1-3 in a year when the division is ripe for the tasking. Such a frustrating year.

Oh, another positive is the way Bradford went downfield a few times. Also Agholor finally made an appearance.

When did I say Bradford was a machine? He was not "####### brutal" the first half. When did he miss open guys? He had no time and had numerous passes dropped. He wasn't amazing, but he was far from "brutally bad"

I missed red zone today, how did Bradford look, he was on my bench, and his stats seemed good.. But can I get a rundown?

He was 10/17 for 195 yds and 3 TDs in the 3rd and early 4th quarter. The rest of the game, 5/11 for 75 yds, no TDs.

Yup but those stats in the 3rd quarter still count. There are only about 3 or 4 super stud QBs who look good for all 4 quarters every game and Bradford isn't one of them. However, he did finally put his team in position to win the game and actually looked good with the deep ball. Definitely can't blame the defense given that they kept the team in the game in the first half. When in doubt, just blame the kicker.

I'm anti Bradford in that it was an unnecessary move. The money and the draft picks for a QB only marginally better on paper than what we have. Yea I give Chip credit for taking the shot on something he believes in (supposedly). I just don't think we needed to take the risk (unless it was a failed attempt to get Mariota in which case maybe he didn't risk enough).

That's a more thought out, calmed-down-after-the-game analysis that I like from you. Also appreciated you being able to admit in the other thread that Bradford was improving each week and was better this week then in the past. Don't think anyone can say he didn't look better overall today then previous weeks, and that's at least going the right direction.

I share the same fear that by the time he starts clicking for a full game it may be too little too late. Like Fred said, very few NFL qbs are putting up 4 quarters of the play and/or stats that people are expecting from him. People will hound him on his stats when they suck, and now he puts up good stats and they abandon the stats argument and go to the eye ball test to support their ranting.

We haven't drafted an OL in the first 5 rounds since Lane Johnson. So not sure mu h would change.

Exactly, we gave up a high pick to improve at QB and so far have gotten worse. I believe there is something it the deal where if he plays under a % of snaps it goes to a 3rd but still brutal trade so far. Foles was fine if this is the alternative.

Next year we need to draft OL in the 1st unless we are high enough to go QB, and load up on OL in FA and the rest of the draft too. We've got the skill players now, bring in the beef.

You guys can debate Bradford and Foles until your fingers fall off. This team doesn't win because of the offensive line. They are the worst I've seen in twenty plus years. They aren't getting beat by stars. Kelce and the guards are getting BLOWN UP by journeyman defensive tackles. They stink. They stink at all five spots. Lane has probably been the best of the bunch and he's not playing well at all. Pass protection has been either solid or a complete breakdown/unblocked blitzer but that isn't uncommon in the league. The run blocking is unwatchable. I'm not sure what happened to this team. This isn't Herremans and Mathis. Herremans was awful last year anyway. They could use Mathis but it wouldn't solve anything on this year's team.

Kelce is a shadow of the Kelce of old. Peters is clearing playing injured when he does play. He is very beatable for the first time in his career. Lane gets beat regularly. Even Celek, who is praised for his blocking, is regularly getting pushed around and/or forced into a hold.

All this other stuff doesn't matter. They've had drops, missed kicks, etc, but if they could magically clean up the line play all the other things would fall into place. Bradford hasn't been great but he still looks like he has more ability than Foles. He made some great plays yesterday, albeit against a poor secondary. The TD to Celek was an amazing escape from a sack. There are a lot of guys posting with short memories here. Foles was brutal in 2014. I can't imagine he would do well with ZERO run game and no Maclin. I'm not sure Tom Brady could succeed on this offense right now.

I just don't know how Kelly can fix it. They don't have the personnel. You can't likely trade for a lineman in midseason let alone five, which is what they need. Without a gimmicky solution to the run game, this will continue to be a maddeningly frustrating season and a waste of the best defense they've had since Jim Johnson was alive.

Yet you still continue to choose to discuss it. If Bradford had led us to a game winning drive in the end, or had a great game and we lost, would you EVER come in here and say "I was wrong, Bradford was great". Thing is, you're the one with the problem who is unable to ever say they were wrong.

I'd love that. But the constant bashing of Bradford will inevitably continue. Eagles fans are notorious for hating their own team. Not sure why we can't just say "he wasn't great, but he improved a lot, had a solid game overall, but he as well as the wr's, oline, rbs, etc need to pick it up and play better". Calling for Sanchez right now is insane.

Seriously, wrap it up already. It's not your place to tell anyone how they are suppose to feel about how he has played which isn't good at all. Everyone knows your position, lets move on.

He played good enough to win us the game today. That's all I'm saying and that's all that matters. It's not your place to tell me how I'm supposed to feel about it anyways. This used to be a place to discuss the team with good fans who would rather the team win then be right as opposed to ESPN and CSN comment sections filled with anger and hate. I'm as pissed off as anyone about being 1-3, but think the blame goes all around and am more pissed at our fumbling, pass dropping, interception causing WR's and our Oline that can't get our run game going if their lives depended on it. We are 30th in the NFL in Rushing yards.... that in my opinion is our number 1 issue yet is barely being talked about compared to Bradford.

You've destroyed the last 10 pages of this thread letting everyone know how you feel, we get it. It's very reasonable for people to be unhappy with Bradford, he has stepped into an offense that has been a machine the last 2 years and makes it look terrible at times with flashes of being OK. We are in last place. We traded away a quarterback that had a lot of success in this offense for Bradford AND gave up picks to pay him a lot more than Foles. The quarterback that was traded away had a 27-2 ratio one year and a 7 TD game. So far Bradford is making that move look completely unnecessary and a terrible decision. Does he change that and shake off the rust, we will see. I feel good about most of Chip's moves besides this one and am a Chip supporter, you can't nail them all. Sproles was a brilliant move. After what Bradford has shown so far though it is completely reasonable for fans to be unhappy with him and the fact the trade was made. 100%.

If you are a Chip supporter and feel good about most of his moves, then go with that. Talk about the brilliant moves, but there's been very few posts about how good of a pickup Sproles has been. It's okay to cheer for Bradford's success, it won't hurt as bad as you think.
