10M pounds PENDING MEDICAL

:couch:

Not bad for a second striker. I think hr may even get on the pitch together with Torres every now and again.
This would make for a pretty good transfer summer for Chelsea if this happens. Did Remy just fail a medical with Liverpool a few weeks ago, or was that just a rumor?

Very good signing indeed. Why Arsenal aren't in for him is baffling.

The official report is he failed a medical, no reason was ever given though.

[Conspiracy theorist] Liverpool found out that Balotelli was available before Remy's medical was complete and pulled the plug to go after Mario [/conspiracy theorist]

Hes an interesting piece, thats for sure. 27 Y/O, strong in the air, pace, able to play out wide and is a clinical finisher. He can play alongside Costa or instead of him. Di Marzio is saying price is 7.9M pounds which is a downright bargain. How is his work rate?

Of course this does nothing for my fantasy squad if he doesnt suit up regularly. But Ill let it slide if he bags goals at a better rate than Nando. (Setting the bar low.)

I read it was a heart condition, but you know how those things go.

Also, I thought the squad was closed Maureen? (I've learned to listen to absolutely NOTHING that guy says. At least when he was in Spain, I thought he was slightly amusing. Now he's just an automatic eyeroll.)

Why do people listen/believe coach-speak?

The good ones are trying to disseminate mis-information to get any perceived advantage they can find. Its a lot easier trying to buy a player if publicly you are saying you are not desperate to get someone in.

@TonyBarretTimes: Daniel Agger looks set to return to Denmark with Brondby closing in on a deal to sign the Liverpool defender.

:( :kicksrock:

Pirlo looks like he may miss a month

Blind to United looks like it will be a done deal tomorrow morning. DiMaria very well may start - should be interesting considering how little time he's had there. United with 10 guys out with injuries and this doesnt include Nani out of the club. Wish I could find something that assures me that Cleverly is off United, but sadly he is still there.

I saw for 3m, too. Double :kicksrock: :kicksrock:
Eff the :moneybag:

He said he'll only leave Liverpool now for Brondby, I love it. Could have forced a move last season to Barca, didn't. Could likely leave for more than 3M to another team in England, won't. Liverpool are also willing to take less than market value to let him go home. Class on both sides in the money age. DAgger

Now just give Cleverly and Young away for peanuts.

Sounds like Vidal is staying put. The talk about Cavarlho is interesting. I'd like to see it but would rather have a quality CB - not sure if there are any available though.

Also for those talking about wages, looks like Nando will take a pay cut

Chelsea will pay €2m per season of Torres' wages over the two years, with Milan providing the other €4m [CdS]. #CFC

Good luck Nando!

ADM looked good, the back 3 plus Fletcher have been crap.

Put Valencia at RB, take Young off (and don't tell him how to get back to OT), put Rooney and ADM wide and give Mata some space and targets. Tell Fletcher and Jones to sit in front of the back four and try not to screw up.

2 points from Swansea, @Sunderland, and @Burnley.

Even the most pessimistic Man United supporter had to expect more from that group of opponents to start the season.

I get continuing to start with 3-5-2 if that's your philosophy on how to play but when it's not working and you need 3 pts I think you had to change things up.

I'm not sure about Di Maria's stamina. He came off the field a lot for Madrid; 17 times subbed out in 27 starts(7 times before 70min). In the WC he played 4 full games in a row then got a fatigue injury and had to miss the rest of the WC. This smacks of the Mata buy last season(ESPECIALLY if they stick with some sort of three at the back), looks good, fans will fap themselves to sleep and United still won't be in the top four.
First game, cramps and has to come off

He doesn't seem built to be "the man" and play 90 for a team

Yeah, I know. Still sad, though. He was one of my faves.
