*Official 2019 Philadelphia Eagles Thread* - Season's over; Go Away Now... (1 Viewer)

Howard expected back this week, Ajayi being released, per Schefter.
Ertz Broke a rib and came back in to play according to Rap. No word on Ertz game status. Could've killed my fantasy #1 draft pick too but I won thanks to some cheap TD rushes by Gordon and Wentz effort earlier. Dude had Trubisky and Cohen going last night (Only guys left on either squad) and needed about 40 PTs to have a chance.

It's his rookie year anything can happen. Thats the problem with sports fans and analysis. Yes he looks good but how many guys have looked great only to die off after a few yrs or something. I Never said he shouldn't be in the NFL. I just don't think he's a 3 down player and the Eagles could really use a power back to go along with him and Boston Scott. Maybe if you want to keep a 4th you keep Clement who's serviceable has some returning experience, special teams and can fill in. A lesser role could save him from injury.
Man sanders looks like the real deal

Again I try not to put all my eggs in one basket anymore. Been burned too many times with guys. He looks good yes but we've seen a number of guys come to the NFL tear it up for a year or two and then do nothing the rest of their careers. I still didn't like taking him in round given the shelf life of RBs and I think some of the RBs in the class picked later haven't gotten the opportunities and he and a few others have received yet. He was I will say our best pick out of the whole draft so far. I really Wanted Josh Jacobs/Deebo Samuel/ AJ Brown/Greedy Williams. Sanders has gotten better with Ball security and pass pro though

I got the Dillard pick but I thought there were other needs more important at the time for the current season too.

In other news Max Kellerman still can't give Wentz credit and Dan Orlavsky might be a bigger Wentz fan then ME!!!!!!!!!!! Dude obliterated some detractors today

Per bo Wulf on the athletic. I will say from what I heard Scandrick was not well liked when he was with the team. Bradham comments resonates with every teammate who'd agree with him here

“He a Cowboy! He always been a Cowboy. He was a snake when he got here.” – Nigel Bradham on Orlando Scandrick

Half-jokingly, I asked a few veteran Eagles what they would say now to Scandrick, the former Cowboy who parachuted in for three games (and training camp) with the Eagles and then publicly torched the team after his unceremonious release. Jenkins and Peters both smiled before politely declining comment. Bradham was less tight-lipped.

It's fun to point out 'we're running with practice squad guys' - but I think thats a big part of WHY we're winning now.  I think if Greg Ward doesn't get activated and we're still trotting out Agholor we're eliminated already.

So Minnesota is officially locked into the 6 seed, and won't be facing us.  They'll likely rest up their players this week as they then travel to either Seattle or New Orleans in the opening round of the playoffs.

IF we win the division, then our opponent is all down to that Seattle/SF matchup.  The loser comes to Philly.  Still can't decide who I'd rather.  Seattle would be injured and not playing well, but has played outstanding on the East Coast this year.  SF would be on the road for their 2nd week in a row, coming off a tough loss, and traveling very far for a cold weather game.  Took a peek at the last 5 years and they haven't won a game in temperatures below 35 degrees in at least the last 5 years.  I think that would be a very tough atmosphere for them to play in.

Here's to a bit of snow, a bit of cold and a hostile crowd.  Best of luck!  first things first though, take care of business this weekend.

Yea, not even worrying about potential playoffs.  We needed OT to beat a Eli-led team at our house, its not gonna be easy for this beat up squad to beat the Giants at their house with Jones back.

Agreed, it would only be fitting for this season if we beat the Cowboys then lose week 17. This game is 50/50 I think.

Let me know what kind of prices you see.  Was discussing this with some friends last night.
seatgeek had some good seats for ~200 or so.  Wish they'd go cheaper, but I think Eagles fans are gonna be scooping them up.  Can't imagine Giants fans are clamoring to go to this game, but I'd bet Eagles fans are...

Through 15 games in 2019, Carson Wentz ranks 2nd in @Eagles single-season history in completions (365, 15 shy of record), 3rd in completion percentage (64.4%), 5th in passing yards (3,750, 167 shy of record), 7th in passer rating (93.4) and 8th in passing TDs (26).

8-8 but win the Division and go on a 3 week run starting at home vs a very good Wildcard Team in the first week. Once they knock them off, the rest will fall like dominos. Nobody is thinking about it but Philly has an awful lot of playoff experience and recently I might add.

I know they really shouldn't even be in the playoffs but they are, they're here right now, I will be rooting for the NFC East team in the Wildcard Round, prefer the Eagles and reading their fans talk about the sky falling at all times.

Philly 24

Seattle 21...the Seahawks little over rated and now DOA with no RBs.

Philly 27

New Orleans 24...the Refs will step in and screw the Saints.

Philly 21

Green Bay 20...1st Wilson, then Brees, finally you take out Aaron Rodgers

And the 11-8 Philadelphia Eagles will come to Miami to take on the Baltimore Ravens and get thrashed in a lopsided Super Bowl...sorry but the fairy tale ends in the NFCC 😉

I went by the Cowboys buses on Sunday morning. Didn't seem like they were leaving the hotel  any time soon for the stadium or I would have hung out just because.  I did ask the police outside if anyone pulled the fire alarm at the hotel overnight, They laughed and said said no.

  • Ajayi waived
  • Darby to IR
  • TE Richard Rogers signed
  • WR Deontae Burnett signed from practice squad
  • WR River Cracraft sign to practice squad
Sounds like Ertz might sit and I'm guessing Agholor won't be playing anytime soon, if ever again for the Eagles.

Agholar is done. FA at the end of the year. Nice to know you. Should just cut him.

Idk what to do about Alshon. It's clear he has an issue with Wentz no matter how much Carson tries to reach out to him. Plus Brandon Brooks talking about a snitch in the locker room no longer being there. Wonder who that is. Have to find a way to get rid of him. Howie can find a way.

Word around the team was that the snitch was Hollins. I’ve heard that from a few people.

If that’s wrong and they think it’s Jeffery he’s gone regardless. He’d have to be.

Best case is a trade, but can't imagine who would take him. Think they'll cut and just eat the dead money.

Get rid of them both

Merry Christmas!

Re SEA or SF, neither have been playing well recently, but a QB can win you games by himself. Give me Garoppolo instead of Wilson any day.

Only way they trade Alshon is if they pay someone to take his salary, ala Brock Osweiler.  Don't see that happening.,  I suspect they'll make it work for next year if its at all humanely possible.

Thats the first Ive heard this. I've heard mostly Jeffrey but had also heard Agholar mentioned in there too. From what I could tell Hollins seemed to be pretty close to Wentz unless he was one of those guys who hung out with you but when you weren't hanging with the guy he starts talking mad #### about you and everyone in the group to others

One thing for sure is he never caught any passes

Legit connections provide legit info.Hollins  is gone which lends credence

About the same. Injuries worry me along with defense on the road. Giants have some weapons. Just have to hope the team is dialed in for what's at stake.
