Official 2022 college football thread: its conference realignment season. (2 Viewers)

Hard to believe this is the first B1G school to play at Auburn. They’ve been playing for 50 years at Alabama.

HFS, Notre Dame is getting some serious ref help. First, Cal scores a TD and the WR does a dance for literally 2 seconds. Two arm pumps and that’s it. Ref had his hand on the flag so fast. Then, after a missed FG they call an offsides. The TV guys say they must have the luck of the Irish and they are laughing as the ref analyst says he sees no one offsides and the other announcer says it doesn’t even look close. On the replay, not a single Cal person moves before the snap and the guy they called it on was further back. Two plays after the gift and now it’s 7-7. The announcer even just said after the TD that sometimes you need a little break and even chuckled again.

It’s truly amazing how much refs can and do impact games. The ridiculous unsportsmanlike penalty got a FG chance from 45 and the offsides got a TD.

Touchdown Jeebus appears after phantom offsides call.
That was truly awful. It truly does make you think that people get paid off way more than we realize. They announcers just showed it again and it truly wasn’t even close and not a single guy even moved early. Awful call, so bad that it had to be a gift to ND. There’s truly no other way to see it because it was a huge call and wasn’t close.

Absolutely wild finish in Syracuse. Purdue up 9-3 at the half and end up losing 32-29 with 42 points scored in 4th Q. Purdue actually scored a TD to take a lead with 51 seconds left. Unsportsmanlike penalties after the extra point on player and a coach had Purdue kicking off from their own 10 yd line. Purdue lets Syracuse out holes with a defensive holding and a pass interference call. Syracuse takes advantage with a late TD.

Only possibility was if someone was lined up offsides but I didn’t see that either. It was a gift, but ND looks listless anyways. Will be shocked if they win this since we know how well they do in the 2nd halves.

When the announcers showed after ND scored, they drew a line between the two lines. You couldn’t even see the ball and they were able to draw a thick yellow line. It was pretty egregious, especially since no one jumped before the snap.

Indiana wins a HUGE come from behind game at home, in OT vs. Western Kentucky. The on-field celebration after the game by the Hoosiers had a College Football Championship victory feel to it...
Program win.

UCLA losing to South Alabama late in the 3rd, 31-23. Lots of mistakes.

In front of dozens of fans.

Par for the course for the Kelly era. Defensive incompetence, a roster lacking in talent and depth (especially in the trenches) and a lack of consistent execution have been UCLA's hallmarks since he's been here. Such a disappointment - I remember being excited when the Bruins hired him. He has shown himself to barely care about executing his duties as head coach. At least it won't cost too much to fire him this season.

I love the fact that Nebraska paid $7.5 million extra so they could fire Scott Frost 2 games sooner, only to get embarrassed at home the next week.

Dude was a smoke and mirrors who took advantage of a terrible weak PAC1O for years. He got exposed when he was in the NFL and then when he goes back to college they realized what a fraud this guy was. Chip was right place right time at Oregon type situation.

Yippee. That was an awful game by two poorly coached teams. Freeman now definitely has me worried. He almost saw his team blow it again there twice at the end. They have major discipline and execution challenges and his lack of experience makes it worrisome that he knows how to pull a team out of that kind of tailspin.

Holy ****.......xfinity is finally carrying the ACCN here in Florida....settled on end of the WF vs LU game...my pops is smiling down bigly at WF's recent success.

UF finally getting back on track. Napier needs to take the training wheels off the offense and just let ARich15 free reign

Well, everyone was tired of the single digit losses. The curse is broken! :confetti:

Had a great time with Sooner fans Friday night and after the game. Unfortunately there was technically a game in between.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen that before.

Now that everything is in the open, what constitutes illegal recruiting these days?
