Fox has made a bold step in trying to help promote the Bundesliga.

In 2016 (second half of 2015/2016 season), they will be airing 8 games live on the mothership.
best of luck to them.

In spite of my previous statements to the contrary (wife- how much soccer can you watch? ... me- all of it)... I don't have the time or interest to get caught up with the Bundesliga. when I heard they were going to be showing games, my first thought was  between MLS, EPL, CL and USMNT... my plate's full.
bah!

Stop typing and turn on one of 3 live Euro Qualifying matches that are on TV right now :)

I never thought the time would come that I would say there is too much soccer on the air, but I think for the overall strength of the game, there is too much and the audience is splintered more than any other sport, leaving soccer tv ratings lower than they could be IMO.
Italy v. Norway here!

HT 0-2. Czechs have already qualified, Dutch playing at home in a must win.
And we think the US is in crisis. This is crazy for this level of talent. At least with the US we can say our talent level is meh at best.

Czechs down to 10 men. Lets see if the Dutch have any fight left in them...

Conte finally subs in Candreva@ 70th min, & the front 4 of Graziano, Giovinco, Candreva & Florenzi proceeded to run riot; scoring two goals & having a potential third ruled offside...their interplay was something to watch...refreshingly anti-cantenaccio..The game being in Rome, it was especially sweet for Roman-born Florenzi, who not only started, but had a goal & an assist as well. 'Lil Gio was something to see; the best performance I've seen him have for the Azzuri

he's rubbed just the right amount of MLS on him.

Very happy to see Graz get the game winner after he had missed a couple of opportunities in the early going. Saints need a confident Graz.

Great goal by RVP. :excited:

What a waste by the Dutch. From 3rd place in the WC to not qualifying for the Euros.
Scoreboard don't lie I suppose, but Holland was extremely lucky to get past Mexico in the round of 16, then squeeked past the Ticos on penalties and had a broken Brazil team in the meaningless 3rd place game.

Regarding Gionvinco

"General manager Bezbatchenko is expecting "unprecedented" transfer offers. But, no indication he's leaving TFC. "

========================================

With Giovinco likely having to miss a chunk of next season to play in the Euro Championships, TFC is going to hard pressed to turn down a significant offer and just buy a new player this winter. The offer would have to make sense though.

He's gonna be one of the most coveted players to come out if the MLS.

Any other non US players made big transfers after playing inn the MLS.

Big? Yedlin was $5mil. Defoe was $2-3mil.That's all I got.
I think was asking about non American's so that rules out Yedlin and Jozy and others who were sold.

Outside of Defoe (which I thought was more in the $5m range), I am struggling to think of one. I know some have moved on to better things but those were typically on a free.

wait, are you asking about Americans or non American's?

If you want Americans

Jozy for $10m

EJ for $6m

Edu for $5m

Dempsey for $4m

Yedlin for $4m

Howard for $4m

Freddie Montero's was rumored to be the highest ever at $12m but that was never confirmed because it was a complicated deal.

They also scored 10 goals in 3 games in one of the stronger groups.

Freddy from the Sounders.

Happy to see the Italians and Turks through to Euro 2016. Iceland too.

My only favorite team that didn't make it was the Faroes, but they finished ahead of Greece in the group and swept them in group play, so go to hell, Greece.

For saying Refs were afraid to award his team pk's. He also challenged the FA to punish him, which they did.

And yet Klinsman won't call him up...you have an otherworldly playmaker/trequartista like that, and still, you insist on mundane AM's & forwards. Coulda been the Michael Jordan of US soccer...Recognize, Jurgen, recognize. He's still young...form is temporary, class is forever!
Just Stop

Stadium Ban? I've seen touchline bans, but does this mean he isnt even allowed to attend the game? Watching it at home on TV like the rest of us?
