When do you just punt the season and try to get the highest draft pick you can? IMO, Dallas really crapped the bed by winning this week.

Whoever wins this division isn't doing themselves any favors. 

I don’t know DH, but I think tanking games on purpose does way more damage than good. First off you are assuming that Philly, or ANY team is going to hit on their first round draft pick. That’s not anywhere close to a 100% guarantee (especially in Philly), and we all know you can’t predict the injury factor for any of them. So to say “let’s quit trying and lose games so we can draft higher than our division rivals” doesn’t guarantee a stud draft, just guarantees that you told your team they are losers. Cowboys drafted 17th last year and was gifted CeeDee. No way he should have fell to them, but good players fall all the time. Consequently the Ryan Leafs, Jamarcus Russell, Andre Wadsworth types (showing my age now) end up busting to the teams who may also have told themselves “let’s quit and lose out, so to draft high”. So the difference between drafting 5/6/7 doesn’t really mean that much more success than drafting 18/19/20. However, for a team like Dallas I think the fact that they lost their leader, a QB who was leading the league and having a pro bowl year, but could still manage to fight to get better to the point they win the division- shows the team that they MATTER. That they fought the odds and weren’t told to be quitters. That speaks volumes about the confidence the coaches have in them and something to build on. Are the Cowboys or whoever wins the East going to get throttled and knocked out first round? Very probable. But a division title and a hard fought season that ends up with a 20ish draft spot seems much better than having a team that coaches, owners and players are a bunch of quitters hoping that their 5th round pick is the sole Savior to what ails them. Picks dont guarantee winners , but quitting guarantees losers. That is 100%.

I think I'm leaning towards Doug has to go. Never thought I'd get here. This is feeling like those early mccarthy years post super bowl. If we can get ahead of that now instead of keeping him around for another 5, that'd be great.

I keep thinking how quickly lurie got rid of chip when it started to really sour.  i think it may be sooner rather than later.   Just because you won a superbowl 3 years ago doesn't mean you get to destroy the team.  He looks clueless and has for more than this season.

You’re too into this. 

We’d have to have a much more nuanced conversation. Who’s coaching, OC, depth etc. As it stands now you have some awesome skill players and OL lead by Daniel Jones and a defense that seems to be more name recognition than production at this point for a decent amount of them

Its why Agholor kept being ran out there. Why JJAW is still on the field

Watching Derek Carr last night is why I still have hope for Wentz. It shows you what a good coach and scheme can do for a player. There’s so many other examples of this around the league.

The going for 2 stood out to me because normally he’s always been cool under pressure. He was always good at deciding on when to be aggressive and when not to be. While the loyalty is a huge flaw, that decision was just another domino that fell and was it for me. Even his aggressive decisions seem stupid and manufactured.

My prediction before the last two was 5 wins.

I thought they would win one of the Giants/Browns game though.  Still not sure though. Possible they luck into one unexpected win along the way, then win one of Wash/Dal.

Six wins will win the division though. Who can get to 7?  Everyone is at 3 - are any of these teams winning 4 out of 6?

Dal/Wash - one of these will win next week and get one.

Dal will prob beat Cinci. So if they can win three out of five (Was, NYG, Phi, Bal, SF) - that might be the easiest path forward.

Philly - no chance to win 4 more. (Sea, GB, NO, Was, AZ, Dal) - yikes.  Two is a stretch. Four is an impossibility.

NYG - Can prolly beat the Burrow-less Bengals, so there's one for them too. Three more out of (Sea, AZ, Cleveland, Bal, Dal)? Maybe two of those...

Was - Beat the Cowboys last time, so maybe one there. Then (Pit, SF, Sea, Car, Phi) - So, maybe if they beat Dal, they can beat SF, Car, Phi. Tough to see them pulling that out though.

Next weeks Dal-Was is actually going to be pretty interesting, as I think those two have the best chance here. Winner of that game will be the division lead, and prob will have the best odds to win the division.

I would hope not, however the rumors of players and coaches saying it amongst themselves when their teams are in a failing state have been around for awhile. They will always publicly say they play to win, but their actions may say another.
Frankly, Dallas’ Zeke getting paid and not caring enough to protect the ball, and Philly’s Peters standing around like a statue after his pay raise suggest they may both have that attitude. I don’t get it.

Sanders and the running game are always inconsistently used.

The league figured Doug out. Plain and simple. He’s loyal to a fault with no eye for coaching talent and his in game decisions are eroding.

Ive seen what Wentz can do in a competent scheme so I know the potential is there. Yes he’s played like trash this season. Wentz isn’t the star I thought he was going to be but a ton of his and the teams struggles all seem coaching related to me.

’17 happened like a lot of Super Bowls IMO. You have a new coach who doesn’t have a lot of tape for other teams, a couple hot players and some luck along the way. It took a ball going right through Julio’s hands, in the end zone, to win that game. Foles and Doug are hot in the next two games and it’s history. 

Mills probably should've been called for DPI on one of those throws to Julio as well. Vikings weren't as great as everyone thought they were and their QB was a cinderella story that the clock stuck 12 on.

You forgot SLay in there at CB. I know Bradberry is having a good year but Slay will shut down the opposing teams best Player. Allow Fuller to play the Nickel

Lurie acted quickly because Chip lost the locker room. Literally had guys on National TV quitting on the coach in the Washington Game. Duce was also going to Lurie constantly with what players were telling him concerns wise about Chip
