***OFFICIAL 'Fear The Walking Dead' Thread*** (1 Viewer)

Watched S1 of this show, was highly disappointed when it skipped ahead so much instead of showing us the beginning of everything and the breakdown of society, said I'd give it 1 episode this season to see if it would somehow get back on track, bailed after it sucked, came back into this thread just now to see what people were saying about it, patted myself on the back.

Gotta say this season is much better than the first so far.
I find it quite the opposite. All the potential of season one has been thrown into the garbage can. What we have been left with is a story that has gone no where (except being at sea and heading to Baja to hook up with Strands lover).

I have kept watching with the hope they will dock and head into the zombie wasteland the world is becoming. I understand trying to escape it.....but it is making for some bad TV. The story has been a train wreck and the character development has been non existent. I have no care for any of them.

TWD the thing you grabbed onto and what kept me watching is the great characters. I see no one here to grab onto. I am coming close to giving up on the show. One more week to try and find something to hold onto....if not...done.

Wish I had followed your lead.

I was very impressed by the wife letting her hands tied husband battle it out and not drawing her gun. Such restraint in a dire time is to be admired.

That and also the mexican dude keeps referring to only having enough money for 2 people.  I wonder when its going to dawn on him that currency pretty much has no place in this new world?

One more thing, so Strand almost freezes to death in a short time but Druggie Depp has no problem swimming to shore.  The plot holes in this show are pretty bad.

Yeah, the show, which wasn't amazing last year is now worse. I found myself not even caring what the whole Connor bit was about and why the daughter was supposed to look at ships on the radar and randomly pick which one they should raid or throw rotten vegetables at or whatever the hell it was that they were planning to do.

One more asinine episode and I may say, "#### it. I'm done."

Girl from the raft said that they ran out of water and both were dehydrated. Looks like it was a 3-5 gallon jug of water they were given by the boat people. The timeline seems off. That all that could happen and they still haven't gotten to Mexico yet. Is it really that far or take that long to travel by boat?

Also, the burned up kid was dying, she said she knew it. Why waste her water on him? save the water & end his agony. She showed on the plane that she's pragmatist. She feels obligated to him because she got a seat on the plane and his mom didn't? By doing that, the mom probably has a better shot at living. She did him a favor.

How do you know that money is the currency they need to bring?

Alicia don't go with your family, they abandoned Alex (some stranger they didn't know) so they will just abandon you too.  Wat?  Instead stay with me and my crew we only just hijack people and murder them all the time.

I got over the lost potential quickly in Season 1.  Now I'm on the mindless zombie entertainment train, and as that goes it's been pretty good.  We got to see what happens when zombies float, and the more traditional horror type scenes have been fun to watch this season.  I'm not looking for Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad here.  It's zombies and the post apocalyptic Bad News Bears on a boat.

I am a huge horror buff.....I love mindless zombie fun. But getting 3 minutes of that and enduring 57 minutes of pure dramatic crap....meh. I can find better zombie entertainment watching Romero flicks, The Walking Dead and other zombie flicks.

Bad News Bears on  boat? I wish the characters were half as engaging as Buttermaker and Kelly Leake.

This show is gotten bad very quickly. And again what keeps me watching TWD is the characters and their plight. This is just bad. The characters suck. The plight is day sailing to Baja.

It's bad TV. Again....one more week. Just one more. LOL.

Some us enjoy shows like this and don't want mindless zombie fun.

WTF MAN!! This show keeps appearing on my DVR and I accidentally hit play last night. I AM DEFINITELY NOT TRYING TO WATCH THIS HORRIBLE SHOW. Such B.S.
What's your point?  Link to anyone saying that.

When the Daniel told the extremely emotionally disturbed young Mexican kid to wait outside the door but NOT to engage with him I was totally surprised when the opposite happened. Shocking turn of events really.

And the whole prisoner exchange and fight was laughably bad, even for TWD universe. Henchmen #1 watches his boss get bit and does nothing so he gets bit himself? Henchmen #2 runs directly into Travis' forehead?

Yeah, seriously awful.

This thread is not helping me enjoy the show. The only person I know by name from the show is Strand.  Reuben Blades, Junkie Depp, and that kid who is the new Coral are probably the only ones worth half a damn on the show as watchable.  I think that the new Lori stands a chance to go full Shane, so she has that going for her, but for now she is just annoying too.

The red witch is so annoying.  Didn't she have a gun with her in the boat?  Did she forget it was there or forget how to use it?  She let a tied up Travis fight for his life on the dock while she went and got into the boat.

Travis and daughter are out of the boat.. bossy red is standing there arguing with Strand and his BIL friend about plans for rescue.  I wanted one of them to say "enough of this ####" and toss her ### over the side and head to Mexico.

the best part of it was when the old mexican torturer dude looked at the injured dip#### and said "i've known many scary men in my time, not one of them told you what they were going to do to you"   and then the kid shut his ####### mouth real quick

This show is pretty terrible
Pretty much.  Hanging by a string for me.

TWD = can't wait for the kids to go to bed on Sunday night and get our fix

FTWD = wife's already gone Strand and cut the rope... I watched last episode on Tuesday night and thought it was the worst yet.

What a complete mess wrapped in a missed opportunity.

I dont like to be all Tanner on any show, but that might have been the worst episode of TV I have ever watched.

This was my favorite episode in quite awhile. Mainly because none of the main characters did anything insanely stupid. And, they got rid of the whole Connor thing fairly quickly. Was really hoping that wasn't going to drag out all season. Though, despite what others thought earlier, it is still Fear The Walking Last Ship.

Again....TWD has numerous scenes that stay with you ...many many over the years ....i cant think of even 1  scene in FTWD that made me say wow ...in a good way

A weirdly realistic episode. Mexicans have an obsession with death and I could see some of what happened actually happening down there.

Chris has to be the worst character in television history.  Hate that guy and every second he is on the screen.  Madison is a close second place, though, imo.
