Hey, remember that time when I predicted that everyone was going to write off Liverpool?
Turns out they were right, go figure.
Home to Souton and away to City last season - 0 pointsThis season- 3 points

 Pretty big game next week, really can't afford to drop more points, even away....It will be interesting to see if Spurs are ready after playing two bottom-feeders to start the season.
Away wins are never easy and West Ham will be a solid mid-table team this year. I wouldn't discount that win, especially after getting a hosed on the red card.

i think Spurs have looked good to start the season, so I expect a very tough game.

Pfft. Whatever, guy. You really got your panties in a bunch over that one, didn't you? They lost to City. At the Etihad. Clearly City were the better side, but Liverpool looked good for long stretches. If you think this second game of the season will define it, well I'm going to enjoy shoving every win in your face this season.

I have Liverpool on 4 points after three games. Didn't expect them to come out of the gates fast and baring continued ridiculous injuries, they should be there

It's almost like the non Liverpool fans had higher hopes for the team than we did :boxing:

Hello, exactly.

Was hoping for a draw. Jovetic is a stud.

But, I bet you had them on 7 after 3 games...

Also, Pelligrini has his subs nailed on.

Bring on Navas for Silva, more pressure with pace on the opposition without weakening your side

Aguerro .... come on

Then Fernandinho to hold the midfield and free up Toure to terrorize the opposition defense.

Filthy

Yeah I guess I would have won had they finished with a CS. Son of a #####.

With a dead day at work watched the whole game today. Just get the feeling the only way city doesn't win the league is if they go all in for the CL. And even then it will take a few injuries to knock them off. Don't mean too sound like a tool but this team is too solid in the back, steady yet creative in the midfield and dangerous forward. What happens when their best players are all on the field? We could see another 6-1 at OT. They may lose at the bridge but this team is not throwing away silly points like last year. Also this is not a typical sugar daddy club. They have a long term global plan. More than any club in EPL. Was able to talk to Reyna a week or so ago and maybe he is just a good salesman but seems to me we are light years ahead of MU going forward.

Today the #1 radio show in Boston (a sports radio station) did a segment called "Hell hath frozen over in Foxboro" relating to the Jones signing.

The general consensus was that this was not going to move the needle much in this market but that they did feel that the article which shredded Bob Kraft as publically as any ever did in Boston Magazine really got to him.

I forget who was talking about possibly getting SJ Earthquakes season tickets next year in the new stadium but I meant to mention that they ate still planning to have 2 games outside of the new stadium as I think they signed a deal with Levi Stadium.

I DVR'd this game, got wings and went home to watch. The more I watch soccer the more I love it. Watching the first half was an awesome experience. I know it sounds corny, but after playing 'Pool in FM14 for 2 months and immersing myself in fan boards, I feel like this is my team. So I was naturally devastated at the result.

Weird thing was that it seemed like Liverpool controlled the game for the most part. But a few botched plays happened and it got out of control.

It seems to me that this is going to be a tough first few months. In every other sport I know, you can't just go get 8 or 9 players and have it click. So I don't see how it could happen in soccer either. I like Markovic. Man he looks good. I think there are going to be some times where Markovic/Sterling/Sturridge/Balotelli make magic happen. But the defense looks a bit shaky.

What's the deal with Sakho? Isn't he one of the best defenders? Where has he been?

And Glen Johnson...I've watched him play two games and haven't seen him do a single positive thing. I'm still learning the game, but my opinion so far is that he sucks.

Coutinho...does he play the same position as Markovic? Does anyone expect the two to play at the same time, or is going to be one or the other?

Lastly, who do we expect Balotelli to replace in the starting lineup?

Yeah. Didn't want to make it soccer night. Kids and wives type of deal. I know I not breaking news here but basically the way city plans to gobble up a few more teams in other countries and move players in and out. Very interesting stuff. As I said nobody else in the EPL that I know is on this level. Can't even compare city vision to that of glazes. IMO I think just a matter of time before city is an annual top 5 club Maybe pool is closest but still far. Another friend of mine who was also there is part of the group that bought Roma. Lot of cool stuff but we only spent maybe twenty minutes talking about it.

Backyard BBQ. My buddy played at UVA with him and we all spend summer weekends in the same place.

What was the setting?
Did he give you any interesting info on NYCFC?
