Listened to United/New Castle (4-3) and Tottenham/Villa (4-0) at the moment. Planning to watch the Liverpool/Stoke game that will end up being a 0-0 bore fest. Jesus I hate Stoke :wall:

Bet on Stoke today

You guys want to hear an interesting fact? Darren Gibson has only lost 4 premier league games in games he has started. And, you'll have to forgive me if I'm wrong here, as I am getting conflicting reports and don't feel like looking it up, but he has never lost a premier league game in which he has played a half of soccer for EFC. That's not too shabby.

:goodposting: Stoke and Everton only two clubs in EPL not to have lost at home this year (yet).

Whom ever the US has who is responsible for bribing FIFA sucks at his job.

Special 16-team 2016 Copa América in US did not get put on FIFA calendar recently as organizers hoped. Source-"50-50 chance" it will happen.

Bayern and Barca are both around -5000 to win their respective leagues. PSG and Juve are in the -600 to -700 range. Man U is -250 to -275.

Not shaping up to be that dramatic of a new year, at least as far as league titles go.

Cardiff City is now 5 points clear at the top of the Championship table. If they get promoted will this be the first time ever that 2 teams from Wales were in the EPL?

For those that like a small glimpse of the future, this is an interesting selection by Ives for his best U23 US team.

7 Union players between the 23 man roster and the missed the cut section. Glad to see Gaddis get a mention, he's raw still but he filled in nicely at RB at various points of the season. Danny Cruz? Yeah, I'm not seeing it. Hustles but is IMO technically very poor, which in MLS is saying something.

I need to see much more of Joe Benny play. People are very high on him but from the few games I saw him play I was not wowed. I am also not a Will Bruin fan. I give him credit for getting every last ounce of ability of out his Connor Casey like skill set but god I hope Agudelo improves because he has so much more to offer than a player like Bruin. Keepers also scare the heck out of me here. Luckily they have some time to mature. 16 months ago or so, if someone had made an U23 list where Brek Shea missed the cut, I think no one would have believed it, but it is probably fair. It is amazing how much different that U23 team is from the one that failed to qualify for the Olympics. I am surprised that Joe Gyau does not show up anywhere on the list, even in the "missed the cut" section.

Wahl tweeted yesterday that both Portland and Seattle are willing to put down grass for the June time qualifiers. Although he then further mentioned Seattle might have issues concerning a scheduling conflict with the University of Washington graduation.

The two home June qualifiers are against Panama and Honduras.

Panama can be put anywhere but Honduras would be perfect for the Pacific NW.

I think EJ has earned it. Plus both Altidore and Torres haven't lit the world on fire (these are the two positions that EJ has played effectively for the USMNT)

I figure he was a lock for the January camp since it will be full of players who will not play against Honduras. Hopefully he performs well and gets the call for the qualifier. ESPN2 will be showing the US Canada friendly which will I believe end the January camp.

Not saying he won't sign. Saying he sucks. How do you want to quantify that?
Goals
In. Talking Sturridge, Cletius.
Who wants to set the O/U on goals in 2013? GPJ?
bump
Would Sturridge be playing alongside Suarez in a 4-3-3? I assume he'd be getting a lot of first team action. If we just count league games, for the calendar year of 2013 and assuming he gets transferred, maybe 9?

I'll take the over, excepting significant injury.

Nice blog article on another Liverpool target, Tom Ince-http://www.tangerinedreaming.com/tom-ince-the-lowdown/
Interesting that he came from Liverpool in the first place:
Tom Ince (20) signed for Blackpool from Liverpool in the summer of 2011 and in just over a year he has grown with each game he has played and is now one of Blackpool’s key attacking weapons. In his first season he scored 8 goals and made 8 assists in 41 appearances. This season he already has 13 goals, 9 assists in 20 league appearances.
I suspect Liverpool will have to fork over a lot more than they received for him just 18 months ago.

The comments indicate Liverpool has a 35% sell on fee, so that will save them some off the top.

CorrectIt seems to be a wierdish loan deal. Sold him with buy back(not 100% sure on this one, speculation) / sell on clauses attached. He REALLY wanted first team game time but Dalglish wasn't having any of it. Ince rejected Liverpool's contract offer(would have been highest paid non-first team player) and was sold. So he wasn't sold just to sell and then now being brought back in.

Let's see.......Barcelona and it's infinite variety of entertainment and excellent weather, adoring colossal crowds at every game, already got more money than God versus packing up the family to play at some godforsaken craphole in Russia?Hmmmmmm. Not difficult.
Yeah, I think way more money was the only thing that Anzhi offered. And Barca re-signed Messi to a new deal, which gets him closer to that. Cheeky, though. Very cheeky.

It's just silly how good Robin van Persie is. The fact that he can get such power and movement on the ball in that situation...truly a testament that he's one of the world's best.

How does a linesman miss someone a yard offsides in the middle of the field?

The tight ones with obstruction are tough, but you have to get the easy ones.

Bale looked aghast at the official's decision which means all of his five cautions this season have been for diving – more than any other player in the Premier League.

:lmao: :lmao:
