*Official 2015 Philadelphia Eagles* - Winning when it doesnt count (2 Viewers)

I get the Bradford experiment. Props to Kelly for giving it a shot. Is it time yet to call it a nogo though? Make a change after the bye maybe?

:lmao:

Look I'm not the biggest Bradford fan but we just won 27-7. He stays in unless he throws 12 picks next week.

Defense looks outstanding. Demolished our arch rivals. Won 3 of the last 4 games. 1st place in the NFC East. Warts? You bet. Offense looks bad from the OLine to the QB to the WRs.

But this can be fixed/better as the year goes on and they gel. Great second half home/travel schedule setting up nicely post-bye.

More good than bad here IMO.

also one kicker away from being 5-1. just a weird season

So who is everyone cheering for in the NYG/DAL game next week?
Has to be Giants....right?
Absolutely the Giants. You want the Cowboys buried as deep as possible when romo and dez comes back.
Ya good point. They have a better team now, and a better record, but don't want Dallas to have a sniff of life once their team comes back. Plus we have a tiebreaker over NYG as of now, but not over DAL.

That being said, not sure NYG will beat DAL next week off their bye.

Cassell is the Qb. So there's that.

But he's due for a new contract after this season, so the question is:

How much do you pay to bring him back?

The up-and-down season (rather than clearly good or clearly bad) makes this a very difficult call, and if you tack that on to his injury history, this is a very, very risky situation for the Eagles.

if he can eliminate those killer end zone picks, he'll be fine. He missed a few throws last night (Ertz in the end zone and Matthews on the comeback while scrambling ) but easily outplayed Manning. Manning was like Bradford in the Dallas game. No time to set and find a receiver. Can they franchise tag him? And get another year to evaluate?

82% win on the defense again and that's fine. But it's more than just endzone picks on Sam. He just doesn't look comfortable to me. Indecisive and seems to be making the wrong reads along with some godawful misses thrown in way too often. At least he's taking shots downfield now. Six weeks in I was hoping for far more consistent QB play.

Running game is getting better. The read option is not working between Demarco and Sam. And they need to stop the sweeps. Murray needs a head of steam going straight forward, stop the delays and sweeps, they aren't working.

Defense was just silly again. Billy Davis proving me wrong with better players. If we had the lackluster CBS from last season this could be really ugly. Good job all around from the D, and thank god for LB depth, get well soon guys.

Carolina blew their load last week in Seattle. We'll beat them next week.
Here's hoping the week after playing the Seahawks trend continues. But it's starting to look like Seattle is a borderline trainwreck. Still don't think Carolina is that good, good defense it's probably going to be an even uglier game than last night.

I was wondering if Chip might put in a pistol package for Murray so he could have more of I-Back look.

I thought it was a great game. Other than the first drive, the birds thoroughly curb stomped ny. A couple of concerns, apart from the injuries..

Bradford and the Wrs are STILL seemingly not on the same page. Multiple times it was apparent to me that either the WR/RB ran the wrong route or Bradford threw the wrong one. Early sproles wheel route and cooper stop that resulted in an int are 2 that pop into my mind. There were others.

Wtf is up with Kelce? Getting penalties downfield, missing blocks, ANOTHER bad snap followed by ANOTHER bad snap.

All in all I thought it was a great win and should get some momentum going. Hope demeco and company are all healthy come Carolina time. I think we can beat them.

Ryans said after the game it was minor and he should be fine for Sunday.

Was surprised Sproles came back in so soon.

We'll see what WR can suit up on Sunday. More 2TE might be a good thing against Carolina.

Bradford is awful and will be the bane of this team. If the Eagles are interested in making a run for he playoffs they need to bench this stiff ASAP. I could not watch this guy's expression last night any longer and turned the game off. Every time he short hopped a pass or threw a pick it looked like he wet his pants.

We'll see. I think they're a great team. I hope we get healthy and if so we have a shot. So many guys will be questionable next week.
Great team? I wouldn't go that far
This will be Carolina's toughest test. Seattle is really struggling and Carolina has beaten a bunch of cupcakes. I don't see greatness either but if they dominate the Eagles, I may change my opinion. The only team in the NFC that I would consider great/very good is GB

Cool story bro

now imagine how Giants fans felt about Eli.

I wonder what would have happened in that game had Ryans not stripped the ball. The Giants offense looked unstoppable up to that point.

I know. That was such a momentum changer. This defense is starting to get scary-good. And Alonso and Kendricks are out.

Even though the offense still isn't clicking 100%, I think our defense gives us a good chance to beat Carolina. No one else made Eli and the Giants look so pathetic this year.

Scary thing is our offense is getting better every week. We will be a tough out. Did you guys hear Mike and Mike this morning? Greenberg trying to say we need to play sanchez. Lmao

Goes to show how he's playing overall. And they're not really getting better IMO, last night wasn't too much different than week 1 in Atlanta.

Honest question, if Nick Foles had played this way through six weeks, you're telling me every fan wouldn't be calling for a QB change right now?

I think Sam is getting a longer leash because of his injury comeback and being new to the team. If he was a a four year QB on this team everyone would be calling for his benching.

You may be right, but those reasons you give are legit. Also, I doubt you'd be hearing much about benching a QB after winning 3 or 4 and taking over first place in the division.

You are right and he should get a longer leash. We know exactly what we are getting with Sanchez. Bradford does have a higher ceiling. But you can't put this all on Bradford as there are some miscues with the WR's. In reality Bradford should be looked at as a blue chip rookie this season. You take any elite QB and make them sit out for 2 years and see just how good they are when they return.

Yes I believe they could tag him for a year, but would he hold out?

And if so, then what?

And if next season plays out with the peaks and valleys like this one did, is that someone you extend for the high price he'll surely ask for?

I'm not calling for a switch either and the reasons are ok. And you're right it wouldn't come now after winning 3/4 and first place... BUT It would've been REAL loud after week 4 sitting at 1-3 if this were Foles/4 year QB. Would you agree to that?

Yeah, the flashes of great throws-which he's made- are completely overshadowed by the bad decisions. Especially in the red zone and on strikes to the endzone. He's got to have 3-5 ints IN the endzone. #### like that just deflates anything else. And its not all on him, BTW. our WR corps, when healthy is sub-par across the board. Matthews is a decent WR but he is certainly not a #1. Agholor was (unrealistically) brought in to replace Maclin and he's looked absolutely lost. I'm sure he'll pick it up once he gets some games under his belt, but I don't see it happening this year. Huff flashes talent and then can't stay healthy. He had one catch in the beginning of the game last night and then was a ghost. Cooper just repeatedly proves what a bad idea it was to sign him long term-he's a 5th WR at best. Miles Austin?

The line has been playing much better-I think the 2 TE sets have helped immensely. Running game getting going. Bradford will be alright-someone just needs to grab him and shake him a little. Get the deer-in-headlights look off your face and start making good decisions.

On a positive, even with all turnovers, poor skill players and bad mistakes by Bradford, we've gotten close to 1000 yards of offense over the last two games. If/when things start clicking, with this defense, these guys should be a force.

Yes. And if Bradford hadn't missed two years. I give Bradford more rope because of the injuries/new system. I will admit, though, that the four red zone interceptions are infuriating. I seriously think it's why Chip didn't run another play before halftime and settled for the field goal. His decision making in the red zone is horrendous. And that is not injury related.

I'm not just talking about bradford. The running game has steadily improved and that's more important than anything for our offense. We turned the ball over all night and still won by 3 scores

You're not going to see the real Bradford until after the bye IMO. If they can get a win next week before the bye, without any major injuries, we could go on a very nice run.

Absolutely. Things are looking up. We're not going to finish 13-3. There are more losses on the horizon. But I don't think 10-6 is out of the question. Which is pretty damn good considering the 1-3 start. And that could win the division.

Eliminating the mental mistakes is huge at this point. The bad red zone throws by Bradford. The miscommunication with the receivers. Kelce and his penalties. There weren't near the drops last night by our receivers, so that's a positive. Demarco looked great.

Jordan Matthews had a costly fumble last night, but he was fighting his ### off for a first down. I'll take that any day of the week over a receiver who curls into the fetal position when he catches a ball over the middle.

Bradford lookso really bad and needs to get it together.

The defense is playing great (aside from that first drive) and is the reason they are 3-3 and not something like 1-5.

This team and offense has so much potential but all goes back to Bradford. He's being very inaccurate and accuracy was supposed to be his thing.

I'm happy the Eagles are right there but this team needs work.

Agreed as this team is all hype
Please tell me you're a Bears fan.
Sure am they suck and have sucked so what is your point?

Wtf is up with kelce? He's making multiple bone head plays every game. He's gone from one of our strengths to one of our weaknesses
