If Owens wins it all, who do they backfill the IC title with? Or do they re-steal the RoH idea of Owens holding both World and IC titles?
This question alone is probably enough to guarantee WWE doesn't push Owens to the top, especially since they just made such a big deal about Rollins having World/US titles. Same goes for Del Rio for that matter.

I'd put the IC strap on Cesaro though, especially after the match he just had on Monday. They should have saved that one for the PPV.
I'd agree, that would steal some of the rub from Rollins.

WWE has always had heels as transitional champions; Rollins seemed to be the exception - I guess we'll never know now. Since you can pretty much rule out Del Rio and Owens as finalists, it does set up the lazy booking of Reigns/Ambrose which is two faces...something the WWE almost never does. Even though Reigns is regarded as weak sauce by the IWC, does WWE risk their wrath by putting the belt on him? Since Vince is still lighting cigars with $100 bills, I'm going to say yes.

I just cant see them putting the belt on Owens right now either. I really can't see anything other than putting the belt on Reigns.

Seen it posted quite a bit on various sites, but strongly disagree with the whole Reigns fighting through a #### ton more adversity  before he gets the title. It's not going to get him anymore over as a face right now. No one is gonna feel sorry or give sympathy for a 6'3 270lb monster in Reigns. The Daniel Bryan sympathy story isn't going to work for Reigns. It'll fall flat on its face just like when WWE laughably nominated Reigns '2014 Superstar of the Year' on Raw.......and then tried to shove him down fans throats with Rumble win, etc....

I was channel surfing this morning and came across Paragon Pro Wrestling on POP (a shopping channel). There, wrestling in a fatal 4-way for the PPW Heavyweight title was none other than Wes Brisco. He was a member of Aces and Eights in TNA. He won the match to become PPW HC. He is indeed the son of Gerald Brisco and nephew of Jack Brisco.

Honestly I don't see any way they don't either, unless they do an Ambrose heel turn screwjob or something.

I feel like they missed an opportunity here by not having Cesaro in the semi-finals over Del Rio. He's a talented guy looking for a role, he'd make a great corporate henchman.

My crazy booking theory is an Ambrose vs Reigns final where one of the two comes to the ring in white power ranger Rollins cosplay for the final.
I like that. You have 2 faces and 2 heels going into the tourney tonight. I think the best bet is a heel leaving with the title, either current or turned tonight.

I'm just ready for "a Moment". It's been forever since the WWE has shocked anyone. I know in the current state, with the IWC, it's hard to shock, but these guys need to do something. I can't remember the last "Holy ####" moment I have had.

Agreed, I just hope it's not just another boring episode of RAW disguised as a PPV because it's on the network.

Here's what I would do... (I don't read spoilers so if this comes true it's pure luck)

HHH tries to buy off Owens/Del Rio... in spite of it Reigns beats Del Rio and Ambrose pulls out a win against KO with a quick pin.

HHH then approaches Ambrose with an offer he can't refuse... Ambrose takes some time to think about it.

Reigns finds out, confronts Ambrose about it... Ambrose denies it but Reigns doesn't believe him and storms off with parting words.

The main event is back and forth, neither guy having a significant advantage throughout the match. Ref gets knocked out or distracted and HHH (sitting at ringside) climbs up on the apron and hands Ambrose a sledgehammer, yelling at Ambrose to use it, but Ambrose uses it instead on HHH. Reigns takes advantage of the distraction delivering a superman punch, followed by a spear.

1...2...3... Reigns is your new champion.

An angry HHH storms the ring and smacks Reigns with the sledgehammer and delivers a pedigree. Maybe Owens gets involved too if they want him to go the Authority route.

Sheamus' music hits, he runs down and delivers a brogue kick to a woozy Reigns... Sheamus is your new champion. HHH delivers some line about "always have a plan B".

Later down the line Ambrose / Reigns get a little heat building because Reigns didn't believe Ambrose while both try to get to Sheamus first with Reigns eventually getting the title back at the Rumble. Ambrose wins the Rumble itself and we have a Reigns/Ambrose match at Wrestlemania.

I'm in the market for a WWE video game for the Xbox 360. Any recommendations? I don't so much care about who's in it. I'd really like to play the Royal Rumble.

I'd start with something like this and then have Reigns accept the offer (secretly) and win the title with help from the authority, turning him heel.

WWE 2K14, without a doubt. Great in-game lineup and a robust CAW feature where you can download pretty much anyone else you want in the game. The Wrestlemania mode is pretty awesome too and a must if you grew up with the WWF in the 80's-'90's. Don't even bother with 2k15. It was more of the same with a weaker lineup and several missing features. And plus, since it's 2 years old, you can find it for cheap. If you get it used, you'll want to pay for the unlock code so you can access online features, such as downloading characters and, of course, online play (which is very fun). If you get it, let me know and I'll jump on with you. I should probably also mention that this is IMO the best wrestling game since WWF No Mercy on the N64.

Ambrose-Owens was alot of fun. Great match.

I feel bad for Roman. Guy has really improved and is pretty good now but the fans just don't like him and Vince and Triple H just won't budge.

Gave the current product a shot again with the tourney. Good luck fella to those that stick around.PPV not worth a review.

Luchas back in a month or two. Maybe will look back into watching it again.

Cliffs notes
Reigns beats Del Rio and Ambrose beats Owens in good matches with clean finishes.

Ryback, Dragons, and Usos easily beat New Day, Barrett and Sheamus. After BigE got eliminated the rest of the New Day left with him leaving Sheamus 3 on 1. Ryback and one of the Dragons and Usos survive.

Charlotte beat Paige in a long match that nobody seemed to care about. The controversial contract signing didn't appear to have the desired effect. Crowd wasn't into it.

Brees beat Ziggler clean in the middle of the ring after an "unprettier" (Christian's old finisher). Seems to fit his gimmick.

Brothers of destruction beat Bray and Harper after Undertaker tombstoned Harper. Cool undertaker entrance. It was a tribute to the Undertaker's 25 years, basically.

Reigns beat Ambrose clean with the spear. Ambrose congratulates Reigns. No heel turns. Reigns celebrates with the belt as confetti fills the ring. HHH comes out to congratulate Reigns and offers to shake his hand, but Reigns is having none of it. Reigns spears HHH, but then Sheamus comes in and broque kicks Reigns. He cashes in. Reigns kicks out once, but Sheamus quickly hits another and Sheamus is your new corporate champion, leaving with HHH.

The show had some good matches. Most of them were decent to good I thought. They're in a bit of a bind without Cena or Rollins. Rusev and Orton are on the shelf too. It feels like an NFL team who has suffered so many injuries they really can't compete no matter how hard they try.

Still, Sheamus just makes me want to change the channel. :yucky: Hopefully his reign is short lived.

Not sure where they go from here. They seem a little boxed in. You'll probably want a face to win the Royal Rumble so they can face the top heel for the belt at WM. But that heel can't be Sheamus...can it? So I'm really curious to see what happens with the belt...sorry..."championship" between now and March. I assume Lesnar will factor in somehow. Maybe Cena, but we've seen that match many times already. Maybe the Rock. I don't know.

Very funny they just followed the same script as the DB title win followed by the OrtonOrtin cash in. Very creative, lol.

I didn't hate the overall show. I was entertained.

All three tournament matches were PPV quality. Everyone involved came away looking strong. ADR and Owens will get to continue their title runs and I look forward to seeing who they work with.

The New Day traditional SS match was fun. Woods' hair was worth 9.99 alone. And also you get the ever so subtle Kalisto rub with him on the victor's shoulders, and you get a few weeks of Woods and Kofi saying they were never eliminated from the match.

Undertaker/Kane vs. The Wyatt Jobbers was exactly what you wanted. Huge announcer table spot, check. Bray himself doesn't take the pin, check. Undertaker working more of the match than I expected, even pulling of "Old School" (VINTAGE UNDERTAKER, MYGALE!!!), check. Badass entrance for Taker, badass exit for both Taker and Kane, check. If I had to bet, this is the last time Taker pins anyone. I would say he goes away until WM, and loses there. It was a nice way for him to go out. 25 years, bookmarked with wins at SS.

Dolph/Breeze was good for a popcorn match. Golddust in the preshow traditional SS match against Cody was fun. The Divas were average, but their average is still light years from where they were. I think we get Charlotte/Paige/Sasha triple threat at WM, with Bailey showing up on the RAW after WM.

Just because we all hate Sheamus doesn't make this a bad PPV. It's just a bad cup of coffee at the end of a good meal. Personally, I'm glad he finally cashed in. There is zero chance he is taking that belt into WM, so he loses it within the next 90 days, and I'm fine with that.

Once they locked Sheamus into the MITB, he either had to lose it in a squash match (him running to the ring, cashing and getting knocked the #### out) or win it for a period...only to lose it pretty quickly. IF I were them, I'd have Reigns call for the rematch tonight....win it despite Authority intervention and then set off a storyline where The Authority keeps looking for a better and better person to be Reigns. Maybe it ends up Lesnar....or Ambrose...or even if he can return Daniel Bryan. Realistically though...it'll probably be Big Show.

Yeah, I can't see Sheamus as being anything other than a transitional champion. I will speculate and say he loses it by/at the Royal Rumble.

Looking at the results, it seems as if Vince pulled the rug out on the fans. Everyone knew or highly suspected that Reigns was a shoo-in to win this. So with the IWC still not on board with Reigns, Vince has him win the belt just to have the IWC go ape poop. Then, just when you see him pounding on HHH to reinforce his babyface bona fides, along come Sheamus - someone even HIGHER on the IWC's hate list - to come along and win the title.

It's almost as if Vince shoved the IWC's face in a plate of dog poop, pulled their face out and then peed on it.

And you know the ironic and amusing thing is while they're so desperately trying to play the sympathy angle with Roman, so when he finally wins it will be a big special moment for him and the fans, it's actually Ambrose that the fans have the most sympathy for. And it's him that the fans want to see finally get his big win/moment. Unbeknownst to them they're booking Dean perfect if he were to win the RR and then finally win the title at WM. Obviously they have no clue and won't be doing that. Lol

And just sacrificed their ratings even further. Good ol' Vince!

In "That'll Never Happen Land", I'd like to see McMahon get so desperate that he buries things with CM Punk and he saves him from an embarrassing MMA run, all while bringing back one of the only people who has a possibility to save the ratings disaster they have going for them.

Yeah, unfortunately I think Punk really is done with wrestling. He would be one of the only people who can save this mess, though.

Now Cesaro is out 4 to 6 months with a shoulder injury. Just gets worse and worse for the WWE.
