OFFICIAL 2016 Training Camp & Preseason: News & Tidbits Thread (1 Viewer)

The Boston Herald reports Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell has been diagnosed with a dislocated left elbow, but may only miss four weeks.
The injury had the looks of a potential season-ender, so it's extremely good news. It still knocks Mitchell out for the rest of the preseason, and leaves him doubtful for Week 1. It's also possible he'll need a Friday MRI to confirm the extent of the damage. Either way, injured reserve is probably no longer in his future. Mitchell is an intriguing stash in Dynasty leagues, but not a re-draft consideration.

First two plays of tomorrow night's preseason game between Titans and Chargers were auctioned off for charity. Two fans were allowed to sit in on the offensive meeting and will be on the sideline too. They went for 10k each.

I think this is a fantastic idea by Mularkey. I'd be in that meeting room like "look I see your gameplan and the script you're trying to run, but I want a flea flicker; I paid for a flea flicker"

Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald says Dolphins sixth-round WR Jakeem Grant's "stock is trending way up."
Grant is coming off a superb debut in Friday's preseason opener (four catches for 68 yards) and has been a standout performer at Dolphins camp. Coach Adam Gase agrees that Grant has been "as good as advertised." Grant is already locked in as the team's primary kick returner and could earn a bigger role in the passing game if he continues to impress.
