OFFICIAL 2016 Training Camp & Preseason: News & Tidbits Thread (2 Viewers)

Ravens fourth-round WR Chris Moore is in a walking boot.
He recently suffered a foot or ankle injury and has been sidelined the past couple days. This comes just two days after ESPN Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley issued a "fantasy alert" on Moore. The rookie was working with the starters with all three of Steve Smith Sr., Breshad Perriman, and Mike Wallace not on the practice field. Moore is unlikely to produce significant stats year one.

According to the Akron Beacon-Journal's Nate Ulrich, Browns second-year UDFA Connor Hamlett had a "stellar spring" and has been "among the most pleasant surprises" at camp.
Ulrich believes Hamlett is in the driver's seat early for the Browns' No. 2 tight end job behind Gary Barnidge. Coach Hue Jackson is expected to use plenty of two-tight end sets in what will likely try to be a run-oriented, ball-control offense. Hamlett stands a mountainous 6'7/259. He was signed as an UDFA by the Jaguars last year, but ended the season on the Browns' practice squad.

The Sacramento Bee says the 49ers' quarterback battle has been "even" so far.
That's in terms of both number of reps and performance. It's very early, but neither Colin Kaepernick nor Blaine Gabbert has separated himself from the other so far, and coach Chip Kelly has said he doesn't expect that will happen until the 49ers' preseason games. Kaepernick would be the higher-ceiling choice in Kelly's offense. The winner figures to open the season on a short leash.
