Update on the Flores situation from Junior himself and his dad:

Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio)

Despite reports that US u-17 star Junior Flores has signed a 4-year deal with European team, Flores says in a text that it's not true.

"And no I didnt people are just spreading rumors, but I didnt sign with anybody," Flores said in the text.

Flores has certainly drawn interest from overseas, including from Borussia Dortmund. MLS courted heavily before the draft.

Junior Flores' father, Oscar, says they are talking to three clubs - two German, one English - and wont sign until at least April.

ESPN sure picked an entertaining match to broadcast. A little bit of everything. How many chances can Liverpool blow?

Not only have to miss the game to sit in class all day, have a test, and they lose at home to Arsenal. :wall: Some days you eat the bar, and well, sometimes the bar eats you.

ESPN.com is showing Ream playing in the midfield? Is that really where he is lined up for Bolton? (I am not watching the game).
Yes. He's parked right in front of the two CBs.

Once again Bayern have forgotten that the ball has to go into the net for them to win.

They lost to Leverkusen 2-0 and now are 7 points behind Dortmund.

It would be nice if Robben could hit for his club like he does for Netherlands.

Unbelievable. Play like crap all game, but all is forgiven when you have Marco Van Basten 2.0.
:goodposting: :goodposting: He made that winner look tooooo easy. Incredible goal. Again- I poo-pooed RVP's abilities before the season as being a "good" player who couldn't win games on his own and take the step up to elite level. I'm eating that big red X by the handful.

Not that the strategy helped.
I watched a couple of minutes of that game- the color announcer made some comments about Ream, basically saying he was out of his league on the day.

RvP brings it for real. The dude is stellar and simply makes goals. He has carried Arsenal too where they are today.

Anyone watching Roma/Lazio right now? My wife demanded to watch the Sunday morning news programs this AM.

THought about it- Roma is looking interesting as a squad in transition from old to new players. But then I remembered I don't care about Roman teams.

Ives just tweeted that Spurs have been out scored 8-0 in the last 120 minutes and that Harry Redknapp's defense is getting absolutely taxed right now :lmao: (eta - at the joke, not Spurs misfortune)

I sort of blame Friedel for the first goal. I know tipping the ball over is the safe play and the SOP, but it was just hanging ther with no pace. He could have caught it and instead conceded a needless corner. It's a pet peeve of mine.

I thought he should've caught that too. I wanted to throw my remote across the room soon after.2 straight EPL matches with Spurs playing defense for the other team. It would be nice to not have to qualify for CL next year. That position seemed assured not too long ago.

Thought I DVRed the Spurs v United game. nope.

Deuce w a deuce!

eta- ####### Inter.

It's going to be interesting. Rest of March could be a bit tough, but April looks easier. Of course, the same is pretty much true for Arsenal.

If Di Matteo does well I wouldn't be surprised to see him get the permanent gig. Well, if anyone other than a megalomaniac was in charge anyway.

As someone who has him on my Liverpool team in Football Manager, I'm scared of him going to Chelski in real life.
His buyout clause is reportedly something like, £85m, which causes problems even for someone who is completely insane like Roman Abramovich. My totally uninformed finger-in-the-air guess as to a true market value for Hulk would be maybe £25-30m. I don't think he even made the reserves for Brazil in South Africa, not that there's any great shame in that. With AVB gone, I think it is highly unlikely at this point, but have been wrong many times before regarding such things.

Abramovich is supposedly targeting Guardiola as his first choice. Given that Pep's going year-to-year (and hasn't renewed for next year yet), I don't think money is his biggest concern, which seems to be the only possible advantage of going to Chelsea.

My semi-informed guess it that Mou ends up back at Stamford Bridge next year.

Jozy scored again today. He now has ten in league play. Dempsey up to 12 in league play and 18 in all competitions.
That's very good news. Did jozy start? Against whom? I don't know the depth of quality in the dutch league, so let me know if the opposition was any good.
Jozy started. Played 78 minutesWas subbed after his team was nursing a 3-1 lead and down to ten men after red cardJozy's team is in first (Twente has a game in hand and is only one point behind)The team they beat was Heracles, who is sitting in 11th out of 18 in the Dutch league. I have never seen Heracles play so I can't speak to their quality.

Yeah, I can't see Pep to Chelsea either. Whenever he talks about possibly leaving Barca, he says it's because he isn't sure how long he can take being at such a demanding job. If that's his concern, why would he leave a club he knows inside and out, where everybody loves him, to go work for a crazy Russian billionaire?A Mourinho return makes the most sense if the egos don't get in the way.

Very excited this week.

Two CCL Quarter Final games on Wednesday:

LA @ Toronto

Santos @ Seattle

LA should be favored but the team has yet to play with Landon and Keane in the lineup, and will be playing in front of a sold out 45k at the Rogers Center.

Seattle is facing the uphill climb of no non Mexican team ever having knocked a Mexican team out of the competition combined with Santos being in season where as Seattle is still in preseason. Should be our first look at the last chance season for Eddie Johnson.

Both games on FSC

Then this weekend the MLS season starts in full force with three nationally televised games

Sunday NY @ Dal on NBC Sports Network

Sunday Houston @ Chivas on Galavision

Monday Phili @ Portland on ESPN2
