 to the Turk for making sure Tomlinson had the LT2 abbreviation :bag:

Based on my own results I may as well have been patriotic and taken Quinton Ganther. :lmao:

Hey I might have missed it but - do we know about where the cutoff is this week?I suppose I can justwait until tomorrow to see if I got booted....
Scores are cumulative through the entire playoffs. That's why us folks with TB and BF aren't too concerned yet. Still a lot of games to play.

I was excited to have moved up about 5000 places this week to the low 1000s, until I noticed about 500 people ahead of me have the same lineup going forward - TB, RG, LT2, PB.

Great idea. Lots of fun. Good luck to those still in the running.

If I get some time today, I'll try to calculate how many people are actually still alive for the #1 slot. I'll bet it's not more than a hundred.

Just a suggestion, but this contest would be much more interesting if the one player per team requirment was eliminated. There would many more ways to win. As it stands now picking the defense which performs the best in the first round might be the most important factor. 50% of the top 20 and top 40 have Jax D (the general population had 27.5%). I would suspect that the top 40 pretty much has a majority of the other teams already eliminated.

I don't recall the formula, but it's the combination of lineups from the following....RG Ryan Grant RB GB | 40.70 31.2BF Brett Favre QB GB | 20.65 28.5GJ Greg Jennings WR GB | 25.10 27.2DD Donald Driver WR GB | 4.80 6.3MC3 Mason Crosby PK GB | 6.00 2.7GNB Green Bay Packers TD GB | 4.00 2.4DL Donald Lee TE GB | 3.60 1.3BF3 Bubba Franks TE GB | 1.70 0.2TB Tom Brady QB NE | 25.20 72.0RM2 Randy Moss WR NE | 2.40 24.3WW Wes Welker WR NE | 21.70 2.3LM Laurence Maroney RB NE | 24.20 0.6NWE New England Patriots TD NE | 5.00 0.5SG Stephen Gostkowski PK NE | 7.00 0.2BW Ben Watson TE NE | 15.20 0.1PB Plaxico Burress WR NYG | 9.30 70.9BJ2 Brandon Jacobs RB NYG | 31.90 17.0NYG New York Giants TD NYG | 11.00 5.5KB Kevin Boss TE NYG | 6.30 2.1LT3 Lawrence Tynes PK NYG | 9.00 1.7EM Eli Manning QB NYG | 33.60 1.2JS2 Jeremy Shockey TE NYG | 0.00 0.8AT2 Amani Toomer WR NYG | 44.40 0.5SS Steve Smith WR NYG | 14.70 0.2TB Tom Brady QB NE | 25.20 72.0RM2 Randy Moss WR NE | 2.40 24.3WW Wes Welker WR NE | 21.70 2.3LM Laurence Maroney RB NE | 24.20 0.6NWE New England Patriots TD NE | 5.00 0.5SG Stephen Gostkowski PK NE | 7.00 0.2BW Ben Watson TE NE | 15.20 0.1

this is just my opinion but i think the one player per team requirement is the most interesting part. it sorta makes this contest standout from other ones.

Interesting challenge..first time playing...winner had Burress and Welker...who woud have guessed. Anway, I was curious what the best lineup would have been and it ended up as:

Peyton Manning

David Garrard

Ryan Grant

Ernest Graham

Marion Barber

Wes Welker

Amani Toomer

Vincent Jackson

Antwaan Randle El

Heath Miller

Rob Bironas

Seattle TD

Would have been worth 417.4 points...suprisingly higher than the winning total of 351.45....but hey, who's taking Toomer or Vincent Jackson normally!!! Interesting that the winner only had 6 of the 12.....6 was also the highest any team had.

Also to note..there were 6,083 different player combinations entered...5,160 combos were unique! The most of any 1 combo was only 35.
