Also tried watching some of mania and just couldn't get into it at all. Seth and Becky seemed to be getting punished for Becky's comments on Stone Cold's pod about "since my baby was born Wrestling isn't my first priority anymore." Vinny Mac is not a fan of that type of talk. If the Business isn't your first priority you become useless to him.
It's true. Have you ever heard the Russo story when, and I don't remember every detail, but essentially Russo was like asking Vince for a short break/mental vacay to be with his family and at the time, young kids...and McMahon is like "I pay you enough, can't you just hire a nanny?" Dude didn't gaf at all lol.

Saw some YouTube clips of the Knoxville/Zayn match just because I couldn't believe what I was reading and how Sammy lost. What pure utter garbage that was. I'm embarrassed for Sammy and if I was in his position I'd had walked out of the company. The comedy was up Vinces alley and I got no issue with the JA crew but theres wrestling comedy done right and done wrong and that was the latter.

I'm no means a defender of Kenny wrestling a broom stick but I do enjoy the comedy matches that Yano puts on in NJPW. Yano is a good ring wrestler but is comedy gold for NJPW. Plus the scenes he does in the ring make sense more times then not.

However Zayn is just too good in the ring to be subjected to the comedy stuff all year round. WWE is wasting great talent. I loved NXT Sammy now he's not even taken seriously. Renew the Rivalry vs KO or have them Reunite and form their tag/stable again. Zayn needs to be made GREAT AGAIN. This is just typical WWE wasting someone's talent so they don't outshine certain other talent they want.
You were not the audience for that match...just saying.

I swear I haven't heard this much talk about WWE since the Austin/Rock years. I've heard it talked about on two differnt sports radio stations (which, for one at lest, is a first) and I've heard people sharing their favorite parts of Mania at bars, restaurants, at work... insane. And every single comment I've heard was along the same lines... Mania was spectacular, fun to watch, and the most entertaining it's been in years. I 100% share that sentiment. So much flippin' fun.

Then I come here....

Vince Russo is actually suggesting this about Becky and Seth too now

Had the complete opposite. None of my friends or coworkers is really talking about it. Most are wondering when the Next AEW show is and there's a group of us planning on going to the Phily show later this month. NJPW announced a show at the old ECW arena that many of just heard about with some really great talent apparently showing up this time. I missed out but IMPACT at tapings at the old ECW arena in the last month FRI/SAT night and knew people who went both nights. Many were happy to see the return of ROH which was started in our city too. Those who did watch Mania came away unimpressed or asking WTF happened to WWE?

Then again most of my friends and I aren't WWE's target audience anymore. We grew up in the attitude era watched Monday Night Wars and attended the ECW shows with our dads. When we got older started getting our own money and transportation we'd go to CZW, CHIAKARA, CZW, ROH shows. Any show in the AC area along in Philly, Allentown, Delaware and NJ. Sometimes depending on the show go up to NYC. After Ruthless Aggression most of us were on and off WWE till Punk came around and then NXT. Started getting into NJPW during the original Bullet Club and went back and started watching old Japanese wrestling.  Punk Left WWE was getting really boring and we did NXT. tried watching RAW/SDL when our favorites got called up and realized unless Vince liked them they had no shot. Besides the four horse women nobody was great other then The Sheild and Wyatt Family. We loved Danielson too. Saw many of our favorites become jokes like KO and Zayn, Nakamura become Funaki 2.O, We watched IMPACT for the Hardy Family stuff and excited for them in WWE only for Vince not to get it and stop that. Watched them destroy the Fiend.

Reigns is really the only good thing with WWE with the USOs and the only reason that happened was because Vince didn't take the Pandemic serious and Roman is high risk do to his previous leukemia. He threatened to quit and join Moxley in AEW as AEW would give him the heel persona he wanted and Vince wasn't budging. Vince finally caved in and you see the results now. And it only happened because Roman threatened to leave to join his best friend in AEW.

Most of my crew has moved on from WWE and anyone one in the crew that watches it religious anymore gets a good ribbing. Only coworker who really watches it is this one guy in his 5O's but he's too cheap the buy the PPV's nor would he know how to work the network. Always free loaded off of us which is how he watched any PPV for almost a decade.

In other words I WON'T READ IT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T AGREE WITH MY OPINION AND DO NOT WISH TO HAVE A HEALTHY DEBATE WITH OTHERS. .

That's not true sir. You know you sometimes, often, go long, and it's mostly about your experience in your small bubble of friends and experiences. Sometimes the conversation goes in another way. Sometimes it's like the Zayn/Knoxville match.

:lmao:  Triggered Money Mark

Watching his implosion is the best fun they produce. Even the talent he's paying won't defend him on this. JFC have thicker skin. Dixie had no clue how to run/market a wrestling company but even she wasn't this type of embarrassment on social media.

It's been talked about in the past though so he's not saying nothing new. Just saying it to more mainstream audience. People audit Ryback and found that over 75% of his followers were just bots. People buy followers on social media and companies do use bots to spam better PR for them. A few wrestling pods I've listened to over the last few yrs have mentioned or suggested WWE does this as well. One of the pods I listen too mentioned this awhile back when they audited Ryback on Twitter.

So this is nothing new. Might sound petty but it's true.

He's the laughingstock of the business right now. "Everyone that doesn't like my product is a bot!!"

Was on twitter and someone popped up on my time line talking about The Wrestler with Mickey Rourke and the soundtrack. I remember the extras and a few others were some wrestlers I knew either personally or knew already. Afa of the Wild Samoan's Trained Rourke for the movie and WWE promoted it with Y2J heel talking about legends and disrespecting them and Rourke. It's still a great movie too

It has to be said: given his history of being a scam artist, it wouldn't surprise me if this was a scam to get money out of people, especially since he threw up two links which scream "give me money."

Was going to post something similar. You just said it a little better. Virgil is the definition of a ring carney if I ever saw one. He's burnt a lot of bridges by this point most won't feel bad for him if true and won't believe it right away

All of what you've said is true; I wouldn't argue that.  I'm only sharing what he said.  Whether he gets the benefit of the doubt is up to each of us.

Adam Scherr (fka Braun Strowman) and Britt Baker will be on opposing teams at the Three Rivers Charity Softball game in Washington, PA on July 16th. It will be Team Pittsburgh vs. Team World.

And yes, I have my ticket.

Dude isn't the most liked among Indy wrestlers and fans and IWC. First the comments when with WWE during the pandemic about Indy wrestlers needing real jobs now and then he gets into it with Buff Bagwell who made a joke about CNW and goes off on anyone about it. He's also talking smack on other companies. Dude thought he had a job for life with WWE talked a lot of #### and now is reaping the rewards of that. This is a guy who once a while ago with Alexa Bliss took the time after Elimination Chamber a group of WWE wrestlers went out to grab some food. Seth Rollins completely ignored this young fan and Alexa Bliss and Scherr took care of the fan when Seth was being an ###.

Now Scherr wonders why he's not with IMPACT/MLW/NJPW/AEW/etc. Thought he was better then he was and asking for too much money. And pissed off a lot of people in the industry.

Alexa Bliss frustrated with WWE creative where have we heard that before? She has voiced her displeasure with Vince himself. Bliss married Ryan Cabrera recently and is on her honeymoon right now

Regardless, if I can do a meet and greet with him, I'm going to shake his hand, call him champ, put him over and get a picture.

Jack Evans announced AEW didn't renew his contract. He commented to 2 fans arguing and acknowledged one of the things AEW does really well is they won't release you with time left on a deal and will just let it run out. I liked Jack in ROH and then saw a few AAA matches. Watched him with Angelico in Lucha Underground and had high hopes when they joined AEW and thought they'd be one of the forces. In retrospect Jurassic Express got major popularity instead.

I had a longer post here for this but for some reason it never posted. Either way if I was an Indy wrestler I wouldn't because he showed myself and others a major lack of disrespected. He basically tweeted something the typical WWE kool aid drinkers would tweet. Then when he final lost his job he realized how much that tweet played into him not finding work and has to wrestling for a company with other has-beens and promotions unwanted players. Continues to talk smack on other promotions and wonders why he isn't signed by them?

Dude lack a lot of empathy and respect for the wrestler with his current behavior. He's a nobody without a Wyatt family gig he had. Either way if I saw him at a show as another wrestler I'd go up to him and tell him why his act is so wrong and this is why no one would signed you of the other companies. Willing to give Braun benefit of the doubt as he's never been on the Indies and all he knew was WWE. They probably fed him a lot of BS and stroked his ego with how great WWE is and the place to be and you're on top of the world. Willing to work with him and have him earn my respect again. This isn't Seth Rollins commenting to Osprey as Seth worked Indies before WWE and should've known better.

To put it this way WWE is like the parent who teaches their kid bad faith, racism and how to horrible treat people different from them. Kid finally goes out on his own and realizes no one doesn't like him now. A few people realize kid hasn't been away from his environment he was raised in till now and are willing to work with the kid to fix his issues. Same thing here. Braun's never been on the ideas, was fed a lot of BS by WWE for yrs etc. Comes out into the real world where he's not as popular in the IWC territory and it's a bit of a shock.

Birthday Weekend just got a whole lot more interesting.

Cody Rhodes helps local Wrestling fan in Philly

T:DR: A kid in my city Philly lost his brother who he watched wrestling with. He lost his brother on a Friday and sent a tweet during rampage how it was helping him get through it and watching it with his nephew who was his brothers son. Cody saw it offered his condolences and asked if he wanted to attend a future show near him. Anyway Cody left for WWE and the show he was suppose to go to was the Philly Dynamite tonight. He mentioned something on twitter about probably not going since Cody was in WWE now a few days ago. Cody sent him a tweet asking him which show, the venue etc. Mins later dude had Tickets for tonight and Cody got him tickets to the Trenton WWE Sat Night Main Event next month as well.

The story also talks to local wrestler Adam Cole who shares a few words about family involvement in wrestling as well. Really cool of Cody to do this despite being with that Stanford company. Sounds like WWE allowed it as it was the right thing to do and if Cody couldn't do it WWE would look bad not allowing Cody to help out or only allow him to attend a WWE show. From what I heard both companies worked out an agreement where both companies agreed to set him and the nephew up with Tickets.

In a more guaranteed to enrage the IWC, Sammy G and Tay Conti won the AAA Mixed Tag Team titles last night at Triplemania XXX.

Had downtime in front of the TV this weekend and ended up watching a lot of YouTube videos from a guy (Omega Jake I think), that played out myGM mode on WWE 2k22 with different variations (only tag teams, only NXT/WCW/jobbers on the roster) and try and beat the computer. This guy put more thought into long term booking/roster management/schedule logistics than WWE has done in some time.

I found out about this today.  This happened a full decade before I started watching wrestling, but it's wild nonetheless.

January 31, 1974 during a Steel Belt Wrestling event in Cleveland, Ernie Ladd and Johnny Powers were going at it.  Then, Ox Baker comes in and starts heart punching Ladd - which in the day was sold as being able to give someone a heart attack.  With kayfabe being alive and well, the fans lost their minds, and started a riot.  This makes Bash at the Beach with the Hogan heel turn look like a church picnic.
