Copa Mundial

As classic as they come
they still make copas? would make me very happy if they did. I think I still have a pair of them at my parent's house. (probably 2 sizes two small, as was my custom... buy them, put them on at home and soak my feet in them in water for a bit and then walk around in them for a while.... would mold perfectly to my feet.

Yes they do!  Bought my last pair about 2 years ago I think?  I think soccer.com has them.

And yes I do the same thing to break mine in.

the kangaroo skin cleats broke in the best with that method... you'd see each toe, like one of those stupid glove/running-shoes.

yes they did.  Any some of my sunday league mates have never heard of this method.  But then again one of them wore white cleats growing up... so there's that.

My cousin from Italy left me his old pair when he went back after a visit...I tried to wet them also, but they were always too big to fill (he ended up being an Italian semi-pro player, due to injury)...still don't know why they wouldn't fit.  I CONSTANTLY  doused those muddafukkas!

Its got to be the most impressive roster for a charity game I've ever seen. Very appropriate for Eto'o that he didn't invite any keepers.

Conte's first game managing Chelsea is tomorrow in Austria and it is confirmed that Hazard is indeed in Turkey to participate in the Eto'o event.

Conte & Hazard should prove to be an interesting dynamic.  I say that with sincerity...Hazard is one of my favorite players to watch, when he's on his game.

Easy answer is you're a Barcelona/Arsenal fan

Maybe ask them what they are, play dumb. Then when he tries explaining it don't recognize any of the players or other teams he mentions.

Basically, be every guy that complains about soccer on here
"They should make the goal bigger!  Also, I hate that offsides stuff. They should get rid of that!"

"The Spurs! Hell yeah! Love The Spurs. What do you think about Tim Duncan leaving?"

Giovinco currently linked to Roma  ...would love to see him as a "false nine" in Spaletti's system...Perotti has excelled there, but it would be nice to see "The Atomic Ant" challenge him for that role, or one as a winger in a 4-3-3.  I have a serious an crush on this man...& NO! THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!

N'golo Kante is indeed a Chelsea player. £30m transfer fee and a five-year deal estimated at £150,000 per week.  Congrats young man. What an amazing year culminating in this great day for him.

How long before Leicester are relegated?  3 years?
They paid 9mil for Kante less than a year ago so more than tripled their investment. Rainieri just gave an interview where he said their goal is to get 40 points and stay up. Of course they could drop but I wouldn't bet on it as they seem to be making smart moves. They bought a dm from Nice for 15m and a cf from CSKA for 20 so far, so they're not sitting on their hands.

His sleeves are adorable...

35,000 tonight for the FC Cincinnati v. Crystal Palace game - most ever to see a soccer game in Ohio.

I thought Cincinnati played well enough - created a few legitimate scoring chances.  CP players generally just faster physically, and mentally.  Both goals were well taken, Jordon Mutch scored a screamer in the first half, Zaha hit in the second half.

Very impressed with the Cincinnati supporters - I'd say at least 2/3 were wearing FC-C gear.  The "rowdy" supporter section behind the goal was rocking all game long.  MLS would do well to fast-track a team in Cincinnati - would create another rivalry with Columbus similar to Portland-Seattle, where away fans could easily travel.

Stadium seems to be a perfect soccer-sized stadium - it is the UofC football stadium, but small enough to feel full, and close enough to be on top of the field.  I think the max capacity is 35,000 - they opened the upper deck for tonights game, but normally seats 25,000 or so in the lower bowl.

I didn't catch her name, but wow the woman who sang the national anthem in Portland crushed it. Goosebumps and chills.

Gotta say I wasn't relishing seeing David Villa, one of my favorite players, in the "retirement league" but he's been delightful. Eternal him and Keane there's always a wily striker to watch.

Him and Pirlo have been frankly awesome to watch this year.  It's pretty obvious the two of them know tactics, space, and angles better than the rest of the league and when you throw in Lampard to clean up its really fun to watch (lamps has also let Pirlo have a little bit more free reign).  They just know how to play and while they  can spray the ball around, a loris the time you end up thinking "how the hell did he even think of that option".

Harrison has also looked good after taking over for Shelton which I guess should be the pecking order for U23 right forward/wings for the time being.

Don't know why, but Frankie Lampard has always been my favorite English player, ever since Paul Gascoigne(?) retired.

I was selfishly hoping he'd hold out for Atlanta.
Have you heard of any coaches that Atlanta is talking to?

They seem to be pushing forward on all fronts, academies, youth teams and they even signed Kenwyne Jones last week (they will loan him out until Atlanta starts up next spring) so I have to assume they are looking at coaches right now as well.

Damnit, Kafka. I thought we had something, you and me. I ####### hate Lampard. Bloody %^&*@!, if you ask me.
