Gerviniho imoIs that Gervinho playing left back for Newcastle?
Hmmm... only saw the replay once after the game and it looked even-stevens to me. I'm sure another angle shows the foot off you're talking about.Sinn Fein said:Nbc had the freeze frame on showed he was about a foot off- hard to call in the run of play, and again, nothing like Walkers.Steve Tasker said:I didn't see it in live action but the replay freeze-frame they showed during halftime looked pretty dead-even. Were there better angles?Sinn Fein said:Just a bit...not as bad as Walker, but offside.El Floppo said:I didnt see citys goal... offside too?Christo said:Yeah, should be 1-0 Spurs right now.El Floppo said:Lol at spurs with two crystal clear offside goals

Best "get on my back boys" summer signing ever in MLS imo. I think that is 7 goals in his first 6 games...Drogba abusing DC United.
UPDATE: 20 and 15With still 4 games to go in the regular season, Giovinco has broken the all time league record for most combined goals and assists in a single season. He is now sitting on 19 goals and 16 assists.
He has to be a unanimous MVP winner.
They must have credited him with the goal Saturday that they initially said he assisted on. It never looked like his team mate touched it so this makes sense.UPDATE: 20 and 15... which makes him the first player in MLS history to score 20 and assist on 10+ in a singlr seasonWith still 4 games to go in the regular season, Giovinco has broken the all time league record for most combined goals and assists in a single season. I read somewhere that Barcelona would have to leave La Liga if the independence movement succeeded? Was this just twitter clikcbait or is there some truth in that? It's so wrong that my first thought when reading about the Catalan independence movement was to wonder how this might affect future Euro tourneys.
It makes sense... La Liga would remain as the Spanish league. I am not so sure they would stand for a team from the Catalan capital winning the league all the timeI read somewhere that Barcelona would have to leave La Liga if the independence movement succeeded? It would depend on the whims of FIFA once FIFA recognizes a Catalan FA. Currently FIFA doesn't allow teams in foreign countries to compete in other countries leagues. There are exceptions (Canada and one or two of the teams that compete from Wales in the English leagues spring to mind), but they have to get special approval from both the league and FIFA.I read somewhere that Barcelona would have to leave La Liga if the independence movement succeeded? Basically they would get kicked out of La Liga and then have to have La Liga lobby FIFA to let them back in.
According to the reports I heard (SiriusXM FC) there is no way Catalonia gets independence. And the La Liga president said Barcelona would be kicked out if it did happen. Are there any Primera Division clubs other than Espanyol in Catalonia? That would not appear to make for a great national league by itself (population roughly 7 million).

There's precedent, it's just that La Liga has to want to let them back in. No telling in whatever the political environment would be at that point, if they would.I read that FC Andorra plays in the Spanish system even though Andorra is a sovereign state, so there is some precedent.
Actually Monaco (the country) is not a member of FIFA, so AS Monaco the club is still registered with French FA.
My favorite part of that article is on the sidebar where it lists a goalless draw with San Marino B. Who knew San Marino had a B team?
and the assist to Bradley- in the highlights, I never did actually see the pass leading up to Bradley dribbling down the field and scoring. But I guess that counts as an assist? The Supporter Shield standings in MLS are just crazy with parity.
With only a few games left, the top team in LA is only 6 points ahead of the number 10 team in the standings, and both the number 9 and number 10 teams have a game in hand on LA.

Put it this way, it would be a Spanish/Madrid decision and not Barca's choice.
I don't get it. Is it farce? Mocking him?
There's also a club from New Zealand that plays in Australia and one from Lichtenstein that plays in Switzerland. It would depend on the whims of FIFA once FIFA recognizes a Catalan FA. With any luck...because deep down in places we don't talk about at parties, we want Rodgers on that bench, we need Rodgers on that bench.Brendan Rodgers still employed?
They have an A team?My favorite part of that article is on the sidebar where it lists a goalless draw with San Marino B. Who knew San Marino had a B team?
That's a slick promo. We've come a long way since John "the Juggler" Harkes.US Open Cup Final short hype video from the Union perspective.
