He's had absolutely brutal matchups to start the season. Worst of any WR1.Is it too early to laugh at the 90-1250-12 projection? Even my 130-75/1125/6 is looking a bit too optimistic. He's currently on pace for 122-64/787/6... I did mention the likelihood that his career YPR would dip but didn't actually ding him for it. Seems that was a mistake. However, given the lower YPR, I'm assuming his average depth of target has decreased, so his catch rate should go up (currently it is at 53%, down from 57% career), so Alshon owners in PPR should hold out some hope for improvement in receptions per game. The best news for owners has to be that he's played 5 games without appearing on the injury report. I still think he's got WR2 upside here. 122 targets in a good offense is nothing to shake a stick at...
As an owner, please don't acquire him. TiaYeah, he might be a good buy low. But I just feel like the week I trade for him would be the week he'd pull a hammy.
I recall Marvin Jones had a pretty rough slate, too. He's had absolutely brutal matchups to start the season. Worst of any WR1.
There was one last night where he was interfered with but Wentz dropped it right in his hands. He didn't hang on. It was a 3rd and long and would have gone for 30+ yards. He needs to come down with that. The targets were there, so close to a big game, very disappointing.
Even if Norman comes back you would think he'd still have some recovery time to go and might not be able to strech out as well as he might need to against Alshon.
Rest up the next 10 big fella, you know you're playing for big $, need you to make a few of those catches.

The DB had his left arm pinned. Hard to expect him to catch those. There was one last night where he was interfered with but Wentz dropped it right in his hands. He didn't hang on. It was a 3rd and long and would have gone for 30+ yards. He needs to come down with that.
That's what stud WRs do. It was right in his hand. The DB had his left arm pinned. Hard to expect him to catch those.
If he was expecting to make a one hand catch i'm betting he could have a chance.. he was trying to catch it over his shoulder with two hands and had his left arm pulled down last second. That's what stud WRs do. It was right in his hand.

So basically Ian Rappaport is the worst and should never be trusted.

Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) worked off to the side at Monday's practice.
Jeffery was seen wearing a helmet for the first time this summer, though he still remains on the active/PUP list. Alshon is about six months removed from surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff. It's still anyone's guess whether the 28-year-old will be able to go against the Falcons in Week 1. The uncertainty surrounding him makes Jeffery a tough sell as a WR2 in fantasy.

Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself while looking for confirmation. Yes, if he is healthy, you win. If he is not, huge risk. But in round 8, the damage isn't quite so bad IMO.He's dropping like a rock in drafts. He must have dropped three rounds in the last three weeks.
I have the option to take him at 8.11 in a PPR right now and thinking pretty hard about it.
If he really is OK and doesn't land on PUP that's a great price for a WR1 on a high scoring offense.
welp...ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) will miss "at least" the first two games of the season.
However, Schefter reports Jeffery is expected to be activated off the PUP list this weekend, meaning the Eagles are confident he will not miss six games. Per Schefter, Jeffery "could" return by Week 3. Jeffery will miss games against the Falcons and Bucs. The Eagles host the Colts in Week 3. In Jeffery's absence, the Eagles will have a hodgepodge at receiver led by Nelson Agholor. Mike Wallace and second-year pro Mack Hollins will try to do work down the field. Jeffery is currently being drafted as the WR27 in PPR leagues. That's probably rich for a player who finished as the WR21 last season despite appearing in all 16 games.
Took him at 9.07, WR 42. Couldn't pass on that. He's not being drafted at WR27 in any competent leagues.
Jeffrey dropped all the way to WR43 in my $500 slow draft and I finally took him at the 9.02. I think at that price he's more than worth the potential upside as the WR1 on an explosive offense. Seems like a very positive note they are activating him off PUP. You don't waste a roster spot for injured people for two weeks unless you're expecting them to be a major contributor when they are ready.
I will still easily draft him anywhere after WR36 (which basically means he's just a bench stash). Fantasy is about risk/reward and there's little risk at that stage of drafts.
Okay, I can see him at that price but I need to check my draft board first.Took him at 9.07, WR 42. Couldn't pass on that.

I think Tyler Boyd was still available, and Justin Hunter.Chaka said:Okay, I can see him at that price but I need to check my draft board first.
Fire up your Agholors
Better than your team's number 1.Alligator Arms Agholor is unlikely to fare well as a team's WR1.
I thought he played well last year....shrug.....ertz moving up my boardAlligator Arms Agholor is unlikely to fare well as a team's WR1.
As a role player. I just don't think he's good enough to win against another team's CB1. He's fine as a low volume slot receiver. I'd still rather have someone tougher over the middle as my slot receiver, but he did well in space last year.I thought he played well last year....shrug.....ertz moving up my board
Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) is "week to week."
Pederson bristled a bit at a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter that Jeffery would miss "at least" the first two games of the season, but that seems like exactly what will happen. The Eagles kept Jeffery on the active roster, suggesting he will be back before Week 7, but his timetable is uncertain beyond that. Nelson Agholor and Mike Wallace will serve as the top-two receivers while Jeffery is sidelined.

I can't speak for everyone but Wallace was clearly outplayed by rookie Stefon Diggs and he hasn't done much since then.So everyone just assumes Mike Wallace is done? I thought he still looked good last year, Balto was just a dumpster fire. Saw a great analysis of how most WRs who are still playing their early 30s end up placing in the top 24 and 36. Kind of makes sense as the fact they are still playing at that age implies they are talented.
Alshon Jeffery - WR - Eagles
Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) told MMQB's Jenny Vrentas that he's still a "few weeks" away from returning.
Coach Doug Pederson has continued to say Jeffery is week to week, but a return doesn't appear to be relatively close. We may be looking at October. "Some days I feel great, and some days ... a shoulder injury is pretty tough," Jeffery said. "I really can’t wait to get back out there. You’ll definitely see a difference. I gotta take it to another level." Jeffery owners need to sit tight.

Meh. I expect similar fantasy output from each of them (more catches for Crabtree, more yards for Alshon, similar TDs) and Crabtree is healthy. I'd stick with Crabtree.Anything?
He is sitting on the waiver wire in a league of mine. Would u dump Crabtree for him?
No room for both?Anything?
