"Watched" the PPV via Twitter updates while at JerryWorld for my daughter's cheer competition. It's bad that the only thing I want to go back and watch is Seth's Shield cosplay.

Rumor out there is that Shane-o-mac is OUT, LET GO, TERMINATED OR INVOLUNTARILY SEPARATED from WWE.

Vince Let him go as he took major heat for the Men's rumble including making changes too it. He also blatantly and publicly threw creative members under he bus (Good for Shane because they suck). Word is he was let go and once the heat from this dies off he'll be back again. Rumor is he was suppose to be injected in the Austin Theory storyline and wrestle him at Mania as Shane wanted to put one young wrestler over at Mania

It’s official: Brian Kendrick is nuttier than a fruitcake.

I love how Kendrick couldn't wrestle on AEW Wednesday but most of the accounts tweeting and retweeting about Kendrick's Um Decision making were WWE fan accounts. It's just funny how when these people are in WWE they have zero issue with their past but the minute they try and go to another promotion they try and tear them down.

Not saying I agree with Kendrick's opinion but just think its bad behavior for people who went after him like that.

So TK Made an annoucement that there will be a new Debut on Dynamite this Wednesday walking in through ""The Forbidden Door." Right now most think it might be a former WWE talent but I think it could be someone from a partner promotions. Lets just assume it's a former Released WWE talent.

Released Nov and can FA

Keith Lee/Mia Yim (I'd presume they are a package deal at this point)

Kross

Harry Smith (Form Killer Elite again with Archer eventually big Hart Tournament guy too

Ember Moon

Note: Teagen Nox, Morrison Isiah Swerve and Drake Maverick were all released 18th of NOV so contracts not up for 2 more weeks. Jeff Hardy was released in Early Dec so he has another month left

Still Not signed and was released

Bray Wyatt

Killian Dain

Tyler Breeze

Braun Strauman

As for other promotions I could see a NJPW person come to AEW who can't get over to Japan and in the US right now, Someone from NWA or DDT. A few weeks ago when they teased a new house of black member it was obvious it'd be Brody King. This one is a little tougher

Wait, are we supposed to believe now that a wrestler beating Shane bleeping McMahon now is giving them a rub?  I mean, props to Shane for putting his body at risk like he does, but he's basically a glorified spot monkey.

I don't think we have to worry about Shane for a while, to be honest. I would bet a paycheck he's not at Mania this year for sure.

When TK makes an announcement like this, it's going to be somebody big.  Nobody's getting jacked up to see Dain, Breeze, or Smith, and they don't fit the hype being given.

Juice Robinson is a possibility as his NJPW contract is up, but he's been working Impact so I'd be hard pressed to see a situation that makes him move.  If I was to pick from this list, it's Wyatt, Stroman, or Lee.  Nobody else is moving the needle.

He won't be at Mania but he;'s one of the few big names in WWE who has no problem helping getting a younger star over.

Forgot to add but apparently Jeff Hardy's 90 day no compete is up already. I think he got a 60 day instead of a 90 if it's already up

Also I think Juice is resigning with NJPW anyway.

Sounds like a lot of indy wrestlers. Do you know how many times I hear from people so and so who works for this company owes me money for an event we booked. Half the time its because they booked someone who was known to not be reliable and paid them partial or half in advance. So thats on them.

Either way I don't know what was agreed here or other promotions. I've heard of deals where we'll agree to a percentage of the  booking or your fee up front and if you do wrestle you get the other half but the wrestler keeps the half already given to them if they cancel last minute or something. But that seems more of a thing the bigger indy companies do who can afford that. I don't know what was personally agreed to here but either way that sounds more like a them problem for booking a guy who's been unreliable in the past.

Sounds like a lot of people in the reddit are saying what I said. Also I do like Launderdale's response he's not my responsibility what he agrees to outside of my company and I can't babysit every promoter. Also someone brought up the timing of this reddit and the dudes Facebook says this was tweeted at 10:52 last night. GCW announced Gage's contract yesterday. This guy has been trying to get in contact since July with Gage? by Sept if the show was in OCT Id have tweeted something not waiting till now. The promoter sounds like he wants to play victim after being scammed by a known untrustworthy person and try to get internet sympathy. Reddit he says a former promoter yet on the tweet he shows online he acts like he's still working there.

A lot of this just isn't making sense. I feel bad someone lost 400 but when you give it to an unreliable person it's hard to say he's SOL there.

I have no idea who is showing up on Dynamite tonight, but I can guarantee that Wrestling Twitter is going to say it sucks and should have been someone else.

I'm hearing HHH. Never happen though

yeah they basically ####ted on the OP and numerous wrestling companies have gone to defend Brent Launderdale and GCW here. Others are questioning this guy who says he's a former promoter for this company to do this the same day GCW announced a new exclusive contract for Gage when this guys event was in OCT of 2021?

People aren't defending Gage as much as they are making fun of this guy thinking he'd be able to go online and get Victim sympathy. Everyone's like we know he isn't reliable yet you took the risk knowing. Thats on you.

So I'm in AC for Dynamite and Holy S****!!!!!!!!! This place just erupted for Jay White and now Keith lee is here!!!!!!!!!!!! My buddy got last minute tickets and we left around 5;15. Takes about 1hr and 20 mins for us to get there from my house. So we won't be making it home till 1am tonight the earliest. We might go to the casino for an HR but honestly this isn't the boardwalk Empire AC and it's pretty warn down. We're thinking going down to the casino and maybe putting money on the SB for Sunday.

I don't even think either one of these guys is who TK wanted. Fans here are thinking it's whoever Punk takes as his tag Partner and others speculating it's something else.

MOXLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AC loveds MOX!!!!! GCW runs here constantly when Mox comes to town. He won the GCW Heavyweight Title in AC If I'm not mistaken from Cardona

GCW Chant broke out to start this match too. never thought I'd be at a mainstream wrestling show where a GCW chant broke out. ECW yeah but not a GCW.

scratch that Totally forgot about Rampage taping after dynamite so I won't be home till after 2AM maybe closer to 3am!!!! Luckily I don't have work till later in the day . one of the reasons I said I'd go was I had work later tomorrow.

OMG I think I know what's happening. Cole brought in White and we're going to re start the Bullet Club Civil War. Cole was fired by the Bucks and Kenny from Bullet Club. Story line is Bucks didn't know Cole brought in White for "back up" for them. They will screw them on Rampage or sometimes in the near future.

You can assault your opponent with deadly weapons, conspire/collude with evil partners, deconstruct the area of combat and make it look silly, and commit gross attempted homicide.  But don't you dare stay outside of the "ring" more than "10" seconds.

It ain't WWE.  It ain't good, either.

How long have you been watching wrestling?

Just curousios how long and what wrestling have you watched? NJPW is kind of similar with their laxed rules.

Also I wanted to comment its nice to see some people trying to stop the stereotype of addiction. Jail time does nothing and the prison system is a for paid and is nothing more then a legal slave labor for the government to get cheap labor. Many systems are for profit prisons. Addicts shouldn't be in jail for this but sent to some sort of rehab facility etc. I think if we chawed the medical field to help this as well we'd have a better response to addicts. I've had several friends and family addicts some no longer with us and spent time in prison. It doesn't do a dam thing.

We need to do better. Go after the dealers and if people OD on their stuff they should receive the death penalty no questions asked. Be harder on the dealers of the drugs but we all know that won't happen because the FBI/CIA etc all have their hands in the drug trade. But this is a topic for a different thread and politicsl forum not the Wrestling thread. I just wanted to commend and give props to those in that thread who are trying to stop the sigma. Itt's not always their fault. Rough child hood and other things out of their control can lead to this. Some are born addicts do to a drug addicted mother who uses during birth or pre birth alcoholic. Had a coworker who was born with this problem and still has a problem with it today. Unfortunately she doesn't have the right people around her right now.

Looks like I was wrong here. Keith Lee and Jay White scratched enough itches that it's getting pretty positive reviews on WT.

Come on, you know that was just silly.
I'm just saying countouts have been a thing forever.  WWE, AEW, and I believe Impact all have 10 counts.  NJPW and RoH have 20 counts.  It - in kayfabe - is designed to keep the action in the ring unless it's falls count anywhere.  Is it consistently applied?  We both know that's not the case.  Countouts matter when the promotion wants it to matter.

Of course they have.  And maybe if both guys weren't draped in bloody masks it wouldn't have seemed so ridiculous.  So no dq, but count outs matter?  Laughable dumb.

Not like I REALLY care, obviously, but it was the first full AEW match I've watched in a while.  Made me roll my eyes is all.

WWE forgets its own rules though. Sometimes they abide by them and then other times they are so laxed when they do use them in a storyline it's laughable. I feel NJPW does a good job of consistency. they are more lenient on big matches like the title matches and don't seem to be in the business of a draw or count out etc unless its a Yano match or something where it makes sense.

Most are excited with the Jay White thing because we might finally start up the BC civil war story line and give it the finish it deserved. The Elite all left (contracts up) before NJPW could finish that the right way.

Cole and White never had an exchange besides a match here and there. Cole was kayfabed murdered by Kenny and the Bucks to bring in MeToo'd Marty Scrull. Cole realigning with the Elite makes zero sense the same way The Good Brothers aligning themselves with the Elite did. Bucks didn't know Cole called Jay in for back up and setting doubt in. I mean come on we all know this is leading to Cole turning on them and Kenny I think should be back soon if not by Revolution and they could then get into a White/Omega feud match for Double or Nothing.

And once NJPW opens its boarders up we can then have the full fledge assault in both AEW and NJPW. G.O.D is in the states and depending the relationship of AEW and IMPACT maybe Chris Bey is involved somehow. Maybe Hangman gets back involved and they tease Cody getting involved which could really get heat on Cody. Tons of outcomes with Jay too. I could see Jay also helping Cole win the Title vs Paige and Kenny coming in to save him from a beat down and realign the Omega and Hangman. Tons of ways to do this too. I know I'm getting too deep into my fantasy booking here though

The NJPW Reddit seemed to like the White appearance too and a few have suggested some of this as well.

I remembered this in the shower this morning.  That was a Texas Death Match.  It wasn't so much a countout as being unable to continue.  Sometimes, if both wrestlers are down in the ring, the ref will start a 10 count.  If neither one gets up, they'd both be counted out.

In Wednesday's match, Page did not have to scoot back into the ring.  The fact that Archer couldn't get up after the 10 count is what ended the match.

Also a Texas Death match can be similar to a last man standing. I believe another way to win which TNA used for this match was a 3 count pin but the wrestler pin had a count to 10 to answer before a winner is declared. AEW essentially had a last man standing match but called it a Texas Death match.

Matt Cardona -- New NWA Champion

Impressive what he's done as the hottest name in the indies. Actual independent contractor.

I watch NWA less than used to (it's taken a dive due to covid/losses in talent resulting from) but Trevor Murdoch as champ was a terrible choice. Guy is just so lifeless...in promos, demeanor, and not memorable in ring. No clue why NWA wasted Aldis's long ### NWA title reign/story to lose to Murdoch. NWA actually headlined a recent PPV with Mike Knox-Trevor Murdoch and was even worse than it sounds

Love what Cardona (and also Chelsea Green) are doing right now. It's like they took the early Cody Rhodes blueprint for working the independents and adding to it as a working couple.

Trevor Murdoch was not a great choice. They were hoping to get a Dusty Rhodes type story/character, but Trevor is no Dusty. He's not even a good Murdoch.

I would love to see them give Aldis another year long reign. He is 250 days behind Dan Severn for fifth place on most days as NWA champion. Pass up Severn and you only have Thesz, Flair, Race and Funk Jr. in front of you. Pretty good company.

Cardona's schtick is a great follow.

Celebrating his NWA title win at Disneyland Paris.  https://twitter.com/TTDWrestling/status/1492894410320797699/photo/2

Outside of maybe Reigns and Cowboy Brock, creating the biggest buzz/impact in wrestling right now. Got to respect the grind of his marketing and self-promoting

Cody and Brandi Rhodes leaving AEW

Kinda shocking, but maybe not. Cody probably looking at Cardona and saying, "Yeah, that was fun."

To quote Bruce Pritchard quoting JR, "Go away and learn a new hold." Cody showing up at the Royal Rumble would have broken the Internet, but if he shows up at WrestleMania, with a good story to tell, that is lasting.

Or you know, just show up on Impact, New Japan, GCW and NWA.
