*Official 2015 Philadelphia Eagles* - Winning when it doesnt count (4 Viewers)

Spread was 4 points. You picked a 4 point game and are bragging about it as if it was a wild prediction against all odds.
He's got the next half dozen eagles games covered too. Bradford does well, he predicted he'd be a QB1 because of their "easy schedule". He does poorly, he told us all that the trade was a mistake. The youngster covers all the angles. :lmao:

So no that "awful" Saints team that we beat has beaten Dallas and Atlanta in 2 of the past 3 weeks. Talk radio here is probably really confused what to make of us right now....as am I lol

Master Splinter, please bump one post where you've added value to the conversation. I'll wait...

I contribute plenty. I'm constantly talking about the Eagles. But I also like to point out your trolling and transparency. How you cover your ### all the time. Classic trolling. But I'm not coming down too hard on you. I understand that this has been a tough stretch for you. Eagles playing much better and Foles forgetting which team he's throwing to.

Now back to the Eagles...

I predict a 27-21 victory. Matthews and Sproles having big games. And Sturgis kicking a 50 yarder.

This thread sure is dead when the Eagles win. Nothing to complain about. That's Eagles fans for you.
I think it has more to do with tempering our excitement until we see them perform at that level over a few games. I think most realize it was against another bad team. Beat the Giants this week and I'm sure the excitement level will go up a bit.
Off topic slightly but watch that bad team beat Atlanta this week because the NFL doesn't make sense lol
I want in on this prediction action! :boxing:

We do need to move on guys. Lets get back to :football:

If Beckham can't go, I think we win this one. Our run defense and LB's should be able to shut down their small game - we just need to limit the over the top stuff. If Beckham is a go (and I think he will play), it's a tossup, imo. I can see a 3 point game either way. The Giants run defense is going to hold us down, so hopefully Bradford is on point earlier then the 2nd half.

I'm pretty much there with you, but seems we're in the minority ... Birds are favored by 4-1/2 up from 3-1/2 at the open, which isn't a huge move, but the ML has moved from -185 all the way to -250. Gun to my head, I think we win, but 5:2 favorites? Against a team that's been playing better football most of the season than the Eagles have, that line goes past "kinda high" into "really trying to get money coming in on the Giants" high.

Hoping Vegas as usual knows more than the fans do ... :boxing:

Beckham is injured, that probably moved the line a little bit (I think we opened as 3 point favourites).

Giants are playing well for sure, but last week they didn't look great whatsoever. They've had a tough time against us the last few games and this is probably the worst we've ever seen their pass D. It kinda sucks because the only games we've won have been games we've rushed over 100 yards, and we've lost the rest.

Falcons 63 - Loss

Cowboys 7 - Loss

Jets 123 - Win

Skins 87 - Loss

Saints 186- Win

We need to run the ball but when you face a team with the #2 rush D and #32 pass D, it seems to bode well for the opposite.

Way off topic(not like we stay on one anyway)

In an era where WRs do whatever they want to defenses, Andy Reid still runs an offense centered around a screen passes to RBs? Charles was special enough to make it plausible, but dam they've looked bad without him. I'm not anti-Reid. He can coach a solid squad. But, it might be time to blow that team up already. Wow. I doubt the front office even knows this yet. It's over Andy and his decade old offense

It was over for Andy Reid when Jim Johnson died.

McNabb and Westbrook is who made Reid's offense work with their pure athletic talent. McNabb's ability to extend plays and Westbrook was able to do everything that was asked. Even then they never were an offensive juggernaut. It always drove me nuts to watch Reid go full conservative just because we scored a couple TD's early in the game.

The season starts over today gentlemen. Big night for Sam to Matthews, and mouth breather Eli gets his Gomer face look going right out of the gates.

Eagles win 42-17 and take over the 1 spot in NFCE

E A G L E S, EAGLES!!!!

I hope the offense can continue what they started against New Orleans. As the season progresses, game outgames are making me feel less bad about our play thus thus far. The Jets are are real good team, and we beat them. The Saints were supposed to be an awful team but beat the undefeated Falcons four days after they played us.

I do think that losing those winnable games against Atlanta and Washington are going to bite us in the ### later, but it certainly looks like we're headed in the right direction.

I also agree that Matthews is going to come up big tonight. Last time he played on Monday night (week 1) he had 10 receptions and a touchdown. I think we see that guy again tonight.

I don't care so much about the volume of catches Matthews has, just that he catches everything thrown to him. No drops.

Forgot we headed to Carolina to face a red hot team next week. Just want to be 1-1 in these two, then head into the bye. Will be nice to have our critical road game in Dallas coming off of a bye and without romo (and maybe dez). Regardless, clearly can't go into the bye 2-5, and with how good the panthers look, we really really need tonight.

I want 2-0.

Now look who the optimist is :P

Just being realistic. Two tough teams. Would love 2-0, but would be satisfied with 1-1.

i'm hoping Carolina has a letdown after beating Sea in Sea this week. And i have to be honest, i have always liked Ron Rivera. if we have to lose one, i'll take the hit next week. will also benefit my un9.5 wins for the Cowboys for the season

Yep. Can't be 3-4. I like our chances oddly enough against Carolina even more. I just buy that team. They have nobody at the skill positions other than Newton and Olsen. I think eagles D can handle them.

whew, just watched the piece on ESPN about Fletcher Cox and his older brother. real easy to be a fan of this guy. I'll take 1 Fletcher Cox to 4 Greg Hardy's

123 page official game thread and the game hasn't even kicked off yet?

Man, Iggles fans take things seriously on this here board!
