Onana for DDG is a massive ETH move.
Antony from Ajax and Mount were both ETH moves
He pushed hard for Rojlund as well - these are guys that press high and can move the ball quickly - this is the style that ETH wants to play for sure, get the ball from the back to the attack ASAP. Thus the reason you see guys like Erickson not playing much. Sancho is a great attacker, but not so great on the press whereas Rashford and Garnecho are.
You don't release a United legend in goal, multi time player of the year without sticking your neck on the line quite a bit. I am not an Onana fan, but I only watched him a bit while at Ajax, did not see him at Inter much last year. He is reckless at times with his confidence, hopefully that was a younger version of the player however.
Sounds like ManU are in for higher scoring games this season.
It is very difficult to extrapolate from league to league, but his teams at Ajax averaged nearly 3gpg. However, they allowed way less than 1 gpg. Obviously the Eredivise doesn't have near the depth and talent of the premier league.
But high pressing teams do offer more chances in the attack and they allow more on the counter, so you would think they would be higher scoring games. United preseason games have not shown this other than an exciting 3-2 game vs Dortmund (another high pressing team), their games have been relatively lower scoring. Of course this has a lot to do with player rotation as well.
I expect ALL premier league games to have slightly higher scoring than normal (see my championship league comments previously) but I don't necessarily think United's games will be any higher scoring than usual. Getting points is much more important than goals, and they have the talent to put the ball in lock down mode if they get a lead.
