*** Official Michael Turner 2007 offseason thread *** (2 Viewers)

The Cowboys could make a play for Turner. With the early 2nd or one of the next year's 1sts. A Turner/Barber RBBC could be deadly.

So are we ready to declare a trade of Turner dead? give me a reason to keep the faith.
How short are the memories of some of you people??? The 2008 1st was the most reliable rumor yesterday, and nothing's changed in that regard.
Fair point - so when does it get announced if it is a 2008 pick?good point about Dallas having an extra pick in 2008 now.

Sorry I came off so blunt. I just saw two posts (yours and another) giving up, and it is unwarranted.I think the fact that neither GB or TEN got Lynch improves the chances of a deal. Who knows when it happens, if it happens. These teams' 2nd round picks and what they do with them might matter too.

San Diego still hasn't picked. It could easily be a Harrell + a 2008 1st for the Charger pick + Turner. SD could take Meachem and it would certainly LOOK like a trade could be on the horizon.

There's still alot of talk about a trade of Griffin for Turner straight up on the SD radio. The pick just seemed odd for Tenn.
I won't say it's not a fair trade, but seems very odd. I agree, Griffin is not the player I saw going to TN, or the position.

Meachem gone... now what.
Jarrett, Rice, still plenty of optinos.
My sources have the Chargers asking for a trade involving Turner in exchange for Griffin...
I would do that immediately.

AJ has already made it clear that he would trade for a 1st rounder. Either this is inaccurate or there is another trade in the works.

That offer seems doubtful, as it seems unlikely that the Chargers will get a better offer with the 1st round out of the way.

Unless it involves, as has been speculated, a 1st next year plus, whereby AJ sees next year as a better draft.

A Trade doesn't look good
Agreed. And after all that discussion. :shock:ETA: although I suppose if it involves a pick for next year, if the Titans or Packers don't find an RB they like in the next few rounds, a trade could still happen after the draft.

The suggested picks offered to the Chargers have been a 3rd this year and a 1st next year. I have to think that there are still some deals on the horizon depending on which players are available in the 3rd round.
