I thought it may come and go with her alter ego.Just a couple things to add
* I knew the escalator scene looked familiar but I couldn't place it, I thought twins at first (devito/scharzenegger)
* The tattoo on Nikki's back could be like how Lana (smallville) gets the tattoo on her back, it is there and she doesn't even know it, like it appeared, wouldn't be surprised if all heroes have this tattoo and possibly do not know it
* Looks like Peter does get everyone's abilities, there is a short clip in future episodes where his eyes turn grey just like the artists.
* Should be interesting to see what happens to cheerleader from carwreck, it looks like an accident like that will require the jaws of life to get her out, even if she does manage to fully heal - so she may get caught in a pickle trying to explain how she survived unscathed and why she was driving it into a wall.
* It only makes sense that whenever the heroes use their powers for evil they get some sort of karmic payback, maybe Hiro and his buddy got theirs with the ### whooping they receive. Hiro should be knocked out from that punch so it will be interesting what the writers do to save them, maybe Nikki makes an appearance somehow(?)
Very good ep - looking forward to next week.

Well, the candidate guy flys away from him, so I don't know if thats exactly his power.Maybe he's just a more developed telepath. So the black guy from the bar can erase peoples powers? Cool.
Or the computer program that displays that symbol is Micah's father.Or the painting of that symbol is Micah's father.I still doubt that is his father. Strongly.Sundays Rule said:Future Hiro....thats awesome to know thats what he will become. Also Ali Larters tatoo seems to be the same shape as that other dudes chain further proving that he is indeed DL, Micahs father.
kryptoniteI don't think the mystery black man can take away powers. I think he can block them.
I agree hulk. And I also think that this whole story is taking place around 10 years in the future. Did you see the calendars in the background!?Or the computer program that displays that symbol is Micah's father.Or the painting of that symbol is Micah's father.I still doubt that is his father. He isn't good at cheating. At least the show didn't let him off the hook for that pretty dumb move. That was pretty weak having Hiro change the cards in a poker game. What, he didn't think the guy was going to notice?
Good. Sissy good guys are the suck. One of the biggest things I got out of last night's show is that the cheerleader (Claire?) has the cabability within herself to kill. That gives us two "good guys"...Claire and Nikki who are capable of killing.
I just can't believe that he is that dumb.He isn't good at cheating. At least the show didn't let him off the hook for that pretty dumb move. That was pretty weak having Hiro change the cards in a poker game. What, he didn't think the guy was going to notice?
SuperJohn96 said:If only to set up the point where they get to redeem themselves? Hmm...I think they will bring one of the characters down the road to becoming a villan.I am thoroughly convinced that the older brother is not evil, and definitely not Sylar. The overall arc of the show is that these are ordinary people with ordinary problems. His particular issue is self-centeredness and his desire to be successful. As his character grows, he will look past all that as he begins to embrace his role as a hero.
Now that you mention it, when Hiro said he looks different without his scar, can we reasonably assume that Hiro had never met Peter until after he had the scar?So if they are meeting anytime soon, then maybe Peter will get his scar soon?Peter: Still annoying, confirmed the Rogue connection mentioning his future vision thanx to Isaac. How soon will he be injured to get the scar?
Definitely crossed my mind that if Claire's dad is government (seems to be based on his funding, his not killing, his investigating, his knowledge of who has powers, and his comment to Matt that he wasn't part of something with initials, i.e. CIA, FBI...), that the genetic changes could have been "forced," hence the branding with that symbol. Also, did everyone notice that it seemed like Claire's dad knew that Nikki had a power too. He said to the black guy something like "just take that one." He wanted to investigate Nathan, but not Nikki yet.Did anyone notice when the cop was on the table and Horn Rimmed Glasses was walking away he was able to catch a piece of information from one of their minds. Then HRG said something like "they're coming along more quickly than expected". This would imply that all of their powers could be as result of some government experiment. HRG is just in charge of the project to monitor them.Thoughts?
I like the show a lot. But I've got a bit of a problem with last night's episode.I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if I were to rape and kill a cheerleader, dump her body in a creek, and then see her at school the next day, my friggin' head would explode. And you can bet Hayden Penattiere's sweet ### I would most definitely NOT be giving her a ride home EVER. In fact, coming withing 25 feet of her would take an extraordinary amount of courage. That being said, it was pretty awesome when she whacked him. Good work, ya little monkey.![]()

"I'm going to be a hero."Great line.Isaac: Tortured Artist take 4. The only note of interest is his desire to turn hero.
Did you notice that he was willing to sell the painting of Uluru, because he painted it sober.Plus, the nurse boy was not on heroin when he mimiced the power.Methinks he does not need the heroin to paint the future.I had a thought about the explosion. There were some references to Uluru, which was depicted as a rock monster on the comic cover. Does anyone think that the explosion was not nuclear, rather was an asteroid collision? Just thinking out loud.
This was my favorite bit. That and the fact that they appeared to be playing at the Montecino (sp?), which is the fictional casino in Las Vegas. And while Hiro's ninja get-up could have been stolen from any number of sources, I couldn't help thinking of Hiro Protagonist, the samurai wielding pizza delivery specialist from Snow Crash. It's a fun show. I'm not as in love with it as some are, but it's nice to see a big network embrace pure genre television in the Xena/Buffy tradition. These are shows that can be purely entertaining while still being every bit as "serious" as the 8th time some baby dies on ER.bigbottom said:By the way, I loved the Rain Man sequence with Hiro and his buddy coming down the escalator in the new suits.

Don't forget what Claire's dad said about Matt, that he was getting better with his powers more quickly. I would bet he doesn't need the heroin either down the road, but with the heroin now he is able to paint the future. Without the heroin, he is not yet able to see the future.By the way, I don't remember him saying he wanted to sell that painting. He probably did, but I missed what he said he was selling. I just remember him asking her to get back some of his earlier paintings that he already sold.I would assume the rock monster is important just because it was in that comic strip online. Also, don't you think that it was the rock monster/or something that size converging on Claire in his vision? It sure didn't look like the shadow of a normal sized person. She was on the steps and her own shadow was just around her and the chasing shadow dwarfed her by a good amount.Did you notice that he was willing to sell the painting of Uluru, because he painted it sober.Plus, the nurse boy was not on heroin when he mimiced the power.Methinks he does not need the heroin to paint the future.I had a thought about the explosion. There was a pile of paintings by the door that he wanted her to sell. Uluru was on top. He didn't want her to sell anything he painted while high, and she wanted to sell the ones he painted when he was high.stbugs said:Don't forget what Claire's dad said about Matt, that he was getting better with his powers more quickly. He's probably dead, but he is played by a recognizable actor. In a show where a major character can travel through time, I don't think it's inconsistent to say that a character's death doesn't really mean we won't be seeing them again. Is it posible that Claire's dad is trying to track down the heroes not only to study them, but to save them from Sylar? Can we all agree that Mohinder's father is dead? Mohinder ID'd the body and sent it to be cremated. It'd be kinda lame for his father to come back later and be like, "Sike!!!oints fingers: *snick*"

TWO HEROES TOGETHER ARE STRONGER THAN TWO HEROES APART; LEONARD ROBERTS ("BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER") JOINS THE CAST AS D.L. As H.R.G (guest star Jack Coleman) sets up a meeting for his daughter Claire (Hayden Panettiere) with her biological parents, she hopes that questions about her newfound indestructibility can be answered. Which scene was she an extra in.Kristin @ E!
Some spoilerish comments from Kristen, who was an extra this week.
Some of you will recognize her from her LOST musings.
I still think it's Hiro's power that stopped time and he choose to let Peter see him. Hiro wasn't anywhere near him whem the train stopped. Hiro's powers now will be more developed in the future, like all superhero's. I also think that Peter absorbing powers will be much like Rougue, where he has to touch the person. He touched Issac while saving his life and his brother while his brother was being rescued.I just assumed that was part of Peters powers. He was able to be in time warp with Hito because he was near him. Why do you limit Peter's potential to grow his powers but not Hiro's? Under you logic Peter could develop his powers in a manner that would allow him to use Hiro's power without touching him just as easily as Hiro develops his, in your theory.Which scene was she an extra in.Kristin @ E!

Because it was real-time Peter who hasn't had a chance to develop his powers yet, contrasted with Hiro from teh future who has had time to develop. Why do you limit Peter's potential to grow his powers but not Hiro's? Its assumed, at this point. Future Hiro (IIRC) saw dead bodies that had the tops of their heads cut off, and the brains removed.Guess I have to ask a stupid question - never caught Sylar sucking brains to gain powers. Is that just a theory, or was that represented in an episode? Thanks,MO
