***Official 2017 NCAA Hoops Tourney thread: Congrats UNC, all the refs from NCCG should be banned for life*** (3 Viewers)

Well, er, yeah.  Boeheim, K, Williams, Pitino, Larranaga and Hamilton can all be reasonably expected to step down in the next five or so years.  They're all 70+ or close.  And it's not just 6 of the 15 coaches in the league turning over soon, it's four of the most currently successful coaches in the entire sport and two others who are arguably the most or among the most successful coaches in their programs' histories.  Lots of impact there for the conference and the entire sport.

I am also interested to see whether Indiana makes a run at Bennett.  I doubt he would do that jump but it's far from impossible.
Hoosiers hired Underwood from OK St.

The Australia pipeline into St. Mary's is what changed their fortunes.  Randy Bennett took over a team that won 4 games the year before.  Adam Caphorn was his first Aussie sign and helped them land Daniel Kickert soon after.  They've had success with Aussie players ever since.  They've had some other good players that weren't from Australia.  Remember Omar Sanhan?  He was a beast!

Next rule change needs to be stop giving timeouts when players are rolling on the floor fighting for the ball.  That used to be travelling anyway

Why didn't ISU even try for the rebound either?  They had one small guard lined up and everyone else was back at mid court.

Great win for Purdue.

Confident Mason and Graham will have openings against Purdue's guards, but wow there is no one on KU's roster who can guard Swanigan.  That's gonna be a revolving door of foul trouble.

ETA: may have tempted fate a little more than I wanted here, given this post assumes KU wins tomorrow.

#### me, they didn't even wait 4 hours

Hamilton also earned a contract extension, the details of which have not yet been released. The venerable Hamilton had been signed through the 2018-2019 season but will reportedly receive a two-year extension within the month.

The Northwestern/Gonzaga officials should not be allowed to referee another game in this tournament, and should be relegated to the Big Sky Conference next year.
