  I've always thought so. My wife was an art major at UCLA, and one of her teachers took a gun and shot himself in the arm as performance art. ####### idiot. 

I got into an argument about this several years ago here with Rabidfireweasel (I miss that guy). He's an art prof and quite knowledgeable, but he defended these dudes, and Marcel Duchamp (who is famous for creating a toilet) and "Urine Jesus", etc. OK I get it's all supposed to be shocking, but let's not compare this stuff to Rembrandt or anything.

I wanted to be right about Romney 4 years ago. I supported him and wanted him to win. But after the 2nd debate I knew it was over and said so. 

So as usual Slapdash is full of ####. This isn't confirmation bias. Sometimes (often) I'm wrong and I admit it. Other times I'm right. I think I'll be right this time and if not I'll reassess.

I agree 100%.  I don't give a #### what someone wants to do in their private life.  That said, there's a significant difference between the statements "it shouldn't matter what John Doe likes to do in bed" and "if the public finds out what John Doe likes to do in bed, it won't matter".  I think the first is true, but the second is often false.

I'm not at all sure which one of the two statements Dodds is trying to make.

Oh bull####. Not going to speak for him specifically, but quite a few people I know think that the least-bad outcome is that Hillary wins very narrowly, and turnout is extremely low, so maybe, just maybe, the DNC will change their ways. If it's a blowout like you and others are rooting for, that's only going to validate the ####tiness that is Hillary and the DNC, so we'll get more of the same in the future. I know that's what you want, but most people do not.  :shrug:

It's not surprising.  Democrat pollsters will lean left and Republican pollsters will lean right.  Whichever side wins suddenly has the most accurate pollsters.

I imagine the more neutral pollsters have the better long-term accuracy, but I haven't run the numbers.

Actually, I think I've figured this one out.  I think the ignore feature fails to work when you use the Show Replies notification that pops up at the bottom to see new replies since you opened the thread.

See Tim - this is where you assume the pompous pr##ck mantle you have so carefully cultivated here. You haven't been a Democrat your entire life - and especially one who hates war and corruption with the whoring out to Wall Street that Hilary represents. We aren't few and far between - in case you haven't realized it your little girlfriend is only leading the WORST candidate in the history of our Nation by a scant few percentage points. She is poop - her team is poop - and she is scattering poop everywhere while she is freaking out. I'm tired of cleaning up her poop. Finally I could care less about how right YOU are because when we are in the battle for this party - I'm throwin your ### out of the bunker and you can fend for yourself.

I think predictions are a lower level of conversation, but I suspect the way SiD, and to a lesser degree Obama, have described Comey is closest to the truth, in which case Hillary will be more understanding than any expect and even make nice. She needs to put out a few fires and canning him is just going to fuel them.

Technically, nothing. But it has never been done or even seriously contemplated. That said, it would be the end of her Presidency. Impeachment proceedings would begin immediately and most Democrats would go along with it.

So when she gets in, she is then indicted, what stops her from pardoning herself?

She could pardon herself but it wouldn't stop Congress from impeaching her and removing her from office. It would only give her immunity from being prosecuted and going to jail.

I think its interesting in that the Dems clearly don't want the notion that Clinton is under investigation to be part of the conversation pre-election, and if the FBI finds evidence sufficient to prove the case post election, Pelosi apparently does not think that is relevant either.  So, its relevant before the election, but we should not talk about it.  We can talk about it post election, but its not relevant?

I'm certain that Pelosi would apply that same rationale (activities from before the election aren't grounds for impeachment) to Trump should he win.
