That is so bad. They need a lot more than one player.Oh, man. It gets better and better.Panic buy and a ridiculous valuation.

Also don't like his injury history, and he's a box-to-box MF when when they need is someone who's more of a holding MF player.Khediera wanted WAY too much in wages for Wenger to go for him.

That was the play. Not a real chance. But should have looked for the other guy a little earlier or just taken it to the corner at that point in time.If it's the play I'm thinking of, it was 2 vs 3 or 4 (not three quarters, as I first read the above). Jozy did well to beat a guy at MF and attack the space- constantly looking for his teammate. He got himself towards the box, spinning some defenders in the process (who were looking for the pass), teammate still not open (defended by 2 guys) and tried to open himself up for a shot. Defender read him perfectly and stripped him of the ball. Teammate throws his hands up in despair. It was 2 v 3/4 and he didn't look for his companion on the break -- dribbled way too long. But it wasn't a great chance or anything.Twitter said Jozy flubbed a chance late. What happened?
And lol @ the ManU homers that thought they'd be competitive this year.
Also, Xolos on Univision right now. Corona and Garza starting.
IMO, Jozy did the right thing... other than not gettting the shot off. A few minutes earlier, Jozy went into space and played a decent- not perfect- through ball for the same teammate (Wickham?), but the defender beat Wickham to the ball... and was clearly looking for a similar pass during Jozy's entire run above.
Unless it was a different play.

Yeah, but can he play left back?
Ya, definitely a redElche looked a tiny bit dangerous on the break. I think that Barça will try and maintain possession further back and just keep the counters to a minimum. This one ends 2-0, not 4-0 add a result of the red (which was clearly a red).
I saw one tweet from a journalist indicating that he'd become a father the day before. Felt like a gut punch reading that.
It means that on every fax cover page to the Labor Commissioner they write "Opa!" in the Notes section. So Marcos Rojo is facing assault charges back in Argentina for breaking a bottle over the head of a neighbor back in 2010... I wonder how that impacts a work permit...
Good thing ManU is taking their time here and doing due diligence before buying players.

What a way to get your club's first ever la liga goal
So you didn't camp on the field after? Was at the Union game last night, and other than a 10-minute stretch at the beginning of the 2nd half they looked very good. The time off since the Houston game did them well. On another note, PPL is a fantastic venue and I will definitely be back. DOOP!

You seem to have picked a good game to go to as the highlights looked fun. That was an absolute must win for Philly. Had they dropped points to a weak SJ team they might have sealed their playoff fate. Was at the Union game last night, and other than a 10-minute stretch at the beginning of the 2nd half they looked very good. Man U's application for a work permit for Rojo was rejected. Oops, Woodward. They'll appeal.
How close is this guy to the Glazers? Does he predate them or is he "their guy"? United have look like bumbling idiots for over a year now and I'm wondering if Ferguson was basically acting as a firewall against the stupidity of the Glazers.Man U's application for a work permit for Rojo was rejected. Beats me. In Woodward's defense, even if we all know the work permit thing has gotten insane, you've got to think a guy who played every minute in the World Cup (I think?) for a team that played in the final would meet the exceptional talent exception. How close is this guy to the Glazers? He was part of the United marketing/commercial side of things and has been pals with the Glazers for years.
Would the holdup have anything to do with his court case? Do they take that stuff into account?Beats me. You'd think they'd have checked this out though either way. But it's not just this -- it's pretty much everything they've done. Transfers gone bad, multiple public bids for players who don't want to come (was it Cesc?), panic buying at inflated prices, no sense at all that the players they have "fit" together, failed work permits, and I'm sure I'm leaving some out. There's just a real sense of incompetence to it all.Beats me. I don't think the answer is obvious, and still believe that only time will tell on a deal like this. While it may seem a mistake to make ADM the most expensive PL player, the fact is that Man United can easily absorb his cost. The cost/value analysis for United is much different than LFC buying Ballotelli. The answer is obviously Balotelli, and not because I think he's any sort of guaranteed success.Only time will tell ...Better signing:

No player outside of Messi or CR7 is worth that much. DiMaria's a fine player and will definitely help United, but they got absolutely ###-raped in order to get him. It's actually embarrassing.
And it's not like they just need one last finishing touch on an already excellent squad that helps them to now win the league and the CL either. They still have a decent sized shopping list they need to fill.
I think it has to be the assault charge - looking at Argentina's WC qualifying, I think Rojo was in the squad for all but two games within the last two years - so he easily makes the 75% mark.Would the holdup have anything to do with his court case? Have appreciated your reminders on Man United's finances and buying power.
