3 weeks apart, 4 weeks apart, this decision was made in the middle of a pandemic. It gave robust protection, but there was no time to study long term effects. In endemic times, it may be better to give the first 2 doses 6 months apart, another a year later and boom, you're good for 10 years.

However, there is absolutely nothing that says we need another booster 6 months from now, at this point. Do you know why? Because we're building the ####### parachute as we fall have fallen off the cliff. There are no studies to say we do, or we don't. It's fun to speculate the periodic increment that we may be willing to take a vaccine, but until there is scientific evidence to say a future dosing pattern will be needed, it's just a bunch of ####### karen's complaining.

Well only because we have built up immunity since 1918. 
 

Eta:  When I said required, I really just was meaning that the annual vaccine is necessary because of mutations rendering the prior year ineffective largely. This is misleading. Merriam-Webster has revised its entry for the word “vaccine” as part of its continual revision of entries, but it did not remove references to immunity. Rather, it changed the phrase “increase immunity” to say, “stimulate the body’s immune response.” The current entry better captures how mRNA-based vaccines work compared with traditional vaccines.

If the numbers are over 2500 the test just says “>2500” but i don’t know how high the number actually gets.  As stated though no one knows the impact of these numbers and they only really go by positive or negative.

I always have a mask around my neck, for when I am the public spaces at my work, I have to wear it (only about 10% of my day tops). So in general, I lean towards not wanting to wear the thing, but there is a peer pressure thing for sure when I roam through the skyways. I see old frail people faithfully wearing their masks, as well as high school aged youngens, and it makes me think twice about not wearing my mask. So I tend to wear it

I have rarely wore a mask since April or whenever the mandates were dropped last spring. But you're right, mask usage has been creeping up and send like it's now the majority in the metro.
