***official*** all things Microsoft Xbox One (1 Viewer)

You may not consider it, but guess what? It is.
Not everything is black and white, especially concerning digital property.
As I said, if there is no legitimate way to give the publishers money for their product (they do not get anything from used game sales), then it is not.

Is looking at a picture of the Mona Lisa online or putting it up as your background on your PC considered stealing from Leonardo Da Vinci? (not a perfect example, but close enough for Gov't work).
you do realize the legal emulation on things like XBox Live Arcade and Wii Virtual Console mess that argument up a ton, right?

(and I have probably 25 NES and 100 SNES games with emulators myself)

Two free game downloads per month for XBL members up through launch. Including Assassin's Creed 2 and Halo 3.

Don't care at all about this tank game, but the announcement of two free last-gen games per month for Live Gold members was cool.

Ryse is the first next gen game on display!

Distinguishing between CGI renderings and gameplay is going to be important today.

Edit: this is all gameplay, sweet.

This looks cool, but it's almost too cinematic. Like every fight leads to quicktime events that give you unique kill moves that look awesome, but it doesn't feel very organic. More like you're moving through a movie and triggering the cool looking events.

Edit: Talking about Ryse.

Sunset Overdrive?

The concept description sounds interesting, but they only showed a trailer, no gameplay.

This Forza "Drivatar" thing is pretty impressive if it really learns this well, though.

Edit: because of it's implications in other genres, in my opinion. But for racing fans it's probably really cool.

It looked to me like it was similar to the way GoW does it, where once you stagger an enemy you can enter a cinematic/QTE "finishing move" by hitting B.

"to give the gift of games to everyone"And then make a console exclusive game?

"share it with everyone anywhere... as long as they have a compatible device!"

This world building thing they're showing makes me feel like I'm building a map in Warcraft 3, the RTS game.

Sweet interface though. Looks cool.

Still don't know whether project spark is the actual game, or a developer tool?

Okay, it's the actual game, this is what I would want a creative Minecraft type game to look like at least. Very cool possibilities.

Both. You are the developer.

So we can set up multiplayer lobbies on a tablet/phone and wait for people to join while we're doing other stuff on the console? That sounds cool. No more sitting around in lobbies for 10 minutes waiting for everyone to join.

So we can record, which is cool, but it would be doubly sweet for leagues, etc if people could observe games live.

ETA: ask and you shall receive. Nice.

Yeah, how dare a console maker show exclusive games at their conference.
I'm laughing at the way they said it. I understand why. It just sounds silly when taken at face value.

if you really want to give games to EVERYONE, why are you making games one console specific? (I'd ask the same thing to any other developer who said that)
