I just turned this on to see what you are talking about. I don't speak Spanish but these are not the full national sides. I think this is an U20 or U19 tournament. Not sure though.

Not sure if the roster will be the same but Brazil handled Denmark in Germany easily(according to reports) today with a 3-1. Hulk had two.

There must be something with JK and Bradley...Bradley is an automatic start in my mind and JK is really making him earn it, yet loves Jones and other mediocre midfielders...doesn't make sense.

Klinsmann started off losing 4 of his first 5 games.
Since then the US has won 5 straight games.
That may come crashing to a halt on Wednesday against Brasil but it shows that what Klinsmann is trying to implement may be sinking in.

Worst team in the league. Novak really screwed up a good thing in this town. Hopefully not permanently, as Philly's soccer history isn't as rich and deep as other cities. We'll see.

That's the longest interview I've seen with Dempsey. I get the feeling he thinks he is a superior player to Landon and is annoyed that LD steals his thunder as the greatest active American player. I could be wrong, but it feels like that. Went as far to say that Landon is a "great clinical finisher". I wonder if that is a jab in Clint's mind.
I always find it interesting to hear that he and Donovan don't talk much away from the team.

SImply wonderful. Scotland may not be a great test but do we really expect the USA to dominate the games they should?
First 45 - Great pressure put on Scotland and the transitions were quick and impactful. Bradley was the best man on the pitch IMO. Torres looked at home in a defensive winger role. However, his touch the same as most Americans was pretty rough for large portions of the half. Edu in particular could not connect with his teammates. Yet, they finished the initial chance and Bradley's goal was obviously tremendous.
Second 45 - Pure domination. The pressure linked with beautiful touch and teamwork. No weak links and hitting on all cylinders. It was just a joy to watch.

It was really interesting seeing the constant triangles and ticky-tack passing between Torres, Bradley, Jones and/or LD and Edu. That's a brand new look to my eyes versus the usual more direct route.I loved how much it opened up the attack, but wonder where the Scottish defense was against it. I don't see most teams letting the US have that much space/time to play those short balls so consistently... not to take anything away from the movement, work and interchange between the US players, but I think this was a bit of a mirage.And Torres- good game, but there far too many 2 yard passes that did nothing for my liking... especially when he had time to turn on many of them.'NewlyRetired said:

Hmmm... I saw a lot that did that, and lot that kind of handcuffed his 2 yards away teammamtes.One thing about him too- he was overcommitting defensively tonight. Diving into tackles and passing lanes... it worked out on the night fantastically, but I wonder if that kind of all or nothing defensive presence is what kept in BB's dog-house? Definitely made me nervous out there, and could get torn apart against better teams.
