*** OFFICIAL *** In-Season Dynasty Trade Thread (2 Viewers)

Team rebuilding (had his first win this week and is scoring the fewest points) gave Rob Gronkowski and Thomas Davis

to contender for Michael Johnson, Alec Ogletree, and two 2014 1sts both likely mid-late
No better way to rebuild than to give away a young elite player for two mid-late first round picks. I don't play in IDP leagues so maybe those guys make up the difference, but I doubt it. There's a reason why some teams are always rebuilding.

DFWC PPR

I gave: 3 1sts (very likely (1) 1.6 or 1.7, (2) 1.7 or 1.8 and (3) 1.9-1.12)

I got: Trent Richardson

Comment: Oops. Prior to the Denver game, I got caught in a weak moment and rationalized my way into accepting. I still own the top 4 1sts in 2014 and these 3 were my lesser 1sts.

DFWC also, but different team:

I gave: Justin Blackmon

I got: Doug Martin

Comment: Playing for next year and currently have no RBs, mitigating the suspension risk on Blackmon since I own him in the other DFWC leagues as well
Having had banked all those 2014 firsts, I'd be curious to know what your thoughts are/had been in regard to who you are/were targeting in the 2014 draft.

Had a bye week issue this week at QB and made this trade in my 12 team PPR dynasty league

Gave: Luck

Got: Newton & 2nd rounder in 2014

10 team 1ppr start 1qb/2rb/3wr/1te/1flex/idp

I gave:

Coby Fleener (4 years)

2014 6th

2014 7th

Team B gave:

18 snotes (our currency, ~24% of our yearly FABB, carries over and is used for RFA in the offseason)

2014 5th

Purely a look forward. Vernon/Julius/Reed are my future at TE, best offer I could get for Fleener. I also own Calvin Johnson who's contract is up after this year, so figured it was a good time to accumulate some snotes to get ready to match the giant offer he's going to get.

Team B's TEs before the trade were Jared Cook and Fred Davis.

That's terrible. Why roster Michael in the first place if you're going to trade him for that?
It's hard to say yet if that's a bad trade since James Jones is a UFA next year.
Packers could be looking at the draft for a WR too... Boykin isn't exactly a world beater and talent wise he couldn't hold Michael's jock.

4 point passing league and 6 for rushing TDs. I am a firm believer that Cam will get better as the Panthers decide to actually address the WR core. Smitty is too old to be a #1. Still hoping Nicks comes back to Carolina as a FA next year and they draft a WR in the first or 2nd round.

QRRWWWWTDF 1.0 PPR (Flex includes Def/K)

Gave: Jordan Reed

Got: Tavon Austin

Own Gronk and needed long-term WR help. Because this league allows defenses in the flex spot, Reed is redundant on my roster when Gronk is healthy. It's a gamble as I am more sure about Reed being a quality fantasy option; but, in a start 4 WR league, I feel it needed to be done.

Blockbuster in my dynasty league..... Team A is in 1st Place and Team B is 3 games out of the playoff picture............

Team A Trades:

Eddie Lacy

Andy Dalton

DeSean Jackson

Jimmy Graham

Team B Trades:

Adrian Peterson

Sam Bradford

Robert Woods

Jordan Cameron
Even on a contender, I'd prefer Lacy/Desean/Graham to Peterson/Woods/Cameron.

1/2/3/1 + flex 12 team PPR

5-2 team trades Julio Jones + two late 2014 2nds

to

3-4 team for Moreno + Andre Johnson + two early 2014 1st round picks.

newbie crosses fingers and hopes he didn't give Julio away for nothing.
Provided those firsts are actually early (meaning top 4 at a minimum), then no, you didn't give him up for nothing. In fact, you came out pretty well for yourself.

If those early 1sts morph into mid 1sts, then you're probably going to regret that one.

I don't play in Dynasty, but I have a question: what offers are people seeing involving Khiry Robinson?
Slightly above throw in value IMO. Personally I'd send a 3rd for him, probably not a 2nd. It's pretty easy to look good in NO, and they're committed to a committee.
Provided the 2nd is late enough (say, 20+), I think that it's theoretically fair value for Robinson at this point. Thomas is old, Ingram is suck, and Ivory is Jet.

The problem is that, even if it's fair value, I almost always have better ways to spend 2nd rounders on my teams that are a contender (either as an inducement to get a larger trade through, or to trade for aging-but-productive players to patch holes in my roster). And if my team's not a contender, I rarely have a late 2nd round pick to trade.

1/2/3/1 + flex 12 team PPR

Team A is 5-2

trades D. Moore + Rivers (has Rogers) + late 2014 1st round pick

to Team B 6-1

Cobb + late 2014 second round pick + Cutler

Team B has Forte and Jamaal Charles and has to win now because he doesn't have a lot of young talent. Team A now has 3 mid to early first round picks and is a slight favorite to still make the playoffs this year.
Love the Cobb side of that so freaking hard. Perfect example of the market doing a bad job at valuing injured players.

This was just made in a Zealots Field dynasty league - non-PPR. Start 1QB, 2-3RB, 2-4WR, 1-3TE, plus assorted IDPs.

I was offered:

Trent Richardson

Travis Benjamin

for

Ryan Matthews

Alshon Jeffery

I'm a BIG fan of Jeffery but I had to jump all over this. I could not hit "Accept" fast enough.

Two trades I've made this year in a standard offensive scoring IDP league. (IDP scoring seems highly variable and is irrelevant anyway so I'm not listing. Link, if you care: http://www6.myfantasyleague.com/2013/home/30739#0)

QB / RB / RB / WR / WR / TE / F(R/W/T) / K + 11 IDP

Trade 1 - completed just prior to Rudoph's week 6 explosion:
They gave up
Rudolph, Kyle MIN TE
Year 2014 Round 4 Draft Pick

I gave up
Year 2014 Round 2 Draft Pick

I have Jimmy Graham and am concerned about his potential position listing next season after he gets paid like a WR. Since I can start 2 anyway, I find it a nice safety net move. (also have Fred Davis and young prospects at TE)

Trade 2 - completed prior to the season - August 20, to be exact:
They gave up
Manning, Peyton DEN QB

I gave up Cutler, Jay CHI QB
Brown, Antonio PIT WR
Year 2014 Round 1 Draft Pick

Steep price for Manning but I was a QB away from a solid championship run for a few years. Cutler has been good but locking up a surefire stud was the best move, I thought. (still do) This price was on par with or better than the capital I would have had to spend to get Brady or Rodgers from their respective owners.

10 team 1ppr start 1qb/2rb/3wr/1te/1flex/idp

I gave:

Coby Fleener (4 years)

2014 6th

2014 7th

18 snotes (our currency, ~24% of our yearly FABB, carries over and is used for RFA in the offseason)

2014 5th

Team B's TEs before the trade were Jared Cook and Fred Davis.
Same league.

I gave:

Larry Fitzgerald (2 years)

Team C gave:

Christine Michael (TS)

Ben Tate (4 years)

I felt I could afford to move Fitz, so another move for the future. RB core is now Rice,Charles,Pierce,Tate,Michael,Jstew

Team C is a borderline playoff team and guess he was tired of waiting on Roddy/Amendola. So he'll be starting Marshall/Gordon/Fitz each week.

I like the Mathews, D Moore, Palmer, 2015 1st side better. Rice is done.

Even a finished Rice is worth more than that.

Give me Rice in this deal. The only player even worth thinking about starting weekly. 2015 is a long way away

Mathews is looking better than Rice right now and they are the same age (I'd be looking to sell right now on Mathews though).

Moore is playing well too and looks like the guy we thought he was a couple years ago.

I'd easily take the Mathews, Moore, 1st side.

I think Moore is a FA next year as well. I mean this guy could end up in Indy and his value goes up. Right now he's a young top 20ish WR.

10 team PPR

2 trades I've made this season with the same team that are related to each other. (2nd trade was completed today)

trade 1 (7/14): Give: Aaron Dobson, 2014 2nd for 2014 1st

trade 2 (today):

Give: Seahawks D/ST, Stephen Gostkowski, 4th

Get: 2014 2nd (the same 2014 2nd I gave in trade 1, projected 2.01-2.05)

ends up being:

Give: Dobson, Seahawks D/ST, Gostkowski, 2014 4th

Get: 2014 1st (late)

Doesn't look like I'll make the playoffs so the D/St & K are replaceable. Don't really like what i've seen from Dobson. Gives me an extra 2014 1st to fill other needs

Both great trades. I'm not high on Dobson and I'd be happy to use him to move up into the 1st. Getting a high 2nd for a D and K is :moneybag:

not an earth mover, but another data point...

14 team graded PPR (.75/1/1.25) start 2RB/3WR/TE and can flex any.

Traded Teddy Bridgewater

Received 2014 Devy pick (mid) and Fleener

Pertinent details: trying to win it this year and needed help at flex. Have Rodgers at QB. But also had no Devy pick in 2014. 19 Devy players are on rosters so there is some talent left. Other team rebuilding and has 2 other Devy picks and Kap (guessing trade bait for one of them)

14 Team - No PPR

Gave:

TRich

Got:

DJax

2014 2nd Round Rookie Pick

Just got sick of TRich doing nothing ... have McCoy/Martin/Mathews/Vereen so I decided to take a chance

Thoughts?

Probably come to regret that one IMO. 2nd round picks don't have much value. DeSean is having a career year, but he's a feast-or-famine one trick pony who's really just a WR2-WR3 type for FF long term. Also, his game is predicated completely on speed and he'll be useless the minute he loses a step. On the cusp of turning 27 he still has a couple good seasons left, but I'd much rather bank on Richardson becoming a quality starter for the next 4-6 years.

I've got a relatively old "win now" team, and made a move to get a little older and more "win now":

Gave.

S. Hill

2014 1st

Received:

V. Jackson

Jackson replaces Golden Tate as a starter, with Amendola being Amendola.

Manning

McCoy

Murray/MJD/Bolden depending on health

Welker

VJax

Blackmon

S. Smith/Amendola

Gronk/Witten

Zealots non PPR dynasty

Gave: TY Hilton/Bilal Powell/2014 1st

Got: Matt Forte/2014 4th

With Martin going down I was left with J. Charles/JStew at RB. I needed to secure another RB, so hopefully Forte will continue to play well. Im 7-0, so the 1st I gave up should be fairly late, and the 4th should be fairly early as the team I dealt with is currently 2-5.

12 team PPR league

Gave:Helu, D. Moore and K. Wright

Got: Fred Jackson, Josh Gordon and R. Broyles
Wow, that little lot wouldn't come even close to what I'd require for Gordon and you got a nice little year plus out of Fred Jackson as well. Good job

Strong move to sync up your roster.

Cheap price to pay for Forte, regardless of the circumstances.

12 team PPR (1.5 TE) 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 3 flex

Team A 6-0 traded:

2014 1st

Zac Stacy

Team B 2-4 traded:

Shane Vereen
Any thoughts on this? Not seeing a whole lot of deals with either player recently.
Need more info on the first.
Team A is now 7-0, so I'd say the pick is likely to be 12th or close to it.
I offered something very similar to this for vereen, but, I'm 2-5 with that roster and building for the future with a sick core.

A couple from an FFPC league (PPR, 1.5PPR for TE, loser's bracket for 1st-6th pick, keep 14 skill players)

Trade #1 was last week after Moreno's huge game:

Moreno

late 1st (team was in 1st place)

for

early 1st (team was in roughly 10th place at the time)

early 2nd (team in 12th)

Trade #2 was this week

Demaryius Thomas

Early 1st acquired in trade #1 (team now in 11th)

Justin Hunter

Geno Smith

for

Doug Martin

Cam Newton

Colts D/ST

12 team PPR, 1QB 1RB 1WR 1TE 3FLEX

Small deal that happened late last night:

Team A trades:

Roy Helu

Team B trades:

Harry Douglas

I agree with this, I think team A is paying for what Peterson did last year.

The early first sways this deal, take it out and I like Cam/Martin side. Make it a late first and it is pretty even
