Blackburn's starting LB, Adam Henley, is 17 years old and was born in the US. He looks pretty solid here so far. *arches eyebrow*
They haven't mentioned why he was born here. Does he have an American parent? His wiki page isn't that helpful
No clue. Maybe NR knows?2-0. :coffee:
I don't know about his back ground at all. I believe he grew up over seas though and is already provisionally tied to Wales as he represented them at the U19 level. That does not mean he could not make the one time switch of course.

I believe Bolton was the last team from the top divisions in Italy, England, Germany, Spain and France to record its first draw of the season.

Just in case I haven't posted this over here, #### the FA a.k.a. Fergie's Angels.

So, Evra was talking to Suarez in Spanish, Suarez replied in Spanish but we're going to interpret that in English and ban him for eight games?

The FA hasn't exactly been kind to Ferguson and Rooney either. I think they are just ridicuously strict on their judgements. I don't know why that is. Perhaps a cultural thing.Suarez knew what he was doing. Evra clearly didn't like being called a "negrito" after the first time, much less the following half a dozen. If Suarez didn't know it was wrong to start with he clearly should have after the initial conversation. Eight games seems tough, but he was always going to get a pretty lengthy ban.

Evra is the only person that heard the word Negrito and heard Suarez say anything more than once.

How can Suarez give the FA an excuse as to why he said the word more than once and what he meant by it and then turn around and denied he said anything? The FA report is pretty clear about what Suarez said to them.

Holy ####....what the #### was that defending from City? :lmao: :lmao:Ji was offside, though...
Think everyone was gassed from the last few charges forward. Great great great finish to the match! But what about the difference Martin O'Neill has made with Sunderland. That was top class organization all game. Amazing how few times City was able to break them down. I expect they will be competing for Europe by next season.

Near perfect weekend for Spurs fans for regarding the teams they are chasing. Now 6 points back in 3rd but have a game in hand over the top 2 teams.

Spurs have a rough schedule though. Have to go to Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Sunderland and Man City. Only big team they host is Man U.

I almost didn't watch any matches this weekend. Now I'm glad I saw them all. EPL games anyway. I did delete the Fulham one because I got spoiled on the result, but Chelsea, ManU, and City? Wow. I'm just glad Spurs got a point.

Yeah, I was just baffled when Sunderland came forward with a 5v3 odd-man rush and the City midfielders didn't seem in any hurry to get back. I know you're gassed, but it's a tied game....you've got one sprint left in you....get back on D...

Wow Lampard just got away with one. That was a nasty challenge and looking at the replay not only was it late but high. I really hate seeing tackles like that and while I know Frank isn't that type of player, he really needed to be sent off for that.

This site collects goals throughout the year and have chosen their top ten. We mentioned some of them already. I forgot about the Dos Santos goal in the Gold Cup final, that was a pretty neat one.http://www.101greatgoals.com/vote-top-10-goals-of-2011/128851/
Robin van Persie (Arsenal) (23%, 165 Votes)Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) (23%, 163 Votes)

Don't get me wrong, that RvP one was niiiiice, but Rooney's game winner has to win...no?

ETA: No offense tasker

Arsenal looking sloppy and tired here at the beginning of the 2nd half, and Ruiz looks consistently dangerous. I have a bad feeling about this half.

Should be a slam dunk really.

Mertesacker should not be losing headers to Dempsey from 6 yards out. Almost makes me long for the days of Philippe Senderos. Almost.

Mertesacker loses out to Dempsey, who then feeds Zamora, who gets taken down by Djourou just outside the box. Second yellow for Djourou, and Arsenal are down to 10 men.I am consistently baffled as to why Djourou (and, increasingly, Mertesacker as well) ever play for this team outside of the League Cup.

Oh great, a real defender checks in for Arsenal....Squillaci on for Ramsey. :X

Man, this is a totally shocking result.
Fulham are tough at home. Actually, I don't think there are many easy away games in this league.
I was kidding. Did you see all of my posts during the second half?
Yes. I thought you were referring to the shock of losing to Fulham given Arsenal's run of form. This is a game they probably should have won.It turns out you were referring to the fact that Fulham were the better team today and being sarcastic.Either way, it was a good game for anyone that isn't an Arsenal fan. Lots of action.

90+3min: GOAL! Fulham 2 Arsenal 1 (Bobby Zamora) Football, bloody hell!
Really not surprising. Arsenal looked like crap for most of the game, Fulham were the better team for at least 3/4 of it. The sad part is that I don't think Fulham were at the top of their game today. Dembele was off his game, Dempsey didn't really do all that much. I thought Ruiz was fantastic and Zamora was dangerous, and it paid off in the end. It's hard to really fault anyone, I think, from Arsenal...the whole team just played poorly. The lack of depth in defense really hurt again...Djourou and Mertesacker just aren't good, Koscielny played poorly and was in no man's land on the 2nd goal. It's hard to fault Coquelin, playing out of position in defense, but he was out of position on that first goal. Szczesny should've done a little better on the first goal as well. I don't understand why they're playing Arteta so deep in the MF. Walcott was nonexistent and Gervinho was running around like a chicken with his head cut off, the way he was just giving away possession. RvP had no service and was invisible. Fulham really had the bulk of possession for the entire second half...I wouldn't be surprised if RvP had less than 10 touches for the entire half.

Yeah....it's a game that any team with title aspirations needs to win. I'm never a confident fan; a lifetime of being a Bills fan will do that to you. Those Fulham goals were always coming...I could sense it once the second half started. I was really impressed with Ruiz's performance today, the guy was all over the place. Fulham deserved it.
