Thinking about becoming a fan of a EPL team. Arsenal or Liverpool?
No losers in that choice. The players on Liverpool are better- but Arsenal plays better (more stylishly) as a team (Liverpool is fantastic to watch too)... at least under Wenger. I say Arsenal.

Tough time for Barça. They've been the best team in Europe all year, and now, on the cusp of winning the Spanish triple, they are really really hurting. If Henry is a no-go for the Champions League final, expect to see Bojan or Gudjohnsen in there, which would be a big step down.
Well ####.Barca was already up against it without 3 starters in the back... but no Iniesta? ####. I really wanted to see United and Barca go head-to-head at full strength so there wouldn't be any asterisk marks on this game. That said- all the more credit to Barca if they can pull this off.

Never thought about actually watching them play first. Currently torn between The Beatles (with points off for Tom Hicks) versus the cool ### cannon on Arsenal's crest.

Find a team that doesn't spend a gazillion dollars on contracts. Or just watch the games for pure enjoyment.
This isn't going to work. I'm forcing myself to appreciate the game here. It's a lot more likely that I'll pick a team to follow and go to appreciate the sport than the other way around.
Yeah, I tried the whole "let's pick a team that everyone else isn't rooting for" thing about 15 years ago. I ended up with Newcastle. It could have been worse. I considered Tottenham Hotspur. Why don't you watch a few games and find a player that you enjoy?

If you're looking for the better team, choose Liverpool

If you're looking for the team that's more fun to watch, choose Arsenal

Of course, I'm biased...

Its another reminder of the magnitude of ManU's achievement in 2000/01. I'll definitely be impressed if Barca can win three trophies this season, with the young coach, injuries and all, although I don't believe their Liga silverware is quite as impressive as winning the EPL and the FA cup.

Can;t go wrong with either 'Pool or Arsenal. Both teams are quality.

I would say that Arsenal fans are probably a bit more educated though, and 'Pool fans (Scousers) are a bit more rowdy.

Rowdy sounds more fun. I'm DVRing the replays of Liverpool-West Ham and Arsenal-Chelsea on the Fox Soccer channel later this week. Season's almost over so I need to pick soon.

Well, those probably aren't the best sample sizes...

Can't really go wrong with either, but Arsenal is the correct choice here.

I started following Liverpool after watching some Gerrard highlight videos a few years back. He is easily my favorite player in the World. Adding Torres was awesome. Watching the two play together is simply amazing.

Big midweek games in the Bundesliga today and tomorrow.

Wolfsburg, in first over Bayern by goal diff, host Dortmund today.

Bayern, even on points with Wolfsburg, host Leverkusen today.

Hertha, one point back, play at Köln today.

Stuttgart, two points back, play at Schalke on Wednesday.

Gol TV is showing the Bayern game live at 2 and the Wolfsburg game at 4.

Anybody watch Chelsea v Arsenal?

Now that was the gunners I'm used to watching- at least the parts where they weren't getting scored on. Some flat out brilliant stuff that first half- if not for Walcott's finishing touch (oof) and most of Diaby's, that could've been a blowout in the other direction.

What an intriguing player Walcott is- can single-handedly change EPL defenses, but can't hit the target to save his life (and thisisn't the first time I've seen that from him). I was not a Bendtner fan at all in the first part of the season, but he's grown on me- especially when compared to guys like Diaby. Reminds me of a Bergkamp-lite (still far away from the Dutchman's level, but similar playing style, IMO.

Bendtner's a decent finisher actually....his on-ball skills need some work though.I watched the game. It was ugly.

I'm sold on these two guys after watching the replay. I was leaning Liverpool anyway (Tom Hicks was the only thing holding me back). Just downloaded "You'll Never Walk Alone" for my mp3 player.

Wolfsburg and Bayern both win 3-0 so no change in points or diff. Both are sitting on 63 with two matches left. Wolfsburg is at +30 with 70-40 and Bayern are at +28 with 67-39.Hertha also won to stay one point back.Bayern were doing everything they could yesterday to change the table. They absolutely pelted Leverkusen. Leverkusen's keeper, German keeper Adler, had six saves of shots that were on frame.

Fearless by Pink Floyd as a pretty stirring chorus at the end of the song.

I'm curious to see if Bendtner is with the squad next year. He deserves more first team football, but I'm not sure that he will ever get it at Arsenal(unless Adebayor leaves and they don't replace him of course). If everyone would regain their health, I think they have enough ammunition at all positions to be a special team... except at center mid. They need a Flamini type of player back to play along side Fabregas. Denilson is awful, Song is solid defensively but lost with the ball and Diaby is extremely sporadic. Maybe they think that Ramsey will be that player, but I'm not sold on him either. I'd love to get another look at Jack Wilshere sometime over the final games. Up front, I'd like to see more of Vela... I think he could be special.

Gerrard wins FWA 2009 Footballer of the Year award, deservedly so based on what I saw this season.

Certainly worthy this year.

I think it is time for Adebayor to go. I don't think his style is the best fit for him and Arsenal. Eduardo, Vela, and/or Bendtner would fill in just fine imo (I'm not a Bendtner fan, btw). Use Adebayor's fee to bring in some help elsewhere.

GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED!!!!!

18th title tying the scum at Pool for most all time. Now we can focus on health and fitness for Barca and the CL Final.

I say anyone looking for a team to support go for Everton. Howard is an awesome keeper and they are an up and coming team.
