Guess I have to ask a stupid question - never caught Sylar sucking brains to gain powers. Is that just a theory, or was that represented in an episode? Thanks,MO
In the second episode, the frozen guy had his brain scooped out. The cop ladies were talking about that being Sylar's MO. What he does with the brains is just speculation.

That's right!! Hiro also saw Isaac with his brain scooped out as well, in the future.

Anyone care to speculate as to how far into the future that Future Hiro is from.

He seemed like a totally different person.

I'm guessing many years into the future.

Which would imply that the blast on Nov.8 has been averted. Show over. Thanks for watching.

I just assumed that was part of Peters powers. He was able to be in time warp with Hito because he was near him. Future Hito would have already known Peters powers from his future dealings with him.
I still think it's Hiro's power that stopped time and he choose to let Peter see him. Hiro wasn't anywhere near him whem the train stopped. Hiro's powers now will be more developed in the future, like all superhero's. I also think that Peter absorbing powers will be much like Rougue, where he has to touch the person. He touched Issac while saving his life and his brother while his brother was being rescued.
Why do you limit Peter's potential to grow his powers but not Hiro's? Under you logic Peter could develop his powers in a manner that would allow him to use Hiro's power without touching him just as easily as Hiro develops his, in your theory.
I'm not. I'm doubting his ability to do it so quickly. He can barely figure out what his power is, much less how to manipulate other peoples powers he may absorb.

No, it doesn't imply that.It implies that Hiro survived it, which he could easily do by teleporting out. That doesn't mean NYC survived.

Or that he wasn't in NYC at the time of the blast.
Or it happened and he transported himself somewhere else.Even if you can say, yeah it's been averted, don't you want to know HOW?Edit: Awsome timing Hulk.

I'm sure its really minor, but what if Peter SENT Hiro back to deliver a message to himself. In current time, that'd just be creepy to try to comprehend.
I was leaning towards this. How else would Hiro know exactly where Peter was and when?

Is it posible that Claire's dad is trying to track down the heroes not only to study them, but to save them from Sylar? Can we all agree that Mohinder's father is dead? Mohinder ID'd the body and sent it to be cremated. It'd be kinda lame for his father to come back later and be like, "Sike!!! :points fingers: *snick*"
He's probably dead, but he is played by a recognizable actor. In a show where a major character can travel through time, I don't think it's inconsistent to say that a character's death doesn't really mean we won't be seeing them again.
Could be for flashback purposes, as well as just going back in time sequences, like Hiro did, where the actor would be needed.

Did anyone catch that they changed actors in the picture on the back of the book. Last week it was a picture of this actor, but yesterday's episode showed this picture.

But he didn't touch his brother when he walked on air.

Good Point. Was he touching him while they were talking in the hospital? Also, Ali Larter's Character only has the tattoo when she changes personalities, right?

My tivo crapped out at the end. Was the message from Hiro to Peter "Save the Cheerleader, save the world"? Or did he tell him more? SOmeone please help me out with the last scene.

He basically just told him that he was from the future and there to help him, then it went to the credits. The "Save the cheerleader, save the world" comment was made during the teaser for next week's episode. Also, you can go here: http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full_episodes/?show=heroes and click on "Part 6" and watch the last few minutes.

I found this picture on another message board. Interesting.
Love the show. Let me in on the secret of the symbol on what appears to be Hiro's sword. Not into Japanese hiro-glyphics. (pun intended)
We don't really know what the symbol means. So far it has appeared on the following:* mysterious black dudes necklace

* Niki's shoulder, as a tatoo (although it might only show up when she is her alter-ego)

* Hiro's sword from the future

I am probably missing a few other instances.

So here's what I was thinking today:

Sylar seems to have the power to absorb others' powers. He also seems tormented at what he's doing ("Forgive me" scrawled on the walls).

Peter can absorb others' powers. He has already been pushed away by his brother and virtually tossed aside by his love. Could Peter be Sylar?

theres been tons of talk on various sites about how Sylar is really future Peter. Dont really understand that tho.

My guess is that Future Hiro is from a post apocalyptic world where the NYC explosion wasnt stopped. He goes back to set events in motion that will prevent it, and somehow Peter is the start of all this. Perhaps becuase he is the closest to Isaac at the time and because Hiro cant speak a lick of english and communicate with him.

The symbol also was in the printed out stream of "data" from the dead Dr.'s research.

If hes even dead.

It looked like future Hiro had a pony tail. Plus, he's probably not carying that sword around just cuz it looks cool. He's probably a master ninja or somthing. So I'm guessing he's from several years in the future.

It is cooler to think he travelled back in time to train with master ninjas back in the day then jumped forward again.

Yeah- I wondered about that too. Was actually looking forward to seeing the first guy... figured he'd get used either in flashbacks (with Hiro or otherwise) or that he was still alive considering he's a fairly well known character actor (and why would they just use him for his face on the back of a book?).

The question now becomes who Hiro trained with in the past? I think he did this as well but who are the trainers?Bruce Lee

Chuck Norris

Mr. Miyagi

Is the cheerleader the key or is Issac?

And one more thing, I keep thinking I've seen this cheerleader before.

Who is she?

And one more thing, is it just me or is she smokin hot? :pics:

It's fairly clear that Sylar takes the brains of heroes to absorb their powers. Seems like a good reason to find the indestructible cheerleader, no? It still leaves open the possibility that it's future Peter. We know he can use people's powers if they are close by, perhaps some ritual involving their brains give the powers to him permanently. How could future Peter move back to the past? Easy. Be in the same room as Hiro at some point.

She was a coach's daughter in 'Remember the Titans'.
She is also 17 Defenze. Wait some months at least because she is someones daughter... DOB = 21 August 1989Then = http://img183.imageshack.us/my.php?image=rtt05mh6.jpg

Now = http://img219.imageshack.us/my.php?image=h...eadshot2kj5.jpg ... but wait 10 months dude.

Lindeman had dealings with the Fly-boys father before his suicide. Most likely the Fly-boys father had some kind of powers. Lindeman knows about these powers and is offering to help the Fly-boy running for Congress most likely in exchange for political favors. We have not seen Lindeman yet but he is linked to three people (Fly-boy, Fly-boy's father, Ali Larter)

I am making a bold prediction that the Congress Fly-boy is Sylar. He is powerful, knows more than others, did not want anything to do with Mohinder but knew who he was, imo. There is some resemblance there.

Claire = Little Miss Miracle Grow = :lmao:

Niki seems to change when her son is threatened. Her alter ego mentioned "if you threaten her son again..." She did not use "I" but instead used "you" in reference to Niki. There is either a complete separation between the two or they are both becoming stronger and joining. Niki earlier in episode 4 stated she was having bad dreams... thus making the conclusion that they are joining and becoming one instead of maintaining a boundary.

Thanks for making me feel like a perv Key. I had no idea she was that young. But for what it's worth........she's still smokin hot :pics: Oh and I'll take split personality chick over the cheerleader anyways. She showed talent last night. That is if you like your chicks weird and scary.

 What the heck would they need the other heroes for then?

I thought she said "our son"

I said this in "The Nine" thread:

I think TV critics missed the boat this season - and underrated "Heroes" and overrated The Nine.

I think you may be on to something. When they showed her reflection in the elevator doors. One side stayed Ali, the other side was her alter ego and moved.

I noticed that too, but could figure out how to get the picture from this weeks episode to post.Erick Avari is listed for a few episodes this season, so I don't know what's going on with that.

Maybe I just watched too many Star Trek episodes.I do not think that future Peter is Sylar. He's too good of a person it seems.

I think its safe to say that if Peter were Sylar, future Hiro wouldn't be coming back to help him. :goodposting: I agree, plus we know that Sylar was working with the professor way before Peter ever got any powers. Seems like Sylar is a first generation special, kind of like Nathan/Peter's dad who their mom said was tormented by feeling like he was special. I think the professor worked with Sylar to help him realize his powers. Didn't Sylar say something like "you made me" on the tape that Mohinder found.I do like the theories above that Lindeman knows something about the special people, especially if he has ties to Nathan's dad. It wouldn't surprise me that since we haven't seen Lindeman, that he is Sylar.

I agree with you. We have seen Peter use powers without still being in contact with the other people, i.e. the drawing and the levitation part. I think he just needs to be near them and Hiro was on top of the train when he time traveled and I think Hiro then stopped the present time and Peter was close enough to not stop as well.
