16 year-old Gedion Zelalem was on the bench for Arsenal today. He is a German citizen of Ethiopian descent who lived for 6 years in Maryland/Washington DC from ages 9-15 before moving to London last year, per Washington Post. Sounds like he was born and raised in Germany prior to moving to the US, but unlike the other Germans on the USMNT, his parents are not American citizens.

Here's an article about how no one seems to have any idea whether he may be eligible for the US someday.

I'm not sure he'll have the stats to back it up, but I just like the way that the front line of Liverpool plays with Aspas. The ball moves to the right places. The right runs get made. They lack the magic with Suarez there, but the ball movement feels more fluid to me.

This was always going to be a tough game for Villa though, with three games in a week (Moyes should be shot for complaining about his opening schedule when Lambert had Arsenal away, Chelsea away, and Liverpool at home in the first seven days). "Tony Moon" for 1.5 million pounds is looking like the signing of the summer for Villa. Also think that Okore has pretty big time potential even if he was nominally responsible for Sturridge's goal.

I had that exact thought watching the game. Moyes looks like an idiot.

 
Not only is Luca Toni not dead, he also socred two goald today for Hellas Verona to beat Milan 2-1.

Also making the rounds is Roma rejecting Sunderland's bid for Bradley. I would love to see Bradley at Suderland with Jozy. I am getting more and more worried about his playing time at Roma.

 
AFC Wimbledon recovered from an 0-2 halftime deficit to win 3-2 vs. S####horpe. No reports on whether the halftime beer queues were any shorter but I'm sure it didn't hurt the the comeback.

7 points from 4 games so far. I'll take it.

 
I hope Wenger stops screwing around with Cazorla and just keeps him in the middle. Such a different flow to the game with him getting involved from there. He can dissapear when stuck out wide.

One of the best cherry pickers in the world. Bayern beat Nürnberg 2-0 today with goals from Ribery and Robben.

I've been wondering why they've been wearing red so far. Kinda odd to ditch the traditional color.

That's how you win la liga these days. Getting 3 points away from home against better than average teams. You will need 90+ points to win, which means near perfection.

I didn't get to see Atleti play because it wasn't on bein. But 5-0 is nothing to sneeze at.
