The Z Machine

I guess Di Maria is OK. That was a nice run, and a nice play by Messi to come deep to take it away.
I never went to a Clásico or a Madrid Derbi unfortunately. The crowds are big though, inside the stadium and out. The plazas fill up with people spilling out of the bars. Pretty much everyone is paying attention. I was around the last time Real won la liga and there were 1 million plus celebrating in the streets until LATE into the early morning. This crowd is insane. Z/Slapdash (or anyone else who has spent time in either of these cities) - did you ever go to this match? How about RM/Atletico, Z? What's it like?
Unreal. That thing had eyes.Better to be lucky then good sometimes
Looks like Barca is both today.Better to be lucky then good sometimes
I was trying to figure out why he never seems to impress me and I guess it's because most of the time I see him play its against Barca. Can't really credit them for containing him today though, he's failed to put in two great chances.Wow. Awful game for Ronaldo.
Literally laughed out loud."Like Bernie Madoff. They couldn't catch him until it was too late."
"Lightning speed counter-attack but with glinting blades like Edward Scissorhands. Barcelona cuts Real Madrid down to size.""Like Bernie Madoff. They couldn't catch him until it was too late."
He pretty much destroys everyone else.Pretty sure this won't do much to quell the Messi-related taunting. He was god-awful today.I was trying to figure out why he never seems to impress me and I guess it's because most of the time I see him play its against Barca. He was unbelievable today - simply brilliant. Every touch had purpose today. He gave Madrid fits all night. Great to get that win in the Bernabeu and plant some doubt in minds of the Merengues.HAIL INIESTA!!!!What a game!
Not to take anything away from our rivals, but luck determined the game today.
I pretty much agree. The Barça second goal was just dumb luck. CRonaldo had 2 open chances to score and blew them both. This should have been a draw. Iniesta was brilliant, and Cesc and Puyol played well, but I thought that Lass and Benzema had very good games as well.LOL at Mourinho.

Mourinho has a point - Barca were more fortunate today, certainly. But then again, the "Special One" has never lost a match for any other reason than bad luck, just ask him.LOL at Mourinho.

@liverayhudson is one of my favorite feeds. Guy is awesome. Makes watching GOL in standard def tolerable.Literally laughed out loud."Like Bernie Madoff. They couldn't catch him until it was too late."

Well played. I'll see you for the next round of Champions League. You'll be at work while I'm free to watch the games live and at my leisure?THE TIDES HAVE FINALLY TURNEDEl Classico tomorrow! Madrid is at home with a 3pt lead and a game in hand on Barca. Ronaldo and Messi both have 17 goals and 6 assists each. Game is on GolTV (which I still don't get in HD)I have a feeling this one will be chippy. Pretty late start at 1PT. Was hoping for an earlier kickoff. Looks like I'll have to dvr it, or take a long lunch break.

They each had a dumb luck goal and each blew some good chances. Yeah, a bone-head play by Valdez was the start of Real's goal, but it eventually took a deflection after a save before Benzema put it in. Not much different than Xavi's goal. The better team won today. Away from home, none the less. Real got out played. Simple as that. No more luck in this one than any other game. And CRonaldo not finishing 2 gimmes? They each had a dumb luck goal and each blew some good chances. Isn't that a crucial part of the game, accurately kicking/heading the ball? I'd call that lack of execution and not bad luck. The Xavi goal was bad luck. And CRonaldo not finishing 2 gimmes? They each had a dumb luck goal and each blew some good chances. He got the first for talking back to the ref which is a pretty rare yellow. The could after gets a yellow 50% of the time. It wasn't a clear-cut yellow, imo. Add the two up and definitely isn't a red.didnt see the game, but should Messi have been sent off? Heard reports it should have been a 2nd yellow....Todays game being dubbed EL Cashico? Saw it on twitter so I cant take credit.
Not IMO. He was booked for dissent. He then clipped a guy, but never left his feet. He was just a little late. Maybe a card if it were his fourth or fifth mistimed standing challenge, but that was probably Messi's first foul other than the dissent. I didn't think either side played dirty, but if it had been called that tight, RM would have finished without their entire midfield. They had twice as many fouls.didnt see the game, but should Messi have been sent off? Heard reports it should have been a 2nd yellow....Todays game being dubbed EL Cashico? I agree. It wasn't a second yellow offense. Although if he didn't have the first, I think it could have been warranted. Remember that la liga reffing is a bit more harsh on the tackling than in the EPL. More fouls, more yellows. BTW, the yellow for dissent was pretty rare, especially for Messi, who's not known as a hothead or a backtalker like that. he must have said something pretty choice to the ref to warrant the yellow.A game like that shouldn't be decided based on a sending off. It gives far too much advantage to one side. I totally agree with the no card there. Not IMO. He was booked for dissent. He then clipped a guy, but never left his feet. He was just a little late. well, there goes thathere's to a 0-0 draw that sees each team finish with 7 players![]()
big fanI really dislike McManaman. I can't believe this is the best ESPN can do.

I guess Juan Mata is an ok player, too.Sturridge just might be the best player on the field not named "Aguero", "Toure", or "Silva".![]()
