***Official*** Heroes Thread (1 Viewer)

SPOILER:

11/28 - I'm pretty dang sure two Heroes actually will die within the next few episodes. And producers are even planning a third! [...] Here's a juicy morsel of exclusive scoop that you can keep in mind when you discover which Heroes bite the dust in the next few eps: One of the deceased was supposed to be on the show a while longer, but he or she ran into a few problems with his or her contract, and this particular Hero is getting killed off six episodes earlier than originally planned. The storyline of this insta-ousted character got a wee bit of a undefined , if you will, so buckle up and hold on to your couch cushions, 'cause things are whipping into fast-foward. Believe you me. [...] Here's a bit of what lies ahead: Peter won't be in jail for long; there's going to be a hostage situation—of a family, and just who is doing the holding in this sitch will surprise you; someone will be killed and someone will be sacrificed. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Considering the jump-off reference, I think Peter is out. Doesn't really make sense though cuz he seems to be too important. I will put my money on Nathan.

I watched the first six episodes on SF channel last night. Is anyone aware of if or when they might replay the remaining shows? I'd like to catch up on what I've missed.

i also watched these and was under the impression that they caught you up to date on all the episodesthey showed 6 or 7 in a row, thats almost 2 months worth of showsi am REALLY likingthis show, i missed the originals due to an error with my Tivo and was avoiding this thread as to not spoil it.the hero that i think will bite it will be Isaac, after he is done drawing the pictures about them saving the world was else is there for him?think peter will find any powers other than being able to copy whomever's powers are near to himi guess that is pretty cool in itsown regard though

FYI, I think you can just use the [ spoiler][ /spoiler] codes, without the spaces, obviously, when doing spoilers. It's easier and prohibits others from seeing them at all unless they want to. Sometimes people can read the white fonts.
You have no idea how many times I tried to edit that damn post. :wall: I was definately taking the short bus yesterday. Next time I post I will definately try it.

With the long history of over-hyped storylines failing to pay off, don't be a bit surprised if NBC pulls the rug out from under us this evening by sacrificing the following. The quip/hint within iamsmilin's spoiler has the tell-tale signs of a network plant and is ambiguous enough to apply to a number of cast members.

If the contract negotiations portion is true (I almost doubt this, as well), my money is on an auxiliary character or one introduced a few episodes in. If there were legitimate contract issues among the leads, a publicist or inside climber would have absolutely leaked this much sooner.

Ando and Simone both scream expendable (don't forget Hiro's monologue about not needing super powers in order to be a true hero), although the painting with Simone hints of a slower burn with her storyline.

While D.L. fits the framework of a teased death to a T (and producers lead us into that showing him within Nikki's scope), I'd almost automatically rule him out as a possibility because of that very fact. If a shot is fired and kills someone as a result, it's very plausible that person could be Micah.

Even if Ali Larter is a prominent figure in Resident Evil, her scenes could likely all be shot within two or three-week timeframe, and would likely take place during Heroes re-runs anyway.

Isaac holds the key to weaving the story, and is a central figure behind the show's marketing efforts with the Ninth Wonders comic. Unless another pre-cog is revealed to take up the task (and If Patrick Duffey can dream, anything is possible), I don't see him going anywhere.

Prediction: I think the human torch doppleganger gets it from Syler, giving him the radiation power necessary to cause the possible New York City explosion.

If we get an actual "swerve" from the network, I'll go with Micah.

In the previews for tonight's episode, it shows Sylar in the padded room screaming. It then says a hero will be lost followed by a showing gun. The background of the scene with the gun looked like the walls of the room Sylar is in.

1. Which hero do you think will be killed?

2. Is that person shot (hence the gun image)

3. Who do you think pulled the trigger? Possibly Sylar?

I think I'm on board with the idea someone posted of Sylar using Eden's own power to make her kill herself.Edit to fix the chick's name...

A scene alluding to that was in a preview for this week. If past history of previews are correct, they are sending us on a wild goose chase.

I don't see how this is possible considering he'd have to decapitate her and remove her brain before he could get her power to convince her to kill herself, Somehow I think the decapitation would do the job all by itself.

Yep ... debunks a great theory; however, let's not rule out the Patrick Duffey clause.

Peter could make her kill herself. I'm hoping for this, as Eden is probably my least favorite character.

HUH?He could just use his telekinesis to do that. In fact, we've seen him start to do that to the blonde FBI chick.

Really? She's sneaky, takes advantage of others weaknesses and loves to :stirspot: I think she'd fit in quite nicely here. ;)

From Spoiler Fix:

12/04 - Before Heroes goes into repeat mode, [Tim] Kring promises lots more insight into what — or better yet, who — is the bomb that will nuke Manhattan. "We've introduced Sprague (Matthew John Armstrong), who is radioactive and seems to be getting worse," Kring notes. "But we'll posit another theory that it's Peter (Milo Ventimiglia). He's having so much trouble absorbing the powers around him that he goes into a coma." A hero "will be seduced into the web of Horn-rimmed Glasses," Kring says of Jack Coleman's character. But Kring admits this may not ultimately prove as traitorous — or tragic — as it sounds. "We're keeping things ambiguous with H.R.G. There's a lot of uncertainty as to just how bad he really is, or where his allegiance really lies. He seems to be a very loving father, so the audience should feel torn about him." Someone with superpowers will die. But it could have been much worse, Kring claims. "We originally intended the Grim Reaper to come sooner and more often. In fact, we started out with a couple of the heroes already on the chopping block." What saved them? "Every actor and character is working so well that it's been hard to let anyone go. Still, killing this character will generate a tremendous amount of story." Source: TV Guide Online

12/04 - Claude, an invisible man played by British actor Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), appears Jan. 22. "He's been living with his invisibility for many years and has come to grips with it, so he'll give us a different view into this hero world," [Tim] Kring explains. "He's big, imposing and charismatic, and will become a mentor to Peter — albeit a tough, reluctant and stern one. He'll help Peter learn to use and control his powers." Source: TV Guide Online

11/15 - Christopher Eccleston — the original Dr. Who from the current Sci Fi/BBC series — is joining the cast in January in a really super (tee-hee) role. Source: Ask Ausiello @ TV Guide

I think Eden is the one to get it in a Sylar breakout. Thats my guess.
:lmao:
Great quess! How odd was it that Sylar just reached through the glass and got her? I think he was waiting to get healthy before doing something. Or, he knew HRG didn't have powers and waited for someone who did so he could steal from them. All in all, a great great episode and I can't wait to see what happens on the 22nd of January!MO

No I think HRG has the ability to cancel the power somehow, that's why he couldn't do anything.I could be wrong on that but that's how I saw it.

I think, much like Matt could "hear" a static when the Haitian was around, Sylar could probably also tell when he was around and when he wasn't.

wonder what the Hatian told Claire about her father

wonder when Hiro will get his sword, and more control over his powers

this show is good

I don't think it ever once occured to me that HRG might have powers of his own...

He was also in the scope with the door open in the previous preview and in this episode he was shot before the door opened. It also looked like she shot him in the head, but his head was fine when they were on the run. I'll have to go rewatch it to see if that's what actually happened.

Good call on the hat. DL did have a baseball cap on. The shot did go through his head, but healed right away, but his shoulder was still shot. Maybe they'll explain that later, or is there something I missed?

She did hit him in the head, but it went through him safely. The first one only wounded him because he wasn't ready for it. They showed the second shot going through his head and doing no damage. All in all, a good episode. Not sure how to take Peter's dream. Who was he even around to go into a dream/see the future? Also, did someone turn the defense system off to allow Sylar to use his power. It was pretty clear from the first scene with HRG and Sylar getting immensely angry that he was contained, so who shut it down? Also, why did Eden's power seem to have no affect on Sylar at that point either. Was that a dragon or a dinosaur in the picture with Hiro?

Wasn't it daytime 2 weeks ago when Jessica had DL in her crosshairs? But it was night when she shot him in front of the car. I think the Haitian is always around when Bennet is in speaking with Sylar. But that doesn't explain why Sylar just doesn't just bust through the window when he's being left alone and escape. The Haitian can't stick around to nullify Sylar 24/7.Peter was all pale and sick looking when talking to Claire. Why couldn't he heal himself from the ailments? It looks like Hiro warped himself in bit too far into the past and rolled up on a T-Rex. I hope the show doesn't get too hokey with the time travel stuff.

How about the stack of rocks Jessica knocked her kid into that moved around like they were painted styrofoam balls sitting on a tv show set somewhere? For some reason that bugged me since its on a show with a decent number of special effects.

Has Peter come into contact with Radioactive guy? Is isnt in the same jail where Peter was being held is he? There are just alot of signs pointing to Peter soaking up too much of Radioactive guy. Now with the unexplained sickness that being around Claire didnt heal, it almost seems like he could have radiation poisoning.

I think there was probably something around Sylars cell to cancel out his powers. It is possible though that it affected anyone in the area of his cell, so Eden would have had to shut it off to try to influence him. He just ended up being stronger then she was.

DL does not "heal", he used his power to let the bullet go through him. As someone else pointed out, he was not aware of the first shot so it hit him.

Good show last night. Hatian speaks, Haitian speaks :o

Also, who is the father working for? He was on the phone with someone. He wanted to kill Sylar but was told to "learn" from him.

BTW, for those asking they showed Eden turning off the security. Whatever was stopping Sylar from using any powers also would have stopped Eden.

So, will the Haitian turn on Father and work with Claire?

Can they "cure" Peter before he goes Nuclear?

Best line last night for me:

Hiro: "How you stop a man from exploding?" :lmao:
