Angels the right side AGAIN tonight versus the Yanks. These lines are so off because the big money Yanks are so overvalued. Lackey and Pettite are about even to me - gun to my head I take Lackey. Angels at home are unreal, Yanks on the road aren't above .500. Bullpens aren't all that close, Angels in a landslide. Hitting I side with NYY obviously, but the Angels aren't too far behind. To sum it up - best home team vs mediocre road team and I'm getting the home dog? Kidding right?Even if I lose on the Angels, I'll be so far ahead thanks to this series. Reminds me of the Yanks/Detroit playoff series last year. Bonderman +130 at home in game 4 vs Jaret Wright. You nuts?
Well of course, value-wise, that's not really news -- all of it practically a given with the Yankees every night. But they do win some games (more than any other team since the break). And since I've got them at even money, I don't pay the price on a loss. Not sure I'd call the pitching matchup even, not right now anyway. Pettitte is a monster late season pitcher who's proving it again, giving up 7 earned runs for the entire month, in 28 innings. Meanwhile, and I watch him a lot, Lackey has just not been sharp, giving up 30 hits in his last 18.2 innings (3 starts) with an ERA of 5.3. Those aren't Lackey numbers. As you said, the bats of course are with NY (hit Righties even better, if it matters). And it doesn't hurt that they got embarrassed last night to boot. Look, I love to fade the Yankees as much as anyone. HATE that team, and love value. But this is one of those rare instances where I'm not giving up a penny to back them in a good situation.Good luck.
I think Yanks win tonight, I've heard too many people counting this one to the Angels already. When that starts happening, its bound to go the other way.

Oh man, what a mess in that Texas game. Every single run was earned, so that pretty much effed up a bunch of ERAs. A Texas pitcher even managed to earn a Save. Unbelievable. :goodposting:

This was a good game to be at that sportsbook that someone mentioned where if you get totally lambasted (ie you had the under in this game), you get your wager refunded. lol

Me = wrongYou = rightI was 7-2 last night with everything and the Angels were my smallest bet. Lost with the Phils too, but won with Texas x2, STL (big), Cubs/Over.

LOL, :bag: So, your smallest bet (now you tell us) but your biggest writeup. :bag: Yeah, you sure sounded lukewarm about it:

You come back but the tone remains the same. I keep giving you passes because I figure you'll mature one day, but you just never do. :bye:

I made it a writeup because you had a mini-writeup about the game. I never once mentioned BIG bet or anything like that on the Angels last night. They were a normal bet for me. I bet the Angels in every game in the series and made money- they lost last night, no big deal. I'd play them again if I could. I come in and tell you I was wrong and you were right and that's not enough? :boxing:

Are you trying to say that your write-up did not indicate a very STRONG preference to the Angels in this spot? As you know, I dont bet Baseball (anymore) so I really dont care but you seemed to be pimping the Angels pretty hard here. To come back and say they were your smallest bet seems disengenuous and very Marshall-like.

I obviously had a strong Angels bias the entire series. I like to fade the Yanks in these situations against good teams, I rarely back them.

Here is the weight of each of my Angel bets this series:

Game 1 - 1.5 units

Game 2 - 1.75 units

Game 3 - 1 unit

I loved the Angels this series, but didn't go overboard betting them. I only played 9 games last night and every bet but one (Phils) was just as big if not bigger than my Angels bet. I forgot I bet the Phils a bit light. If anything Sonny likely swayed me a bit last night and I bet the Angels lighter than I maybe would have. I do respect him a tad...

When you have 1 team/Under do you mean under for the game or just 1 teams runs?

The actual game Under. For instance I bet Cincy and I also bet Over 10 in that game.
gotchaI use betjamaica and they dont offer individual team over/unders but I know some books do.

Pitt +145: We all know about Wandy's splits at home and away. Well last time at home he was rocked. I look for the trend of the law of averages catching up with Wandy continuing today

SD/Phil O11 -115: Neither starter inspires any fear. This is a hitters park. I see a lot of runs today.

ATL/STL O 10 -120: Neither starter inspires any fear. In fact, jo-Jo is pretty bad. This is a hitters park. I see a lot of runs today.

Bos/CWS U 9.5 +100: I think as long as Julian Tavaerz does not get shelled, Javier will keep up his end of the under.

1-3; Terrible. just terrible. If Pitt could have hung on to win I would feel ALOT better about the day, or if Javier did not mean gascan in Spanish that would help too.... or if there was not an error in the top of the 9th in the Bos/Cws game either :goodposting: :lmao:

Minn +124; Silva has pitched lights out, Cleveland struggling to get anything going offensively;

Sea +106: Seattle is very tough at home; besides, when i hear a tout has made this his GOY, I am going the other way

Based on the amount of traffic over there - I posted a trend supporting Cincy tonight in Preseason football, but the public seems to be all over Cincy so I am just staying away until the bullets start firing for real - I have already lost enough on nonsense football that neither team SEEMS to care about........

Likely a breakeven start to the night. Had a lot of Atlanta Under. Big fan of the Nats fading the steam, almost +200 for this team. Also like Over 7' in that game, but the vig is a lot now. I'm big on Toronto/Over 8 +105 as well. GL.

I hit my one game yesterday but lost my parlay. I did not get a chance to post my second game of the day which was Az -144. I felt really confident with that bet and I put two units on it. I have always tried not to bet the high juice unless I put it in a parlay. Last night reminds me why.

I may be chasing with this next play but I feel good about it and I put 4 units on it.
