***OFFICIAL*** FFA Pigeon Thread (3 Viewers)

Otis is a man of principle. Always has been. It's not about the money for me.  I think through my actions here over the years I've made that pretty clear.

The only thing clear is you made a horrible offer to everyone on these boards, which is bad enough. Then when called out on the horrible offer you tried to shame people into the bad bet over multiple posts.  The only thing your actions have said in this post is " Hi, I am a scumbag "

Man, as good as Cappy's election thread was, this has to be the frontrunner right now for Thread of the Year.
That thread is like the sopranos. The first 75% was amazing and the conclusion is a bunch of old fat guys arguing over which side of the street to stand on.

Offered folks a chance to make some money. They turned it down. They didn't get the money. We're all grown ups here. Why so upset?

Smoo paid what he owed, after a delay (not sure how long it was). Kind of lame that his name has been co-opted this way.
Smoo admitted he took cash that was to be used for payouts and spent it on some personal expenses.  it did take a while for him to get that rectified, but he did own up to it and make it right.

Since then, we've seen some truly deplorable behavior around here with respect to bets. Dr. Gobbler is probably at the top of the list.  That guy flaunted the fact that he was never going to pay.

I still like to say "Smooing the cash," mostly because it's fun.

Not upset at all. Just find it funny you are trying to ride your high horse and go after others after how you started this thread.

Stop this. Otis is an awesome guy. If you don't know, start a poll. We're allowed to have a little fun here even if it blows up in our faces. That's what she said.

By the way, I just want to point out I was STILL offering even money on Hillary around 10pm on election night after the tide was already turning.  Got zero action. Some folks just don't like my loot.

Bieber Clieber did you say something? I didn't see it.

Maybe get BadHairpiece or BayWatch to bump it, although it won't really help you, as they are on ignore too.
BayWatch!  Hahahahahahaha!  So smart!  Was there a marathon on some channel today?  Did your mom make meatloaf?

Kinda hard to prove a negative. Why don't you or someone else link up a bigger one if it exists.

That or stop trying to piss on a historic moment.
he already mentioned that brucezoned stiffed people out of $20k.

the unlucky stuff was crazy too.

I don't know how much DetroitFan365 owed the ncaa pool guys last year, but I thought it was more than this.

I think there were others. This is not a small amount for sure, but it's also only been a couple days.

Trying to figure out how much you guys left on the table here, and how badly I could have been hit.  I know you could have gone elsewhere for odds and all that jazz, but that wouldn't have been Otis's money.  I'm trying to think through how much of Otis's money I woudl have bet straight up.  I probably would have gone as high as $5k all in.  Maybe higher if it involved some higher rollers like Cav and Chet, whose loot is always the tastiest.

So yeah, I dodged one here.  No way I thought this could happen.
I'm still waiting for a chance to win back my ~$1000 that you won with the horseshoe up your ###.

I thought the qualifier was non-FF-commish related situations.  obviously the unlucky situation trumps this.  I don't know the brucezoned stuff, but maybe that falls into the same bucket?

I don't think the DetroitFan365 quarters pool comes close to this, but maybe I don't understand how a quarters pool works.

you're right. different scenarios.

DF365 owed a lot less I guess.

personally, I thought these bets were too good to be true the second they were made. not sure I would have counted on receiving that money if I were you. not saying it's right, but it just seemed really dumb.

sig bets were very serious business. if only we still had sigs around here, maybe this could all have been avoided.
I don't even know how you all remember this stuff. When I read your post I had to think for 3 minutes "wait was that me?"

We've all been here too long. I was like 22 then.

you're not wrong.  I had the same thought.  asked him if he knew what he was getting into, he said yes.  I knew it was a gamble, but deemed it worth the risk.

When I made it, my thought process was simple; dude has posted here for 12 years consistently - has he spent the last 12 years trying to con me or another stranger out of $100? I decided no, that would be too sad and pathetic, who would do that?

It's starting to look like we found out who.

It just hit me, we could be overreacting.  He could also be busy by being one of these guys marching and chanting "Not My President!" on television.

I think he's too busy watching guys marching and chanting "Not My President!" on his new 4K television.

He is in over his ahead.  He didn't think he could lose.  We will find out what kind of person he is soon.

You mean you haven't updated your "best sigs of the board" thread?

I hear what you're saying.  I know from prior posts you've done your share of gambling, as have I.  I gambled more when I was younger and didn't have the money often to be doing it.  I personally never got to where I didn't pay anyone, but can see how it could happen.  In the cases I saw someone who was in over their head, they went to the person owed and told them when they'd be getting it, or at least getting some of it and when to expect the rest.  It's really that easy.  I had a friend do that with me after borrowing money at a casino one night.  It was more than we are talking in total here.  The guy came to my office the next Monday and explained it to me.  I wasn't thrilled, but he brought me what he had and he did pay me off eventually.  I learned a lesson about loaning money but I also respected he at least came and faced me to do what it took to fix it.  If someone is unwilling to do at least that much, like you said you will find out what kind of person they are.

The irony here is astounding. Guy spends every waking minute screaming about what dirtbags Trump and his supporters are for months on end (I'm not a supporter, just took a bet at the right price, I hate all these people - they don't give a #### about us) - unless he gets in here like right now, he's 10x scumbag he's been calling everyone else for months.

I hear you.  I got someone who owes me over 2500 that was supposed to be paid 3 months ago on a loan that was for a WSOP event.  I have been pretty pissed off because of lack of communication and no clear path to pay me off.  Hell I would be happy with any consistent payment plan.
