Why on earth is Harry Kane not starting every league game?
Its complicated.

He may be the most in-form striker Spurs have, but Pochettino has to balance playing well in all competitions. Right now, I think Kane is most useful to Spurs as the mid-week striker - while many supporters would rather he play on the weekend. The danger with starting him in teh league games is that he has done most of his damage against sub-par opponents. His goal against Villa was really nothing more than a lucky strike, that took a fortunate deflection off the wall. If he starts and struggles, you risk his confidence along with Ade's and Soldado's.

He has a knack for showing up in the right place, but no need to rush him, and I shudder to think what kind of effort Ade might put in if he were demoted to the mid-week squad.

Ade has pretty much sucked this season. I don't know if he's just being lazy as usual, or it's remnants of his malaria, but he needs to be on the bench every week.

Honestly, I hope they are just biding time until they can buy a decent PL striker in January. When Ade goes to play in the ACN, he does not need to come back...

I hear Louis Saha is available.

Union set to make a "special announcement" at 11am tomorrow. Assuming the big reveal is Curtin gets the full-time manager gig after that sterling 1-4-3 finish to end the season.

So lets see, todays news and rumors is a plethora of, well, I am not really sure what to call it......

Rojo out 6 weeks

Di Maria for Bale swap

De Gea to RM

J Wilson to get call over RVP

Valencia, Carrick, McNair, Shaw to start v Crystal Palace

Nani may get recalled to United from his loan deal

Anderson contract to be terminated

oh and 1 report that United is bidding on Pique and another defender for January while another report says United is not buying in January?

Are you missing Rebecca in her sleeveless number this morning?

Actually, if you are it's probably a good thing as I think they've mentioned Gerrards slip like 10 times already.

Fun game, a bit too open for my liking. Ramires mustache seems a mistake. If history is a guide, expect LFC to go balls-out the first 15 minutes or so in the second half, Chelsea to absorb and concede for a while and if it's still drawn, the chances will come.

When North Koreans are complaining about the conditions, you have really done some thing special.
The sad part was they were more resigned to it than anything else. God I'm not going to enjoy watching those games if I even feel like it.
I'd love for the USMNT to boycott this completely. #### this ####show.
I wouldn't be caught dead wearing A Barca jersey with Qatar on the front.

I didn't see it live, only some of the comments after, but...

Apparently the keeper can't touch it again once he puts it in play until after someone else does. So when his front foot slipped and touched it the follow up kick was a foul touch.

But the ball wasn't live since it hadn't left the penalty box yet. Therefore it was not an indirect free kick for QPR -- just a re-kick. Basically it's the GK equivalent of a foul throw.
