Five Battlefield Games in the Works

DICE continue to plough the battlefield.

UK, June 24, 2008 - DICE's Battlefield franchise looks to expand, with an executive producer for the Swedish developer revealing that a further five titles in the series are currently in development.

Speaking at the Paris GDC, Ben Cousens stated that, "Since the start of this year I've been working as executive producer for the entire Battlefield franchise - we've got five titles in development at the moment, which is probably more than you expect."

Successful both critically and commercially, the most recent entry in the series is the console exclusive Bad Company, which takes Battlefield into previously uncharted single player territory and has so far been met with warm reviews. Battlefield Heroes – a free to play game for PC – is set to release this summer.

Gamesindustry.biz reports that of the forthcoming games, one will be a console based effort while another will be developed with South Korean company Neowiz and is aimed at the Korean market, and a third is likely to come in the shape of the heavily rumoured Battlefield 3.

I'm sure I'll need a crapload of patches and what not.Can someone help a brotha out and save me from having to search the last 140+ pages for everything I need to update my BF2/BF2142.Oh, and I'll need the TS info too!TIA.

Just started playing again, I really forgot how great this game was... BF2142 was a huge disappointment after this great game. Have to say though, starting a new 'character' really sucks losing the 2nd Sniper unlock and especially the 2nd Med. unlock.

You can buy copies on eBay for like $5 shipped. Might be worth the effort. I recently bought 3 new copies so for my office LAN parties we can all (let's face it, I really only care that I) have our unlocks. Nothing like them having thecrappy defaults and I have the M95 sniper of G36E assault.

Corp actually enjoyed Wake last night. Pretty sure we set a world record as USMC, too. Took the whole map in about 3 minutes, final score 313-0. Freaking awesome.

You can actually use your account from any install out there - it can retrieve it. The CD has nothing to do with it. HEck the CD key is not even tied to your account.
