benching him for antonio, odb and hill. ?
With Julio on a bye I have the same desicion. I'm a big Ramsey guy, so I just put Gordon in.Been debating Jeffery or J. Gordon this week with Ramsey in the mix on Jeffery (although T. White on Gordon is no picnic either).
This may help Jeffery:
A.J. Bouye - DB - Jaguars
Jaguars CB A.J. Bouye (calf) is out for Week 8 against the Eagles.

Who is benching?
Hard to sit him right now.
Ramsay usually does shadow but not always. I expect him to be all over Alshon this week.Read somewhere that JAX has three injuries in the secondary. So along with Bouye, maybe two other starters out.
That's gotta be good.
Anyone know if Ramsey shadows everywhere?
Edit: Here's the news on JAX secondary injuries. Good news for Jeffery.

Great intel - thanks. Would Bouye have been covering him anyway? Getting confusing as to where WR1s are lining up these days (many are in the slot as opposed to traditional X locations), and also good to know if solid DBs tend to shadow or stick to one side.Been debating Jeffery or J. Leaning hard towards Jeffery. Wentz/Jeffery seem to be in sync and he's healthy. Plus all these DBs are out.Jeffrey is my ride or die at flex as long as he’s playing or not on a bye week.
I do kind of like Gordon this week… But his hamstring is still not 100%, and there are an awful lot of mail this to feed in New England. With Philly, Jeffrey is a target magnet. And it seems like the trust is only getting stronger and stronger week to week.

Plus as long as he’s healthy, he is an elite wide receiver. For some reason, people seem to forget just how good Alshon Jeffery can be when he’s playing at 100%. The only knock on him has been the nagging injuries that he has picked up over the years.
If I had a choice between them, I would play Jeffrey, but that sad I can’t blame you if you think Gordon has a higher upside. I feel like Gordon needs to catch a long bomb for a touchdown to truly have an elite day because grande Kowski and James white along with Julian Edelman and Chris Hogan will be sucking up lots of targets.
I did not have a stroke earlier, I swear. I was using voice to text.Leaning hard towards Jeffery. Wentz/Jeffery seem to be in sync and he's healthy. Plus all these DBs are out.
And the clincher...I'm also starting Gronkowski. Don't like too many eggs in the NE basket when it could be the Edelman/White/Barner show in the case of a blowout.
Maybe - even if he does I like Jeffey’s size advantage. Is Ramsey going to blanket this guy?
And there’s this breaking news:Leaning Jeffrey over Ingram as a flex start this week. Not enough help in the secondary to stop Jeffrey.
hate to say this but.... SWEET. Do us proud back here in 'Murica. Slaute. And there’s this breaking news:
“Jaguars SS Barry Church was one of four players arrested early Saturday morning over a bill dispute at the Reign Showclub in London.
Ronnie Harrison, DJ Hayden and Gerard Wilson were also named in the report. The players allegedly skipped out on paying a $40,000 bar tab. Charges were eventually dropped, but it's not a good look the night before a game. Church and Harrison are the only starters of the group and could face team-imposed discipline. It's a potential downgrade to Jacksonville's secondary.”
?
Well, if the starting safety is suspended that can only help Jeffery, right?hate to say this but.... SWEET. Do us proud back here in 'Murica. Slaute.
Was starting Jeffery anyhow and doubt this change things. Trump will tweet and our boys will be out of trouble.
It happens - not like any other receiver had a windfall of targets. Context seems relevant here & it is a 10-6 game.Welp. 2 targets in the first half.
Not so good.
In the past I would have concerns when teams added 2nd options, but it seems to have proven out over the years that overall it doesn't affect the player. Tate should make the offense more effective and create longer more successful drives. He should also take away some of the coverage on Jeffery. Jeffrey is one of the main targets in the endzone, so if the offense starts clicking he could add a few more TDs.No posts in here since the Eagles added Tate? Am I the only one worried a bit in here?
That’s what I said in the trade topic. Jeffery is the biggest winner of that deal. Agholor/Matthews the biggest losers. Tate is a legitimate target, and will command attention. Jeffery's coverage should get a little softer as a result.I don't think Tate hurts Jeffrey - think he helps if anything. Should sustain more drives, more opportunities, and draw more attention. Probably hurts Ertz a tad (but he's still a good choice), and hurt Agholar the most.
I wouldn't worry about Wentz since he clearly is the biggest beneficiary with addition of Tate. He def will help Wentz on moving offensive and be productive on the field.BobbyLayne said:I’m definitely not feeling great owning Jeffrey, Tate, & Wentz. Trade deadline is Friday in our league.
Wonder where Tate fits into the pecking order:I wouldn't worry about Wentz since he clearly is the biggest beneficiary with addition of Tate. He def will help Wentz on moving offensive and be productive on the field.
It depends on where Eagles' offensive team is on the field For red-zone package, Ertz is obvious first read for Wentz with Jeffery and Goedert as 2nd and 3rd. As for other packages, Tate might be 3rd, ranking higher over Agholor who I think Eagles will use as vertical stretcher from this point forward.Wonder where Tate fits into the pecking order:
1. Ertz
2. Jeffrey
3. Agholor
4. Smallwood
5 Goedert
6. Clement
7. Matthews
Hence my concern (not Wentz)

Jones didn’t shadow on MNF. Don’t know if Corey Davis wasn’t considered worthy or if that’s his norm.Who is rolling the dice with Alshon this week?
Normally is every week plug and play for me as I don't want to miss out on the upside he's flashed through 3 games since he's been back (20 FPS or more in PPR against TEN, NYG, CAR), and he has had a steady if not spectacular floor in his other 2 games (5-6 FPS against MIN and JAX).
With Tate likely starting in the slot, anyone leery of playing him to see how target distribution pans out?
DAL also has some solid corners -- does anyone know who Byron Jones will likely cover (and does he shadow or stay on one side)?
I want to get him going, but can see this potentially netting out as one of his 5-6 point games as opposed to his 20+ point games.
Thoughts?
Both Jones and Mills are out this week. Dallas will be starting 2 backup cornerbacks. Sean Lee and 2 DEs are also out. Could be a long day for the Dallas defense.Jones didn’t shadow on MNF. Don’t know if Corey Davis wasn’t considered worthy or if that’s his norm.
Do you mean Jalen Mills and Sidney Jones? Aren't they on the Eagles? So not likely to affect Alshon directly. Both Jones and Mills are out this week. Dallas will be starting 2 backup cornerbacks. Sean Lee and 2 DEs are also out. Could be a long day for the Dallas defense.
My bad,Do you mean Jalen Mills and Sidney Jones? Aren't they on the Eagles? So not likely to affect Alshon directly.![]()
I do not see Byron Jones on the latest DAL injury report, but I do see that Awuzie had a pretty full practice week so he'll definitely be out there as well.
Definitely Lee being out helps, but not sure Taco Charlton or David Irving (a DL as opposed to a DE) being out are huge blows to DAL's D. Looks like Randy Gregory, their other DE, will play.

The DAL D overall didn't look good at all. Seems like every time S. Lee is out it all falls apart. Guy must be the lynchpin.Who is rolling the dice with Alshon this week?

Jones played 454 out of 513 snaps at RCB. Only 1 snap at LCB. Alshon plays both sides. Rest of Dallas cb are not good.Who is rolling the dice with Alshon this week?

Alshon Jeffery caught 4-of-8 targets for 48 yards in Week 10 against the Cowboys.
Jeffery wasn't much of a factor in this one. This could have been a worse game, but Jeffery got half of his yards on a 17-yard catch late in the fourth quarter. His only red-zone opportunity was a dropped touchdown after a hard hit in the end-zone. Jeffery is trending down after getting held to 35 yards last week. He's in a rebound spot against the Saints in Week 11.

I don’t think that Jones follows wrs all over. Alshon was one misread (Wentz’s fault IMO) from having a 5/56/1 night last night. Last year he put 5/85/2 on the Vikes/Rhodes in the playoffs. He also lit up Talib/Denver in another matchup vs an elite corner so I wouldn’t say he always gets shut down in difficult on paper matchups. What I don't like is that whenver he has a tough CB matchup (i.e. Jones last night or X. Rhodes) and he's predicted to have a down day, he does.
Other elite WRs, whether because of scheme or other, seem to make it happen.
All night last night I kept seeing Jeffery WAY outside and Jones or other locked up on him and Wentz really didn't look his way. There was no doubt that he wasn't the first read (and I guess for good reason).
I'd hope that changes A LOT against the NO secondary this week.
Actually, for me this kind of predictability is desired. Yes, I'd like Alshon to get 10+ points as a floor no matter who he is matched up against, but if it is true a WR consistently underperforms against top CBs, it just makes it easier to know when to slot someone else in there instead for those match ups. What I don't like is that whenver he has a tough CB matchup (i.e. Jones last night or X. Rhodes) and he's predicted to have a down day, he does.
