World Wrestling Entertainment has now locked down the trademark rights to several past ECW events, by filing ownership to several phases with the United States Patent and Trademark Office back on August 11.

The terms included “Cyberslam”, “Hardcore Heaven”, “Barely Legal”, and “Massacre on 34th Street”, which were Extreme Championship Wrestling PPV events.

Go Shiozaki reported today that he has had to take legal action over a stalker. The police, NOAH and a lawyer are All allegedly involved with the situation.

Shiozaki says it has been going on for a while, and that this threatens not only his own safety, but his family’s safety, and that is something he will not tolerate.

Fightful reports an argument took between CM Punk and Jack Perry just before the debut of AEW Collision.

Punk took issue with a spot that Perry planned on performing during an early episode of "Collision," which took place during AEW's tour of Canada. Apparently, Perry wanted to use real glass in a backstage segment, and Punk immediately pushed back against the idea as it was a safety hazard. Punk believed Jack was doing this to get hurt and get out of coming in to work next week.

Tony Schiavone and others reportedly also objected to Perry using the glass.

The exchange led to an argument between Punk and Perry, with Perry reportedly upset about his plans being nixed.

Afterward, the company reportedly initiated guidelines to ensure that no performer used real glass without receiving permission from the office beforehand.

Furthermore, Punk reportedly told Perry that "Collision" doesn't have segments of that ilk and advised him to stay on "AEW Dynamite" if he had a problem with it.

While many people in the locker room described the situation as an argument between the pair, Punk's side claimed that Perry threw a tantrum.

How would any of this particular report make me think Punk was out of line here? I don't agree with some of his antics but It's clear he's creating a different, more traditional wrasslin show for Saturday night and I'm here for it. This is what I hoped AEW would be from the start :shrug: Sounds like Perry wanted to bring more of the same to Saturday and Punk told him to leave that **** to Wednesday and Friday nights.

When Perry starts driving ticket sales, merch and ratings like Punk, he can open his yap :lmao:
 
WWE Hall of Famer Tammy ‘Sunny’ Sytch has pleaded no contest to DUI, that caused the death of a 75-year-old grandfather of three back in March of 2022.

She was driving on a suspended license at the time and her blood alcohol was .08 when the accident occurred.

Her trial was scheduled to begin next Monday, 8/21.

A sentencing hearing is not currently on the court’s docket. When that does eventually happen, Sytch faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison.
 
AEW received just over $100,000 for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre sponsorship last night.

The money was donated to the Maui Food Bank.

As predicted earlier, WrestleOps has confirmed that the AEW Tag Team Championship match between FTR vs. Young Bucks 3 is still on.

PWInsider has also confirmed Cash was not asked to surrender his passport by the Circuit Court today.

There’s currently no restrictions for Cash traveling outside of the country.

Cash has NEVER been convicted of a hard felony, he will have NO ISSUES leaving the country and stepping across the pond in the UK.

Now, let’s move on from this. As Ian Riccaboni would say, HAPPY WRESTLING EVERYBODY!!!
 
Edge finished up with WWE but wrestleing sources close to Edge abd AEW believe we could see Edge in AEW sooner then later and it’s not as big of a long shot as some think

Not my post found on Facebook today. This is all impressive for a company barely 5 yrs old and at the early stages had to deal with a global pandemic that has put some Indy companies out of business for good

I would hope the global billion dollar company of 60+ years with a constant weekly TV show for 30+ years would be able to generate numbers like that. That should be expected, and it's good they broke their own record. However, it's NOT as impressive as people think because this is the same promotion that lied about their attendance from their last PPV. Still find it chuckling that the week of All In they gotta brag about their record.

The 4 year old company doing it is absurd. That's what's impressive. No one expected All In to sell even 50 thousand. Throw out the tribalism for a second because that event is good for the entire industry. Now WWE is supposedly going to bring Wrestlemania to London according to Cena. AEW's success hinders the WWE in zero ways.

Y'all are weird with this stuff though. Gloating about numbers WWE does is like if a veteran worker of ten years at a job is bragging to the new intern about how they got a promotion and the intern didn’t.

All people want to do is just piggy back with what some lousy journalists, dirt sheets, legends of the business, whoever they want to feed so much hate for this promotion.

AEW being a 4 year old company has had a very positive list of accomplishments.

• 3rd highest ever wrestling gate for Canada

• Sold out Arthur Ashe Stadium in NYC w/ 21,700

• Surpassed a million viewers a dozen times

• At this present time Dynamite has reached #1 on Wednesday nights for 6 weeks in a row and counting.

• All In is set to break Forbidden Doors record by at least 600%

• Adam Cole’s song “All About Da Boom” broke a record from any wrestling company for most downloads via iTunes

• 80,846 tickets sold for All In. Broke the all time attendance record for any wrestling show.

• Has been the #1 top trend tweet with almost every episode of Dynamite

• AEW is the only wrestling company to break records in terms of viewership in the UK. They’re dominating in viewership in Australia as well.

• AEW broke multiple box office records from Forbidden Door

• AEW Revolution broke the record for most amount of tickets sold from any wrestling promotion at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California

• Last gate number for All In is when they were at 45k in ticket sales brought in $8.5 million. At this rate the gate could be close to $15 million. Depending on final ticket sale numbers for All In and All Out, merch and PPV buys, AEW could get nearly earn over $20+ million in total revenue.

Mind you this ain’t a dig here, I’m just shooting facts that people seem to forget. The reasons that people give me for why they hate AEW is just because “oh it’s sucks” or “the company is a joke” without any other explanations. To me, that doesn’t make you a fan because you’re the same people who was BEGGING and PLEADING another wrestling company. Now that you’ve that, you’re so quickly wanting it to die so bad. Why?! Oh well, I got my positive opinion and you’ve your negative opinion.

Per Mike Johnson WWE employees are scrambling to get ahead and look for new jobs. Endeavor takes over officially in Sept. others who I talked to said expect a bloodbath while some just aren’t sure how many employees and talents will be done for.

Morale backstage us low again and numerious talents in the women division are upset with the direction of the division currently
 
The Endeavor takeover of WWE is expected to take place by the end of next month.

PWInsider reports some high up sources believe it could take place by the middle of September and noted that almost immediately, you can expect to hear of employees departing.

There is a sense of doom and gloom among some WWE employees already as the feeling is that if you aren't in the production studios or directly involved with WWE Talent, you could find yourself on the redundency list and potentially let go.
 
Edge presented to WWE what it would take to retain his services, but WWE declined to meet his request.

This has sparked a belief within WWE that he is probably headed to AEW and knew at that time what AEW could offer him.

Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda - also known as Bray Wyatt - unexpectedly passed earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.
