Atlanta (or Orlando) can really put a marker down for a playoff spot if they get 4 or 6 points in the back-to-backI will be at that game.We sure need a win on this one.I think this can grow into a real rivalry.

Not bad travel time to Atlanta from Orlando about 6 hours .So I may try to go to the one in Atlanta too.Even though I am going to go out of the way and go through N.C. and S.C. to go back home from Indy to avoid Atlanta traffic. It was so bad up there on 75 I swore I would never drive through Atlanta againAtlanta (or Orlando) can really put a marker down for a playoff spot if they get 4 or 6 points in the back-to-back
Lot of forwards probably deserve it over Dwyer. Accam, for instance. I get that a ton of Chicago guys made it, but it's been an awesome turnaround.I'm totally biased but I thought Josef Martinez would make it from Atlanta. Not surprised they have 3 but surprised 2 of the 3 are defenders.
Dwyer - .35 goals per 90 minI'm totally biased but I thought Josef Martinez would make it from Atlanta. Not surprised they have 3 but surprised 2 of the 3 are defenders.
I think Josef is hurt by playing only 9 games (and starting only 6). Obviously he's been super productive when healthy. The Loons trolled SKC by comparing Dom's stats to Christian Ramirez as well.Dwyer - .35 goals per 90 min
Josef - 1.36 goals per 90 min

think it mighta been a USSF interest list - I live one town over from RBA so maybe that factored in.awesome! Some one in the US thread also posted they got some for their family.
What method did you use to get these? Were they AO tickets or some other presale method?
I did not mention it in my post but neither Dwyer nor Acosta were chosen by either the fans or the coach (Chicago's coach).Lot of forwards probably deserve it over Dwyer.
Fans and Paunavich have to own Howard and Frei though. Neither are among the league leaders in any metric. SOs, Save %, GAA, Wins. Nothing.I did not mention it in my post but neither Dwyer nor Acosta were chosen by either the fans or the coach (Chicago's coach).
They were both Garber's picks.
You can't blame fans IMO. In ever single sport fans vote for the most popular player, which is Howard by leaps and bounds at keeper.Fans and Paunavich have to own Howard and Frei though. Neither are among the league leaders in any metric. SOs, Save %, GAA, Wins. Nothing.
Fire haven't played SKC yet, apparently. Looking at the keeper stats, poor Hamid has just been peppered with shots this year. Don't know how they broke Birnbaum, but he turned into a pumpkin overnight. You can't blame fans IMO. The only thing I can think of with Paunavich is that he was instructed to spread the picks around the best he could. There might have been some business reasons behind making sure the second biggest fan base in the league had a representative.
Just guessing here.
Arguably the best turn around in league history IMO (at least so far). This team was awful for years on end.I get that a ton of Chicago guys made it, but it's been an awesome turnaround.
Costa Rica recently played Honduras at RBA in the Gold Cup and while the Honduran fan were in the majority, there were plenty of CR fans in the building. If there are plenty of seats left at the start of the public sale of tickets, then we are probably going to see a 70-30ish type crowd for the mix of US to CR fans.for the heck of it took another look using the presale link. plenty of seats left. so if you are going public sale route you should have a good shot. doesnt help that it is the Friday of Labor Day weekend. I have a funny feeling there wont be the kind of home advantage we get in places like Columbus.

Morata's per 90 stats were incredible last year, but that's 1300 minutes of work. We've never really seen him with starters minutes for a senior team. We'll see.Does anyone know if Alvaro Morata is any good? I heard he can't even beat out Benzema for a spot in the first XI and that he dyed his hair red?

Watching this long drawn out process with so many cities, I am fascinated by the fact that no one is talking about Phoenix and they look to be the only group that already has land and is 100% committed to not using any public funding to build the stadium. Here's what NCFC is going to propose. I have no idea how this fits in that area, but maybe I have my geography off.

He's emerged as the club's social media MVP, engaging rival fans on twitter and riffing on transfer rumors. I'd love to see him play more.I also wouldn't be surprised to see Batshuayi carve out some minutes too.
I've done my best to avoid the rumor mongers this summer, but if what was reported is to be believed ... as of a month or so ago, CFC wanted Lukaku and Lukaku wanted CFC, while the same was said of Moratta and Man United. What a tangled web. I've made my opinion on Lukaku known. Don't know Moratta much at all, but I believe he played for Conte at Juve one or two years, which I'll take as a positive.Steal of the Draft, imo
I thought I read something today that Conte brought him to Juve, but left before Morata actually played. But, I might have mis-read that.I've done my best to avoid the rumor mongers this summer, but if what was reported is to be believed ... as of a month or so ago, CFC wanted Lukaku and Lukaku wanted CFC, while the same was said of Moratta and Man United. I love Diego's attitude on the field, not sure what happened between him and the manager. In any event, very much hope you're instinct is correct, as it usually is. I'd take a Kluivert clone for sure.Either way he's an upgrade over Costa IMO - both in terms of skill and attitude - and that makes this a really exciting signing.
Chelsea are having a good summer, imo. Getting Conte extended might have been one of their better moves.Chelsea already announced the Morata deal LOL. It took them a month to unveil Bakayoko.
No coincidence this comes less than a day after Conte got his new contract. Sure seems like Morata was his first choice of the remaining strikers. He seems to be the least flashy of the supposed available top guns (Belotti/Aubameyang/Aguero) but also one of the most complete. Or so it seems.
Either way he's an upgrade over Costa IMO - both in terms of skill and attitude - and that makes this a really exciting signing.
lol - just like an NFL GM on draft day - "We traded down but got the #1 guy we wanted anyway."Now, of course, all the reports out of Chelsea are that Morata was the first choice all along.![]()
I've no idea what to believe, but one broadly accepted rumor is that Chelsea matched the offer for the player, fee+wages, but would not match the agent fee Raiola would get from United. Its a strange double-agency thing where Raiola gets a higher fee if the player goes to United, because he negotiates the acquisition deal with Everton and then negotiates the wage package with United. He doesn't have the same relationship with Chelsea, so would have received far less. One thing I noticed about both players' stats - they both seem to pile up goals in the blow-out games against smaller clubs, not so much when they're on the big stage.Didn't Chelsea try to match Man U? I think it's clear they preferred Lukaku. Everyone I heard in the media, however, preferred Morata. It was weird, as they were saying that Lukaku had to prove he could succeed at this level, when he has a lot more top league goals.
Just a nitpik, but a potentially significant one with this club/owner - the club didn't actually extend Conte as was reported, just gave him a pay raise over the existing two years left on his contract. The concern is that perhaps they moved more into his guaranteed salary, but reduced the buy out if he leaves.Chelsea are having a good summer, imo. Getting Conte extended might have been one of their better moves.
I think ultimately Morata will work harder off the ball than Costa did, or Lukaku will. And, he does not seem to be a #### like Costa.I've no idea what to believe, but one broadly accepted rumor is that Chelsea matched the offer for the player, fee+wages, but would not match the agent fee Raiola would get from United. How can you not love this stuff! I am probably glad I did not know this tidbit this morning - pretty much the entire basis for me selecting Morata was based on Conte's new deal, and that he would not have signed without some assurance that he would get a new striker.Just a nitpik, but a potentially significant one with this club/owner - the club didn't actually extend Conte as was reported, just gave him a pay raise over the existing two years left on his contract. Not sure that flies in the Post-Manifesto world, although I can't imagine Joe ever reading a soccer thread. And, he does not seem to be a #### like Costa.
Somewhere there's a real estate agent saying, "can you believe the conflicts those player agents get away with?"How can you not love this stuff! It's like having a whole month of about 100 Kirk Cousins stories.
Got James' wages off the books earlier. Clearing the decks for Mbappe?Pretty good day for Real - selling two bench players for 100m pounds.
Seems like a lucky blow to me. I don't understand a world where Ross Barkley goes for 50 million and demands 150K a week. You can probably get Wilshere for a bag of chips. And in Spurs' world, their top transfer choice just had surgery on his groin...
We don't need no stinkin' transfers...
There is no universe where Wilshere ends up at Spurs.Seems like a lucky blow to me. I don't understand a world where Ross Barkley goes for 50 million and demands 150K a week. You can probably get Wilshere for a bag of chips.
People who have seen this have said it is incredible.the george best 30/30 is on epsn tonight at 8:30.
