And who is one of the few men to pin Hulk Hogan clean 1-2-3 in a single’s match after Hulkamania began to run wild.

It should also be noted that Raymond Rougeau, who looked like a typical mustached dad, was a well liked, nice guy among his peers, but was also a known legit tough guy who was not to be messed with.
The shoots both Rougeaus did in recent years about the Dynamite Kid feud are really interesting to watch. Dynamite Kid was the biggest ##### ever and deserved what Jacques gave him.

As much as I loved Dynamite Kid growing up and I still respect how far ahead of his peers he was in putting on a more modern match, from all accounts he was one of the biggest A holes the business has ever seen.  He totally deserved what he got from Jacques.  It’s only a shame it hadn’t happened sooner.

It goes to show that talent and decency don't necessarily go hand in hand.

For sure. I suspect that deep down even most of the Kid's buddies at the time knew he deserved it, which is why there was never any retribution from any of them against the Rougeus in any way.  Granted, Vince would have come down hard on anyone who did, but there are many ways to get back at someone "off the clock."

Per Brad Shepperd. I felt WWE was doing a great job of not dabbling in the political stuff given Vince's public relationship with Donald Trump over the years. I know Shane and his family and Hunter and I believe Steph lean left if I'm not mistaken. However Fox now wants Trump on SDL at some point. If AEW is any good and doesn't get too PC and sticks with wrestling (Thought they did a great job with Nyla Rose in the ring not bringing up she's the first trans Gen Wrestler publicly) if Fox pulls this they'll wish IMHO to have never done this I won't get too political about this other then I think mixing politics with wrestling is a terrible idea.

I’ve confirmed a recent report from @Colohue of @SKProWrestling which stated Fox has made a request for President Donald Trump to appear on the first #WWE #SDLive on FOX, and I have exclusive details on that situation. #Thread

#WWE’s executive board will be meeting about this at an undisclosed time to weigh out the pros and cons - they may survey talent, regular employees and the creative team. It is highly likely that a Memorial Day video package will be a thing as well.

I’m told Stephanie McMahon reached out to both the White House Communications Director and White House Press Secretary about this at an undisclosed date (thought to be last week). Stephanie is trying to broker the deal.

Per Brad Shepard sounds like there will be issue for WWE talent who gets too buddy buddy with the AEW peeps this fall

In speaking to a high level source in #WWE, I was told the so-called “war” coming this fall is going to get very real, very fast for the talent - all of the liking #AEW tweets, following them, sharing their stuff and being all buddy-buddy won’t be tolerated much longer. 1/2

They stated the talent had better not overestimate their usefulness and underestimate Vince’s willpower to be “petty as ####” - it was noted even high profile talents should take note. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are already planning to lead the charge. 2/2

WWE official responded to Brad's tweet on Fox/Trump saying it's completely false.

What are they going to do? Tack on more time to Luke Harper's contract?

Thats good to hear. I heard recently he did an interview and asked about his podcast. He said Glenn did a few untrustworthy things. SJW Ryan Satin as per usual was on the case retweeting tons of people who said they were scammed by Glenn Moore. Given Lawler's WWE ties and WWE desperation for fans at shows maybe comp these people some Tix to a WWE event in the near future near them would be in the works too?

FYI Ryback accursed his former co host Pat Buck of similar things but Buck I was told left Ryback's podcast as he was told by his WWE friends if he stayed on he'd be burning bridges with them and WWE and Vince if he stayed with Ryback would make it look like Buck was in agreement with them. Buck doesn't wrestle anymore but was part of WWE for awhile in the early to mid 2000s. Buck didn't want to burn bridges and Ryback is known around the industry as a guy who looks desperate and bitter. WWE did screw up a surgery of his awhile back but Ryback was difficult to work with and thought he was too good at times to work with certain talent.

Ouch.... I'm not sure. I could definitely see if Ali liked a tweet or two and was in a push that WWE takes that away and keeps him off TV or turned him into a comical act. Thats happened with guys before AKA The Revival. And that was simple because they refused to sign a new WWE deal

I'm not sure that's compensation. :lmao:

I'd rather have some of King's artwork or a photo with him. He's a big Indians fan and has made a few appearances for their AAA affiliate in Columbus.

Just attended opening night of G1 Climax 29.

That was the most fun I've ever had at a live event.
What was the attendance like? Saw on twitter a few empty seats? If so care to elaborate on opinion why or why not? Biggest pops most heat? Favorite match/favorite wrestler of the night? Etc. Always nice to hear from a fan who actually attended these events.

Don't put in spoilers as NJPW didn't air the even live for the US fans. They just put it on their VOD. I'll watch it either later tonight or tomorrow. So I'm not sure even if @Tom Servo saw It yet. I'm watching all soccer today though

It was on AXS TV last night. I saw the last three hours...all the A block matches.  There were empty seats about where you'd expect them to be = @hagmania can confirm.

From what I saw, Okada got a huge pop. IMO he was surprised by the reaction he got.  He was definitely feeling the love.  His match with Tanahashi was excellent and really told a story of two guys fighting for those two points needed to win the block. Kevin Kelly had stats to show what each man has been averaging in the G1 points-wise which helped sell the importance of the match and how the loser was going to be behind the proverbial 8 ball in terms of getting to the finals.

I don't get AXS TV as it doesn't come with my cable package standard or HD. that I have. It's one of those channels I need to pay for so all my NJPW stuff comes off of NJPW world right now

R-Truth and Drake Maverick are the most entertaining thing in WWE right now. These 2 are the gift that keep giving and the entertainers you didn't even know we needed

Someone want to explain the curtain jerker match last night?  It's a mixed tag team elimination match.  However, WWE doesn't allow men and women to wrestle against each other. So, once Vega was pinned, Becky was also out since she can't wrestle Andrade.  What would've happened if Andrade pins Rollins?  Now you've got two people who can't wrestle each other.

WWE "logic" :loco:

It was terrible.  Seems like just another stupid gimmick to avoid wrestling through the commercial break.

You know better then try to use logic to explain anything WWE. They talked about this on the podcast review I listen to. It's just so frustrating. WWE kiss asses complain how "we Marks and IWC" complain about the product. We're more frustrated with the lack of logic and WWE only using their rules when it fits them. For example must defend a title in 30 days. How many days did Brock go without defending the Universal or WWE title for all these yrs? We fans just don't like our inteliigiants being insulted which Vince and company do routinely.

I cannot wait till AEW comes and I've been recently noticing I spend most of my time watching more NJPW. I spent a few Monday's ago catching up on the Best of Super Jrs tourney.

I was catching up on Chris Jericho's podcast and was listening to the one on Eddie. One, just the mention of his name gets a pop from fans more than a decade after his death.  The other is CJ told a story about Eddie peeing on Elvis' boyhood home in Tupelo, MS. When called on it, Eddie said, "Eh...who did he ever beat?" I'm :lmao:  so much I lost my breath.

Per Brad Sheppard Vince Tried bringing Vince Russo back

According to a source, @THEVinceRusso was presented by @VinceMcMahon as someone to bring on to help with writing and big picture planning, as part of the recent changes. I’m told @bruceprichard nixed it. #WWE #RAW #SDLive

Finally watched G1 last night another great show and can't wait for NJPW at the ECW arena for Tiger Hattori's retirement countdown. Gonna miss that *******.

Bruce Pitchard is now my favorite person.

Melissa Santos is officially off the market as she and Brian Cage tied the knot on Thursday.

She shared an IG story from a friend. Said friend bought her a wedding card that says, "We know you're going to bang tonight!" :lmao:

Anyone watching Fight for the Fallen tonight? AEW is really the only wrestling I'm watching right now, so I get pretty excited even for these mid-card PPVs.
Tonight is my first AEW experience. Pretty juiced with lots of beer.

Anybody getting closed captions on your feed even if you have it switched off??
