Roman overcomes all odds to win the belt!!! 

Crowd couldn't give a #### less :lol:   Only reason they reacted to anything was with possibility of Braun cashing in.

 
Canceling my subscription, what a cop out.  Might look at next years Mania if things change. Used Braun to keep the crowd somewhat entertained.  Favorite chant was “You both suck”.

I'm only keeping my Network for NX and the UK show plus the Mae Young Tourney. Plus some of the shows are nice. Probably not watching RAW until Roman loses the title

Goldberg' spear was great because it was a new move we hadn't seen and Goldberg was absurdly explosive for a man that size.  Since then the move has been played out and doesn't look nearly as devastating when less explosive or skinny guys like Edge do it.

With that said, is the spear really worse than this finisher used to hold the title for six straight years?

Thats bad and so is the Hogan Leg Drop. Edge spear looked great though especially the one where he almost broke Jeff Hardy in half during the TLC Match

 
Stroman, Balor, Ambrose, KO, Ziggler/McIntyre, a rebuilt Wyatt...all those guys can be challengers, and the most interesting match in all cases is Roman carrying the belt.

Which is probably why Baszler just lost the NXT belt. Give someone credible to put against Rousey. 

Bliss is great at what she does. She's a great talker, she can get the crowd going, and she plays the coward who only wants to fight when she's at an advantage. 

What makes her an un-credible match for Rousey is that she always fights scared and dirty. Carmella has the same problem. Make them look like strong fighters who cheat to win if they have to, they'd be a lot more acceptable as competition for the championships. But they always have to cheat to win, so they look weak.

It's more so I don't mind a Balor or Rollins having beat Brock in a wrestling match type thing but they need to make it believable. Brock is a pure fighter but wrestler he's not great if he had to rely on just his wrestling ability. Ronda has some wrestling background which is why she's really succeeded. So did Brock but only at the college level where Rhonda's got her to higher levels such as olympics and all. The other problem is what you described as a scared fighter and dirty for Bliss which make her uncredible. Not put any of the four horsewomen or Sane or Asuka against Rousey and you got a credible fight. I don't want to be dumb down like the Roman stuff where oh he can defeat Brock in a all out brawl which is what they turned Roman into. The push he's getting is bigger then anything Hogan or Cena ever got. Demon Finn beating Brock I can take. That's like an alter ego to Balor where he just changes similar to Brian Dawkins when he went from NFL Player off the field which was one of the nicest guys ever to on the Field he transformed into his beast mode Wolverine ego that if you crossed in the street you ran whichever way he wasn't going. 

My issue with Baszler is she really is bad. If Kari can't get a good match out of her what makes people think one of the Four Horsewomen of wresting can? Baszler is that wrestling fan pretending to be a wrestler. Theres only so many times she can use The Who's next to beat up before it gets old. If Rousey/Baszler had a Brawl sure I could see Shana having a chance but Ronda is heads and shoulders better wrestler then her. 

My overall problem with WWE is doing things where they act like the fans are dumb. At least the ones who watch weekly. Storylines that overrun and don't make sense. There's 4 former Universal Champions including Finn who haven't gotten a title rematch and no one in WWE has ever said there's no rematch clause for the Universal title. One week you have two people hating each other and then 3 weeks from now they are best friends teaming with one another. Don't get me started on the Kurt Angle Black Son BS either. That was just cringeworthy. They also don't use past storylines like they should. I was surprised when Kane comeback to Help Bryan they even had him mention that he almost tried to abduct Brie during their feud after their split. But I guess WWE hopes everyone forgets it. It's just lazy storytelling. No thought process involved in their decisions unless it involves Roman. Stop acting like the fans are dumb because the fans have already ####ted all over the laziness and uncreative ideas. I was shocked last night what they did with AJ/Joe that was some Ruthless Aggression Attitude Era esque type stuff. Reminded me when Orton and Legacy fueled with HHH and the McMahons and Orton Hangman DDT Steph in the ring or when JBL went after Eddie and his family during their feud. I was also glad the crowd booed the Bellas when they came into the ring after the Rousey match. Could WWE shove their show and total divas down our throats even more?

Rousey's background is in judo, not wrestling. Brock has a ton more wrestling background than Rousey does. 

Despite what they've said about her willingness to compete on RAW unlike Brock, she's going to be the Brock of the Women's division (except when he was her age, Brock was a regular worker). She's been in the company since the Royal Rumble, but she's had 1 singles match on RAW and only 2 singles matches on PPVs and she's already the champ. She does judo throws and a few basic moves and that's it. 90% of Rousey is her billing as "The Baddest Woman on the Planet". 

Baszler at least has been working her way up through NXT and is actually looking to be a wrestler. I wouldn't be surprised if Rousey is just doing this hoping it will be a boost for her acting career. 

 
It almost makes me think, and not merely suspect, that we really have been in "the new kayfabe" for the last 1.5 years, ever since they used Roman to deke us into cheering for Randy Orton winning the 2017 Rumble. That they are embracing the "cheer for your team" instead of "cheer for the face."

Randomly decided to watch 1996 King of the Ring Saturday night after NXT Takeover, and I gotta say the HBK v Bulldog match was really, REALLY good.  Head and shoulders above virtually anything you get from current WWE aside from maybe some of AJ's top matches.  I know it's HBK, so it's kind of expected but I don't recall ever seeing that on any of his best match lists.

Also, I was drunk.  But ####### that was entertaining (setting aside the shmoz at the end.)

Big fan of Adam Cole, if only he was bigger, Vince would push him to the moon.

Enough of Gargano v Ciampa, that match just didn't seem much different than Chicago.

This kind of thinking inspires new kayfabe** imo. Now we'll think KO has truly earned a spot in main event competition.

**This is the only thing keeping me watching the product, twisting everything into how to work the fan that "knows everything." And now I'm being worked by trying to decipher it! I love it Maggle!

I just read on a pro wrestling news/rumors site that despite Owens' getting squashed by Strowman last night it's anticipated that Reigns' first feud with the strap will be against Owens.

I mean don't get me wrong, I think the squash pretty much had to happen unless they wanted to have some big outside interference, otherwise the way the matches had been, it was not believable for KO to put up much of a credible fight.

Which leads me to - How is current KO credible going up against RR??   I want him to be, I'm a big KO fan.

Which makes ZERO sense. KO gets jobbed out for the whole program against Strowman - the holder of the MitB briefcase- AND gets the first crack at RR? :loco:  

 
Makes enough sense to me as the rest of pro wrestling does. KO is 1) on the main event tier of the show and 2) an established sneaky heel. There is some way there to finagle a title shot.

 
KO is a former Universal Champ who logged in a few successful title defenses against RR.  Momentum isn't on his side but history is.  The story's there to be told. 

Not to mention, there's a credible argument to be made that KO is the greatest Universal Champion of all time.

Ronda is a legit wrestling fan. I don't know if you followed her career but the Rowdy nickname was given to her by friends because Piper was her favorite Wrestler and Pipper gave his blessing for her to use the Nickname. Baszler and the other 2 girls are only in wrestling so WWE can get their dream 4 horsewomen of MMA vs their 4 from WWE. I wouldn't be surprised after 2 or so yrs Baszler is gone. Ronda legit wants to wrestle and be there for awhile. Everything Ive read and heard is she wants to be there.

They'll also acknowledge after Roman loses the belt theres a rematch clause hoping we forget that Brock/Finn/KO/Goldberg all didn't get their rematch's yet. And one of those guys Balor relinquished the belt do to injury the night after winning it. One can only imagine where Finn Balor would be if he never got hurt. That legit upset me being a huge Devitt/Balor fan for yrs seeing him in NxT so long carrying that Brand then comes up and is pushed right away and wins the title only to see him legit hurt and have to give up the title. I knew the minute I saw him give that title up he wasn't gonna see it again for a VERY VERY VERY longtime. Hopefully if its not done by then when Hunter takes over more the first thing he does is get Finn his Bloody Title back!!!

Rousey's a wrestling fan, but she's not going to be making the kind of money in the WWE she wants.  She's an attraction right now.  That'll fade and then she'll move on, like she did with the UFC.

Baszler is working her way through the NXT, she's not coming straight into the main roster.  You don't do that if you only plan to be around for a year or two.  Baszler is looking for a job.  She's putting in the work to make it a career.  She's planning to stay.

 
Just remember folks "They do it for Roman" Putting the Sheild Back together won't do ####. Sacrifice Seth Dean and Braun all at once to get Roman over. Vince would Kill a baby to get this guy over at this point
