Bret Hart turned down an invitation for RAW Reunion. Nothing for the DoN appearance just that he doesn't want to travel a lot right now. Nothing serious just taking time for himself right now

WWE is apparently running the Smackville Special (Which is a house show in Nashville turned in a Special) as a practice run in case they need to get some sort of special up fast. It's their way to combat special events for AEW so Omega going after WWE for airing the Evolve Special the Same night as Fyte For The Fallen is pretty legit and appropriate. Per multiple people Vince at a meeting on Friday said he wants to take it too them before they get to them.

But I thought WWE doesn't view AEW as competition...

Last thing WWE needs to be doing is running more of their garbage shows.

Things are only going to get worse with Bischoff. Who is a zero creatively, doesnt follow the product at all, hasn't made a relationship with anything but Hulk's asshoIe in 20 years. Don't be surprised to see the Nasty Boys holding the Smackdown tag titles soon.

From what I understand, EB has no control over SDL like Heyman has over RAW. He's to function as a liaison between the E and FOX.

Through Night 6 of the G1. Still have one to go to be caught up, lordy.

Just all around outstanding matches tho. Well worth the time put in, when at least three out of the five matches are good and of those one is bound to be great.

Night 5: All worth watching with the exception of Okada vs Fale, which was basically the same match that Okada and Fale always have together. Was still OK, just y'know... Fale. Archer continues an impressive run of tournament matches with another slam-jammer vs KENTA. Just because Tanahashi vs ZSJ and Ospreay vs Ibushi headlined, don't overlook the very good match that was EVIL vs Sanada. I'd say on match quality this was the best night of the tourney of the first six.

Night 6: Yano vs Jay White was hilarious and Ishii vs Moxley was an epic brawl in the main event. Shingo and Taichi really got the crowd fired up. Continuing to think Naito is running at about 70% in the tank; his match with Goto was good, but kinda paint-by-number. Cobb and Juice was OK, but nothing truly special. I think Cobb might turn the corner on G1 style in 2 or 3 matches... but then he won't have any time left to be a showcase.

Meltzer has said this numerous times since Raw Reunion was announced and I agree with him:

They need to use the extra viewers they'll get for this show to run a big angle with their current stars. They [WWE] are smart enough to know that, but who knows if they will actually follow through with it.

It would be awesome if they let Stone Cold run wild with {Becky, Kofi, Bayley} in Seg-1 and then have {Drew McIntyre, AJ & the Club, the Fiend} just lay waste to him to close the show. Austin could give a couple of current superstars a HUGE rub.

Vince will just have Hogan attack all of New Day Brother.

Eric doesn't run creative. He's a Liaison for WWE to FOX. He's very good at that type of work and communication of that.

I mean, this could be true...I suspect it has more to do with WWE's quarterly stock report and conference call due this Thursday. When people are drilling him over ratings, this one night boost will be something he can hang his hat on.

@ShamrockPride Steve Carrier who writes to ringside news called out Dave Meltzer on reporting John Cena returning to WWE this week asking Dave why he still neglects Brad Sheppard's reporting who reported the Cena return 2 days prior to him. This goes back to your question of Meltzer not having sources or what happened with him. Meltzer use to have something like this before anyone else did. Instead of crediting someone for it he denies it as he doesn't want to admit he wasn't first anymore. Also if you ever listen or read Meltzer's quotes it's obvious he has no idea what he's talking about and just throwing #### up on a wall with quotes "IMO I think", "I believe this is what they are trying to do", "Perhaps they are going with this", and "Well someone told me this" and the rumor was already debunked by others.

Don't get me wrong Meltzer is great for wrestling History. If you need to know who was in what match in what year and where it was at plus where to find it Dave is your guy. I've agreed with him especially when everyone was saying how Nia needed to be fired and he said she needs to be sent to NXT again and kept off TV. However now that Dave isn't the main guy he's become real petty about others breaking news with reactions like denying the report and other things.

Eventually these "ratings boast" Shows as I like to call them wear out and fans get what they are and lose interest. What makes the big 4 PPV's special? It was one of the only times you really ever saw these past talents at. Here and there Reunion shows like RAW 25, SDL 1000K etc is special but to do a BS Reunion show for simple ratings people are gonna see right through the Bull####. Maybe they bring in 250K more viewers then they will regularly but they will have ratings drops by the hr once people realize its the same boring RAW as the week before but this time we're bring the olds farts out of the nursing home and bring a racist or two along for the ride.

That's where I'm at too. Most of these guys are far past in-ring action. So what do we get if no matches? A bunch of typical WWE D-grade comedy skits.

Hard pass for me.

Holy #### I just finished Moxley vs Ishi and Moxleys comments in the back "My wife is gonna be so Pissed. She hates chairs and tables. Not my fault, Ishi started the whole thing." LMFAO!!!!!

I didn't watch WWE during her tenure there. I regret this.  :bag:
She was on the ECW WWE version the most forgettable WWE at the time. She was in a strip faction with Layla and Brooke Adams. Then She was the storyline BF of Mike Knox who was jealous of her dancing. Brooke  her and Layla ended up with The Miz known then as The Chick Magnet as he bought their contracts based off of his Real World Character. She was also hot for CM Punk back then storyline wise oppressed with him. After going to SD and then RAW she left WWE to pursue some modeling and other stuff. She ended up Marrying at that time Ottawa Senators Defenseman Mike Fischer. They've been divorced since 2017.SHe was also dating Andrew Martin AKA Test for awhile and had split with him a year or so before Martin died of his OD.

Rob Van Dam!!! Whole ####### Show!!! And now The Sarge is here. Oh Hurricane is coming!!!! You Suck Kurt Angle!!!!!

And Sammy Zayne gets buried again

Unpopular opinion: The 24/7 title and segments blow.  They’re like a recurring SNL skit that has been beaten to death, and it makes wrestling look even more contrived and ridiculous than it already is.

It's a subjective artform. I think you'll find plenty of people that share your take.

Steve Austin’s closing speech last night about wrestlers and the wrestling audience being his family was the best promo in the WWE in years because it was real emotion in Austin’s own words rather than a wrestler poorly acting out what someone else wrote for them.
