*Official 2015 Philadelphia Eagles* - Winning when it doesnt count (4 Viewers)

I hung onto Bradford after the shaky start, how does everyone think he will do this week vs the Giants?
Depends on what half it is, obviously.
If he throws for 300 and 3 TDs, I don't care if he does it all after the two minute warning.
I wasn't serious
I'm waiting for you to express some excitement that 'your team' (lol) won Sunday. And that Bradford had 300+ yards. Nothing?
Maybe he did a little jig in his living room on Sunday.

Lol I was far too busy explaining to 'real fans' why they shouldn't be yelling for Mark Sanchez to dance.

I'm reporting everyone in this thread for improper fandom.

I also agree with the sentiment above that Mathews has looked better than Murray. It could just be a usage issue, but it is definitely true.

Murray just looks like he's running with trepidation. Mathews picks a lane and blows through it. Not sure if Murray is being patient and waiting for a hole to open that never does, or if he's just not as quick as last year, but he looks slow.

Just watched the 10 minute game highlight film on the nfl network's ondemand menu. Have to agree with the above posters that Matthews looks much better, you really notice the difference when the game is sped up.

I think it's this. Murray was used to way bigger holes opening up with that talented line so he seems to kind of be waiting for that big hole to burst through and it never opens up. Seems he is trying so desperately to hit the second level for a 15 yard gain on every play when it's just not going to happen with this oline.

Excited about Mathews but worried about durability so I'm glad we have both and don't have to hold our breath everytime Mathews gets one of his 25+ carries. 15-20/10-15 split would be nice.

Exactly as I thought. Eagles win. Murray and Bradford play well. You have nothing to say. Please stop passing yourself off as an Eagles fan. You're just a troll.
You reported me to admins. I have nothing to say to YOU.
You have nothing to say to anyone. I didn't ask for a private message. "Your team" won. You've said nothing. All you felt the need to do was make excuse in the Foles-thread about how bad his line played. lol It's laughable.
He did say something after we won in here. He bragged about his prediction of GB beating St Louis in here remember? Some people just won't give credit where credit is due. Even if Bradford plays a great game this week, you won't see him acknowledging that, which shows a lot about the person who clearly is so concerned about making the right call that he boasts about his predictions in every thread.

He's gotten into it with lots of other posters on here in other forums so it's clear there's an issue with him and his posts. Hell, he even told someone to hang themselves in this one.....

I know he's just a troll. I just enjoy making fun of him for it. Funny thing is, the Eagles won and looked good in doing so, and the Rams could killed and Foles threw them the game with four picks. And instead of being happy that the Eagles won and look to be improving, he's actually sad because his troll act was put on hold for a week.

Does anyone know his age? Teenager, right?

I'd start him. I can see a tight game and us trying to get the run going again, but it's hard to argue against playing the WORST pass D in the NFL (and the 2nd best Rush D)

So, Giants..Any chance Kendricks is back? Hicks has been stellar, would love to have Kendricks back to cover Vereen though. If the 49ers could shut down Vereen, they'd have won. Hicks will be great, but I think a vet in coverage will be better.

I think he just looks slow in comparison.

You rat on people on internet forums  Make fun of me when my life is that pathetic

My god junior I was going to ask you if you were a 14 year old girl. This thread is unreadable thanks to your incessant whining, no joke it's worse than my 16yo HS sophomore. See yas in the game day thread.

I like the Hawkinson signing. I admit I knew nothing about him before today, but did a quick read up and sounds like given our OL situation, he could be a good fit, and barely missed making the Bengals final squad this year.

:lmao: Vandervelde got cut again. It's comical now, but he's got to be looking at his phone and screaming "WTF!, OH COMON!" every time the team or his agent are calling him. Doubt he picks it up next time.

There is some talk of Beckham having a leg issue (hamstring, perhaps). I even heard that his availability Monday night is unknown.

In an perfect world, you'd like to have enough confidence in your team to want their opponents at full strength. But this isn't a perfect world and the way other teams' number one receivers have been destroying Maxwell, I wouldn't mind see OBJ in street clothes.

Murray or Mathews?
Murray... Mathews look faster, more agile, and decisive with comparable power. You want Murray in the hands department. The coaches had Mathews in during some key spots when it was still a game. It's something to watch for the guys waiting for Murray to return to form.

ok, gotca. yeah you and I are in agreement. Chip is in a fairly unique situation in that he's not going to have the GM breathing down his neck to play the $13 million guy. If Mathews is playing better, then he'll get the nod I think.

Are you on team Deamon/Newbie or team ShaHbucks? This is important to know going forward.

Better worded: Team Eagles or team McCoy/Foles?
I don't think anybody's on McCoy's team.
That's why I don't even respond. Who was saying not to pay McCoy first here? I was crazy for saying that too because he just had a career year when I first mentioned it.*I actually liked the McCoy trade. Just didn't understand why replace him with another expensive RB. Made no sense. Matthews/Sproles would be just fine. But let's not ruin the fairytales they've made up.

Yeah but I was the first to say he was gone, so take that buster! :P

So when we signed Murray, had Maclin already signed with the Chiefs?

If not, the Eagles would probably have been better off right now if they had passed on Murray, just signed Mathews, and re-signed Maclin. That would have let them go elsewhere in round 1 (maybe OL?). Maclin's presence would have given Bradford a deep threat right away, which would in turn help the other receivers get open, which in turn helps to open up the running game.

If so, then never mind, signing Murray would not have affected what we did with Maclin.

Of course the benefit of having both Murray and Mathews will play out if one of them gets hurt.

A fun little story: My nephew works at the Cabela's in the Christiana Mall (Delaware) and who should stroll in last night but Sam Bradford. Oddly enough, the only person who recognized him was my nephew who discreetly said hi to him and to not listen to the jackasses on 610. Bradford said thanks and said he thinks things are really starting to jell right now and they're opening up more and more of the playbook as the weeks go on.

I thought the last thing was telling.... almost like he was saying 'yeah, I know the offense has been dry as a week old turd, but we're getting there'.

You are the man. There is no competition in here in that department

Maclin signed on March 8 or 9.

Murray signed on March 12.
When was it that we thought we had Gore? Was that around the same time as the Chiefs signing Maclin?
Based on the thread, it appears that as of March 8, Gore intended to sign here, then he signed with Indy on March 10.
Thanks. I wonder what Chip would have done had Gore agreed to come here. With Gore's age, maybe still go after Mathews, I suppose. That would have been a cheaper option.

You guys are welcome in advance. I was going to roll with Bradford as my fantasy QB this week which of course would have doomed him to a zero TD, 3 Int performance. I have since switched to Brady. Eagles should be fine this week.

I miss the hermits insider info

I watched the game over, the Eagles could have easily scored 60+ had everything been clicking. Two red zone picks, going for it on fourth ect.. They were in Saints territory all game. Saint are terrible. The offense looks hit or miss. Playing a helpless team like NO a half a century is possible.

My frustration with Matthews looks like Bradford is just under throwing him. He should still catch the ball, but it doesn't look as bad as I thought. It might just be because I own him everywhere. The connection looks fine.

Bradford is a QB1 over the next 6-7 weeks. All good matchups.

Not once have I watched a game and thought Chip is really trying to get Murray going or force feeding him. This RB split is real.

Eagles 22-30

I'm not betting there. Took Mia, Was, Pitt plus the points and GB -10.

And oddly enough the Saints found a way to win the week before.

I'm not sure about the game itself. It would appears as if we are starting to get going and confidence can go a long way. On the flip side so are the Giants. I wont be shocked with either outcome but I do see it as a 3 point game either way. Beckham and Randle both wont be 100%, that could be pretty big

And Prince Akamura (sp?) will be out for them at corner. Any word on Kendricks?

The oddest thing is I have the Atl/NO game 24-20. Despite the records and difference in play my model has it as a close game??Same here. It's a huge game for both teams.

They're facing Carolina next week aren't they? I would rank Sam too high in that game probably.

For sure. Giant are without Amukamora and give up 300+ y/gm. They had issues with Kaepernick. Enough said. Doesn't matter if you think this offense is rolling or not this week. Giants pass defense is as flimsy as NO.

Nice post though. Now if Bradford plays well, you can defend bashing him by saying "I was right, look at my post saying how good he'd be this week". Remarkable.
