Really a great season. Barça went from strength to strength it seems. They closed out nearly everyone (except Rayo... what's up with that?)
Stupid Atlético letting second slip away with a loss to 20th Elche who have nothing to play for.

Being able to create such a stingy defense in La Liga (13 goals against in 34 games) definitely helped get results even when the offense was faltering (as it often did without Pedri).

I dislike the "Loyal" name but I do agree they need something more than the typical generic soccer monikers we've seen lately. I wouldn't be against them using San Diego Sockers if they can get it from the indoor team.

I think you misunderstood me. No one cares whether Landon is involved or not. What fans do care about is whether the Loyal will be able to survive, which many think will be impossible. The best case was the new MLS team buying the loyal and merging operations but unfortunately it looks like they did not come to an agreement.Glad SD is getting a team. If I am spending $500m on an expansion fee, I would certainly throw in an extra $25-$50m to buy and merge the Loyal and keep as much of the front office in place as possible. If there has to be a rebrand, so be it but the Sounders, the Impact, the Timbers all made the transition with out having to rebrand (although all 3 had much deeper histories than the Loyal do).

Jurgen Klopp has been suspended from the touchline for two matches and fined £75,000 following media comments that he made after Liverpool’s Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 30 April 2023.
The first match of the manager’s touchline ban is effective immediately and the second is suspended until the end of the 2023/24 season on the condition that he does not commit any further breaches of FA Rule E3 in the meantime.

FC Cincinnati remain atop the Supporters' Shield race with 30 points after 13 games. Even in a league with this much parity, it's not supposed to turn around this fast. FCC finished bottom of the league THREE YEARS IN A ROW. Within 15 months, they're among the league's best.

In the US Open Cup last night, NYRB were playing Cincy and the game went to extra time. During extra time NY decided it wanted to put in its backup keeper as a field player because he might be used during pk's but they did not have a field jersey for him. So the kit man during extra time ran to a store in the stadium where they sold replica jerseys and printed his name on the back of one...
