I hope he is healthy. Next four are really nice. @Dal, Det, @Ind, Jac. I'm not worried about Hoyer.
Said every Jefferey owner, just about every week last year.Buck Bradcanon said:I hope he is healthy. Next four are really nice. @Dal, Det, @Ind, Jac. I'm not worried about Hoyer.
And so it begins....knee injury, DNP - welcome to hell, Jeffery owners....
Last year he was listed as probable many of the weeks he didn't play. The NFL got rid of that designation, so at least he's only questionable for the next 2 months.
This dude was the bane of my existence last year.
I vowed that I would not draft him in any league this year - not because he got hurt. Players get hurt. More because of the way Fox tries to be coy and F's with everyone about the playing status and injury. He played pretty fast and loose with the injury report every week, he never, ever gave an accurate update, and IIRC, Jefferey's hammy injury was referred to as "mild" or "minor" all preseason - this went into the regular season, and became a running joke.
Any more cheerios you'd like to take a piss in?Said every Jefferey owner, just about every week last year.![]()
Nah - I just suffered through it every week in 2 leagues. It left a mark.Any more cheerios you'd like to take a piss in?
This is an ignorant postOwned him last year and he cost me a lot of cash. Dude is gutless in my mind. Only got healthy when his contract came up. Back to jaking it.
Dysfunctional offense. Alshon is unable to be covered if the qb has any time to throw, which they never doWhat's with his targets in the second half? He's looked great and had almost 100 yards in both 1st halves, then goes radio silent.
Also they're loving their Eddie Royal screens, so those eat up snaps as well.Dysfunctional offense. Alshon is unable to be covered if the qb has any time to throw, which they never do
Bombs to Alshon and Royal screens are the only thing that have worked and those were more great individual plays. I don't credit Loggains for thatAlso they're loving their Eddie Royal screens, so those eat up snaps as well.

Bears' WR Alshon Jeffery, listed as questionable with knee injury, is expected to play tonight vs Dallas, per... http://es.pn/2d0tpZ1
And shockingly, Rashad Jennings.Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 40m40 minutes ago
To recap: OUT: Jamaal Charles, Sammy Watkins.
EXPECTED IN: Alshon Jeffery, Brandon Marshall, Julio Jones.
It's the offense.Alshon looked pretty hobbled on a bad knee towards the end of the game, but he still aggressively grabbed any targets thrown his way. Maybe he needs to be shut down for a few weeks? CHI bye not until week 9.
This week it could also be Brian Hoyer's understanding of the offense (and ability to carry it out)It's the offense.
I'm not sure I'd read too much in to this weeks game. Jeffery was clearly hobbled. If he's hobbled and not getting open Hoyer's looking elsewhere. We just need a healthy Alshon.Hoyer going through his progressions..
Is Kevin White open? Throw it to him.
Is Kevin White kind of open? Throw it to him.
Is Kevin White covered? Throw it to Zach Miller.
I've been targeting him for trade in every league I don't own him. He's a great buy low candidate. How concerned are you guys in redraft? Alshon was an absolute target vacuum last year and he is not getting the looks this year. No TDs yet on the year. Kevin White is now set to miss several weeks with an ankle injury. Great matchup in Indy this week but my expectations have dropped considerably from draft time to now. Thoughts?
Hoping he blows up this week so I can sell him. No one wants to pay WR2 price for him with right now since he's been trending downward. How concerned are you guys in redraft? NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Bears players expect Kevin White (ankle) to miss an "extended period of time."
White's 34 targets is top-15 among receivers after four weeks, but he's turned them into just 19 catches for 187 scoreless yards. He had appeared to be making some progress with Brian Hoyer under center, but White will head back to the trainer's table where he spent his entire rookie season. In his absence, the Bears will hopefully get Alshon Jeffery (25 targets) more involved. Cameron Meredith will be the No. 3 receiver behind Jeffery and Eddie Royal.
Alshon Jeffery is averaging just 6.25 targets per game this season.
Across his previous three seasons, Jeffery averaged 9.46 targets per contest, so he's definitely seen a reduction in his workload. Beat writer Brad Biggs cites Jeffery's health as a factor, saying the receiver hasn't been close to 100 percent the past two weeks. But with Kevin White (ankle) now out an "extended period of time," the Bears should look Jeffery's way more on the outside.
I have only watched 2 Bears games but this fits what I have seen as well.FWIW, earlier this week Rich Hribar mentioned on twitter that Hoyer has a really strong propensity to throw to the right side of the field, I believe only Carr was favoring that side more. Not sure where to find the exact numbers but apparently White strongly prefers playing on the right side. Maybe Jeffrey gets to play on that side more going forward? Believe Hoyer was something like 46% right vs 22% left.
I wouldn't worry too much. A great WR (which he is) will get his regardless. The biggest loss is Cutler as a QB. Cutler just throws the ball and doesn't GAF about turnovers. He also has a trend of having tunnel vision for his #1 WR.How concerned are you guys in redraft? Alshon was an absolute target vacuum last year and he is not getting the looks this year. The thing is, I don't think Cutler gets this job back from Hoyer.Kenny Powers said:Finally caught a deep ball, must have been wide open hah...Please get healthy Jay, I have diabeetus meds to help if you need them
That was pretty much consistent in the entire game. Hoyer almost never looked in Jeffery's direction.Just saw the highlights on NFL network. Apparently Jeffery was WIDE open in the end zone on the last play of the game, and Hoyer didn't even give him a look. They showed Jeffery flipping out on the sideline, slamming his helmet. Perhaps there are going to be some changes this week. Hoyer didn't even look at him on several 3rd and long situations where he was open.
This is exactly why he isn't a starter. Has a top 15 WR (when healthy) in the league and he doesn't even know what he has. That was pretty much consistent in the entire game. Hoyer almost never looked in Jeffery's direction.
Every game has been like that. That was pretty much consistent in the entire game. Hoyer almost never looked in Jeffery's direction.

Yup and when he did it was almost always a success. They have to make it a point to get Alshon more involved going forward. This is ridiculous. That was pretty much consistent in the entire game. Hoyer almost never looked in Jeffery's direction.
